I liked the Philip/Billie scene. Julie Pinson has awesome chemistry with her on-screen siblings.

What's with all the unnecessary flashbacks for the Vegas crowd? It feels like this "Touch the Sky" plot has been outsourced to JER.

Sometimes the boring episodes do better then the good ones so who knows. All I know is the episodes that are usually expected to be bad in numbers end up much better then we all think. Tomorrow doesn't sound boring...it just doesn't feature the people we are all the most interested in at the moment.

Same goes for today...minus EJ, Lucas, Sami, Bo, and Roman. I enjoyed those scenes and Lucas being so desperate to find Sami. The Lucas/EJ scenes at the end where they began to come together was nice. I also liked Lucas calling out the PD and Roman's response to it.

I enjoyed Billie interacting with Philip and delving back into her law enforcement background was a nice touch. I wish they would give her more to do. I also enjoyed Billie's interaction with Shawn. We hardly ever get that and Billie was important in Shawn's life when he was younger so I enjoyed that. Shawn/Bo/Roman was good too. Belle/Philip are sweet and so were their scenes but the proposal at the end was nice and had a emotional feel to it. It was very simple but the music and beach gave it a romantic and special feel. I really enjoyed it.

The Vegas gang was alright. I liked Max going after Ilsa and trying to find out what is going on. Chelsea/Jett was ok too and Nick is hilarious right now. Stephanie/Jeremy was boring though. I just want something different in regards to them to happen because right now that part of the story is stagnant.

Not a bad show today but it was a little slow. However, the characters that are on today and tomorrow feature some that haven't been on much so I am glad they are being showcased a bit. They need to be so that the balance doesn't get off track. I do not like the fact that the "Touch the Sky" gang has been on all week and that needs to be cut down on big time IMO. I also agree about the flashbacks. They aren't needed. I can only assume that Days is doing flashbacks like that for young fans who don't watch everyday. I think that is why JER does them too. I hate it because it treats the audience like they are stupid and can find out what happened from the actual writing of the episode. The flashbacks just aren't needed and are weird considering Hogan hardly ever uses them.

Nope.

Wow what a waste. It's like the quality from yesterday to today is so vastly inferior it's a different soap.

The random flashing special effects in the montage for the casino transition gave me a headache.

OMG this is so nauseating with them giving Stephanie and Jeremy champagne and romantic music like we are supposed to think their hot tub love scene is a turn on when it wasn't even a week ago he was trying to drown her and we got no make up scene between them that I can recall.

OK Nick slightly amused me as the jealous dork but mainly still because I am thinking of him as "Massive Head Wound Harry." OK I spoke too soon.

"Are we like... done?"

"Yeah, Nick... so done."

LAMEST BREAKUP EVER.

Hooray for the first slap in a while when Ilsa hit Max. I much prefer those to all the bombs going off. I guess with Max's scene in the casino though that I was right about my theory that Jeremy was involved in some sort of human trafficking operation now that we see that Ilsa wound up in Vegas and with some sleazy guy. Too bad I have not been given any reason to care about Ilsa, Jeremy or Max or this storyline.

The flashbacks today and everything besides the Shelle/Phelle and Vegas stuff seemed it was was definitely filler. What the hell are they stalling for though? Isn't this still the July sweeps period?

Why are they having Belle being seduced by Phillip's money and fancy presents? Hello... she is rich as hell too being the daughter of John Black last time I checked.

Yay for Billie reappearing in Salem again... I guess... even if her scenes are so far apart and she's so drastically changed in appearance with a new makeover it seems each time that I can hardly recognize her. Anyone know what Julie Pinson's deal is though? I'm pretty sure Jason's site has her listed as having her contract expire in Sept.

Why does ShawnDuh have to be the spawn of Bope? Ugh. The character just sucks and they are so great that I want to believe them when they talk him up but I... just... can't.

And OMG I didn't think they could top the forklift of doom in the lameness factor but EJ opening the beeping briefcase so the stinkbomb smoke can knock them out? WTF? We are supposed to believe one month this man is so MacGyver-like savvy he can break into a sunroof window to rescue Sami and so in tune with what the DiMeras are doing that he can just see Rolf and immediately know that they tried to poison Sami with her hospital food, yet his reaction to his briefcase beeping after a visit to Andre the same night that a beeping bouquet of flowers is dropped off at Lucas and Sami's apartment is to open up the briefcase without a thought? STOP DUMBING DOWN CHARACTERS TO ADVANCE YOUR PLOT, HOGAN! And when the smoke starts billowing out and EJ is knocked unconscious we see Sami and Lucas just stand there without trying to run away because the blocking for the scene has Lucas holding Sami to keep her from going anywhere ensuring she gets caught up in the smoke? SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stupid!!! Does Hogan Sheffer really think the cure to this show's ratings ills is more explosions and flashing lights and beeping sounds like he can just wave a shiny object (gosh Belle's engagement ring sure is pretty who cares if the guy who is giving it to her is a total loser idiot whose answers to life's problems are driving through buildings and who chose shacking up with a pathologically lying hooker with pyromania rather than being there for his supposed soul mate when she told him she cared about him and wanted him to be a father to Claire when the paternity reveal happened) in front of our faces and we'll keep tuning in?

