I'm seriously beginning to suspect they'll either hang or convict, at which point Judge Lee Greenwood will immediately declare a mistrial (which he's elected to delay ruling on since the defense asked for one yesterday mid-deliberations, probably bc they're spooked), possibly with prejudice, which I believe would prevent Rittenhouse from being tried again. He's shopping for the verdict he wants before he nukes the alternative.

I expect Rittenhouse to walk no matter what, but seeing the jury defy this entire sham and that despicable judge would be nice. Big if.

Of course he walked. Why don't they give him a key to the city?

Not guilty on all counts.

Who's not shocked?

I'm not shocked, I never had the faith that it would go any other way.

Honestly, I don't know what that says about me personally, but I never allowed myself to get invested in this trial because I have believed for years that this wouldn't stop at Trayvon Martin's murder, these self-appointed vigilantes would only become more brazen and eventually, it wouldn't be just Black and brown people who would be the victims of this violence. The law has been propping up these types for years, it was always going to happen that these violent types would extend themselves beyond the usual victims.

Also, that jury make-up should've told you what you needed to know from the get-go.

I'm not shocked. I wasn't invested in this trial either. In the conservative hierarchy (which is the dominant one in America) Rittenhouse was innocent because people who were killed were "race traitor" white liberals.

What's next for Rittenhouse. Does he fade into obscurity with a cushy job like Nick Sandmann the Kentucky kid who antagonize those elderly Native Americans or will he be contributor on right wing outlets earning a seven figure salary.

I said when it happened (the verdict), the next move by the Trumpers would be to applaud Rittenhouse and make a champion out of him/put him on a pedestal as a virtuous wonderful human being.  And that's what the Trumps are doing.  All to rally their base of racists.  They know who is in their party, and they love it.  So you tweet about it and make him a hero and you fan the flames as much as possible.  They're so easy to figure out.

You're absolutely right. He's no hero, but an entitled punk. These people are shameless and disgusting.

I agree. How on Earth did 12 people decide that little bastard was innocent? Not that this is the first or last time it will happen. The obsession this country has with gun owner rights is insane. Too many don't care who is murdered as long as they can keep their precious guns, which has been obvious since Sandy Hook at least.
