Also, it's easy to forget some low level scandals, but do you forget freezing with your kids for days while your [!@#$%^&*] Senator takes his girls to Mexico!? This is personal. With any luck this is TC's Lee Terry moment. Terry got booted out of congress after bragging about how he had a nice house to pay for and kids in college when asked if he was going to forgo his paycheck during a government shutdown/ budget crisis. I don't like to see anyone suffer under any circumstances, but even as I applaud Beto O'Rourke and others for reaching out and providing badly needed resources like blankets during this crisis, at the same time, I'm also "I told you so"-ing Texans who elected idiots Ted Cruz and Greg Abbott into office. After being caught he finally admitted that it was a long weekend vacation but he came back earlier and only spent two days in Cancun. I'm sure soon he'll finally admit it was his ugly wife decision on the trip as it's being reported. Give him time. He's not use to be honest. True, it would've been an equally bastard-y thing to tell the public. But it would've been honest. Because, if you're gonna do something that'll look bad in the eyes of the public, you might as well invite your friends to join in!
