October 22, 200718 yr Member Friday (U.S.) was just the collapse of the Clear Springs casino parking garage, due to the substandard concrete used to construct it. The second, much larger, even more devastating disaster will be the methane gas explosion, which I think will level the entire town. So there will be plenty of blame to go around, the fur definitely flying between CE (Kay/Cane), NE (Victor/Neil) and NVP (Nikki/David) afterward! Edited October 22, 200718 yr by Toups
October 22, 200718 yr Member I wasn't expecting a new opening montage just for this event. So far the whole thing is really boring!
October 22, 200718 yr Member I wasn't expecting a new opening montage just for this event. So far the whole thing is really boring! Boring is the word for it! I watched the firs 5 min and then changed it! It sucks balls!!
October 23, 200718 yr Member well the talk about today's show being much better, well that wasnt the case as it still sucked and was boring. I think all I need to do is watch the last 2 minutes for the cliffhangers b thats where all the action is. The other part of the show is just a boring mess
October 23, 200718 yr Member Nick's Sean Penn/Mystic River moment at the end was inspired. I hope Noah escapes his ordeal with a new personality.
October 23, 200718 yr Member Nick's Sean Penn/Mystic River moment at the end was inspired. I hope Noah escapes his ordeal with a new personality. I'd rather they kill off Noah. I cant stand the character. Isnt it interesting the best thing about Y&R right now is the theme song at the end on SoapNet.
October 23, 200718 yr Member After Friday, I wasn't expecting much. However, I liked the Jack/Sharon/Nick scenes. I especially liked the twist at the end leading us to the next group that is trapped. Very clever to free Nick and Sharon only to have them find out that Noah is now trapped. Also, glad that Victor showed real concern for Nikki. It will be interesting if they do connect this to the sabotage of the Newman jet as Victor indicated. (I did like the special opening.) Considering that our shows have to come up with 250 new episodes a year, I don't mind a few stunts like this, if they launch us into new stories. The show is definitely in the ashes, perhaps this will be a new beginning. I just pray David and a few others decide to be heroes and end up in the rubble and never come out!
October 23, 200718 yr Member I'm really disappointed...I've already seen Tuesday's episode and it's a a lot of the same boring crap. The new opening is horrible. It's just one huge disappointment. What a waste!
October 23, 200718 yr Member Also, glad that Victor showed real concern for Nikki. I didn't think he showed much concern (or emotion) at all. I was stunned at how long it took him to get up out of his chair to see the devastation for himself, given what Nick went through this summer.

I watched today's episode on Soapnet, and ughhhh...... The explosion was lame on Friday, and the dialogue isn't impressing me much either.... It's pissing me off that Victoria wasn't mentioned as much as Nick, I mean Victoria is pregnant and everyone seems to be worried about Nick & Sharon. Brad the cad called Sharon's cell, but made no mention of Victoria who could be pregnant with his kid. I mean Brad wouldn't know one way or the other where Vicki was for sure, and you'd think one of the first things he'd think about was the baby. The asshat calls Nicki and doesn't even mention Victoria, this is absurd. Why didn't Neil mention anything about Vicki when he was telling Brad how insensitive he was when he was asking Nicki about Sharon? I don't like that only particular people will be featured each day, because it seems like people that are featured earlier are more important; of course this is LML's whacked out version of Y&R that's beyond rational and a lot of the time lacks sense..... October 23, 200718 yr Member I'm an occassional viewer, but I taped it and watched. Boy, I thought it was lame. All the hype, and it's clear everyone in charge is in love with the special effects. How long was that opening pan of all the damage? It's hard to admit this, but last year's "Ice Storm" on ATWT was done better. And that featured an ice storm in September.
October 23, 200718 yr Member Was that a bad episode or what? And the dialogue by Bernie with all those references and trying-to-be-funny moments... This show has become such a farce...

I have the same complaints but I see it in reverse; that the ones featured later are more important and will get the climactic rescue. Maybe that's just wishful thinking; that this has to get better. I've seen today's and all I can say is, don't expect much. Edited October 23, 200718 yr by TC Greene
