I think Walensky's comments are beyond tone-deaf and will be dangerous, but I don't really get into doomposting from randos. I do think Biden and the CDC have been far too tentative and blinkered from the start.

These days it's so hard to tell between doomposting and real life. I could see pretty much everything in those tweets happening, even if I don't think Biden would blame gays for buck-passing (I do think some others would, sadly).

I'm just so tired of this slowness and apathy and blindness toward the threat in this country. I don't believe Welensky or the CDC are deliberately fostering homophobia, but that's what is happening anyway through such poor responses that beg people to assume gay or bi men did something to children.

I'm with you. My main issue is guilt by association. Even if Monkey Pox was spread by a pedophile that happened to be gay, that should have nothing to do with gay people as a whole. It's the pedophilia that's the problem, but of course certain people will make it sound like gay equals pedophile. Some days I'm just sad that people aren't smart enough to see through this sort of hate mongering.

On a different note, I want to slap whatever white house genius came up with the idea of changing the common definition of a recession. Did they think we wouldn't notice? It's the type of disingenuous BS I would have expected from the Trumpers, who are now tripping over themselves with righteous indignation. I hate these kind of self inflicted wounds.

I'm not quite sure which issue you are referring to, but it doesn't matter. The answer is the same, we have not learned one damn thing.

Thank goodness! Lord knows doctors, nurses and engineers don't have enough job opportunities. We have a shortage of workers in these areas!!  I guess I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, but I really need these folks to up their game.

This is so infuriating.

Historic pride jersey sparks player boycott in Australia

On Thursday, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will become the first team in the competition ever to don a kit which promotes LGBT inclusivity in the sport. But players weren't consulted and some object to the move on religious and cultural grounds.

Poor little ones. Having to wear a jersey that promotes equality and tolerance. How rude of the team to expect them to support something like that!

Surely this will inspire a new country hit in the spirit of Tammy Wynette?

It seems like it took several weeks for them to come up with this story that somehow Roberts was trying to convince Kavanaugh to vote to preserve Roe v. Wade. Two conservatives…were ever going to vote to preserve Roe v. Wade?

    • It's so jarring seeing the changeover from Sherry Mathis to Louan Gideon.  The vibe, mannerisms, and overall personality of Liza changes instantly. The chemistry Sherry has with both David F and Joe Lambie is gone the second the recast happens.  I wonder how viewers took the news of the recast since you didn't have time in between airings before the change happened. Quinn/Sarah... One overacts (Quinn) and one under acts (Sarah). Wendy of 1985 is a good mix of the 1982 sweet Wendy and the 1983/84 vixenish Wendy.
    • Oups!! I guess when i was doing the editing, i left a part of 3169, too (RTL Lounge airs 2 episodes per day back to back). Sorry about that ! Tonight i ll try to record 3171-3172. If i m not mistaken 3172 is missing from YouTube.

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