I would settle for a few less "shocking" plot twists and all the bells and whistles they are busting out with these special effects if we could just get some character-based drama with witty dialogue and real emotional payoff up in this piece. Jeez.

OK someone else can have the soapbox now.

Pinson has chemistry with everyone. It's a shame she's being wasted.

When there's unncessary flashbacks, it's because the episode was taped/edited too short and they needed something to fill in the gap.

I wouldn't be so sure. As I said, usually when we all expect it, it doesn't happen. Yesterday was good and Monday wasn't horrible. Plus, the promo for this week is good. This is the time period that Days usually sees good numbers or at least stays the same no matter what they show. Last year at this time, they were just as boring with the Carrie/Austin/Sami/Lucas/EJ and Belle/Shawn/Mimi/Philip stuff going nowhere for weeks and the show somehow managed to hold on to a 2.7 through a whole month long period. We'll see but I agree that this episode was overall boring and tomorrow looks about the same. Shelle fans and Steve/Kayla fans may save the numbers though. The week Shelle made love in April saw good numbers so who knows.

I'm watching the show right now and I don't find it boring at all. Yes, if you're only watching for certain characters or stories that aren't being featured right now, then yes you will not be interested and may find it boring. I, however, love the entire ensemble, so I'm not find any of these stories boring, even Touch the Sky.

It's nice to see Billie again. Each day we get closer to September, I get worried. Pinson's contract is up in September and she may not be signed back on and that worries me. I love Pinson and she has made the role of Billie her own. She has chemistry with everyone on the cast. I loved her scenes with Philip and Shawn.

PHELLE was, as always, amazing. I like how they're taking this storyline right now. No one is doing anything underhanded. No one is playing dirty. These are just two men that really want Belle's heart. This has the potential of being an awesome triangle.

Jeremy and Stephanie are gag-worthy. God, I don't think I've ever hated a character more than Shelley Henning's Stephanie Johnson. I think the last time I hated a character this much it was Chelesa circa Hogan's run. Oh wait, that may be because Stephanie is a repeate of immature slutty Chelsea. I almost threw up with Jeremy started sucking Steph's toes. That was not cute.

Max and Ilsa, the next big thing? I see potential.

Jett vs. Nick is hilarious. Nick, in general, is funny when he's acting like this.

I wasn't paying much attention to EJ/Sami/Lucas at all. I'll admit it.

i could definitely use a break from EJ, Sami, and Lucas....I love all three characters, but when they are on so often it grows tiring...I haven't watched todays show yet, but i'm looking forward to seeing Billie...

How hard it is to believe that Days maintained a 2.7 rating through the awful Carrie/Lucas/Austin/Sami storyline. It was the worst and longest worst I've seen even topping the evil Dr. North storyline. The story this summer is superior in many ways, but I think it just was rushed. Overlooking how it got here, I'm really enjoying them all.

I wondered why on earth Ilse got so violent with Max and wondered if he might be blowing her cover. Maybe she is an undercover agent, too. Her phony accent is buggingly horrible, but she is cute.

I love, love, love Nick. He is so cute and back to his former fun self. Tomorrow with Jerry Springer should be a real hoot.

It's just time now to move Touch The Sky story to the next level and finish it off. Please get rid of Stephanie and Jeremy. They are worse than Brady and Chloe the last few weeks they were boring the life out of me.

Also, I think the Sami storyline is starting to wind down, too. What happens next?

Couldn't they fill the time with a glimpse of something - anything LOL!!

Have to ask, you mentioned EJ and Sami are HS's couple -- how can this be if what he said is true and he plans to "cement" lucas and Sami's marriage?? And is Wyman the one that's pushing lucas and Sami??

I also read that post and am scratching my head about it after reading the article from SOD. Doesn't look to me that EJ and Sami are HS' couple at all. Quite the opposite. That might be a good thing as far as my viewing of the show goes, if I continue to be interested . I think I've been giving Days a pass while viewing it through my rose-tinted EJami glasses. Now that those glasses have been effectively smashed to smithereens by HS, I think I'll be able judge what I'm watching quite a bit more objectively and will be able to skewer the show appropriately when necessary. :P
