Exactly.

Acknowledgin that Sharon is a heroine (a classic one) & Phyllis is an anti-heroine (a classic one) does NOT mean that one is bashin one to prop the other.

For a long time prior to bein thrown in Phyllis orbit Sharon was one of the most universally reviled characters, so to act as if she's always been loved or treated as some sort of Saint is false.

Sharon is an emotionally needy individual that often confuses sex with love, tends to make bad choices in men & has Daddy issues a mile wide but rarely does anything to aggressively hurt anyone.

Phyllis is an emotionally unstable, sociopathic parasite that refuses to grow up & is too cowardly to define her own happiness so she has to destroy others in order to bolster her massive insecurities.

We really need to get back on topic. This thread has now become about whose attacking who. Now, Venus does us the favor of starting this thread every week, and, while passionate at times, it wnet from talking about one aspect of Y&R into going back and forth.

Please. Let's go back to talking about Y&R.

Just like Abby's paternity was none of Dru's business but that didn't stop her from getting in Ashley's face and basically blackmailing her for a job at Jabot.

She blackmailed Ashley so Liv could be with Brad.

She landed the spokesmodel gig all on her own.

And she recieved a nice bit of karma for that too since it was Ashley who she had to answer to after landin the aforementioned gig.

Okay, I've tried several times to ask you who have been in debate about Phyllis and Dru to tone it down, however, that's not being done..... I am asking again, to keep the debate at a pleasant level without jabs at one another, or I will close the thread and open it the following morning...

^^ I agree. I actually feel for Lily in a way. She did look like a desperate fool, but Daniel is an ass for constantly lying. If he wants to look at porn he should be a man and say so and deal with Lily's feeling on the matter, whatever they may be.

I agree that Amber's hair was funky too. It reminds me of the day Nikki had that ski slope going on. Amber accomplished exactly what she meant to though. She and Cane are now living at the Chancellor estate so that Cane can "protect" Kay and Jill.

The writing for Victoria has basically improved in recent weeks but AH’s “acting” has been so wooden/passive/non-existent recently...

Natlia Livingston on GH might be the queen of overshrewding but at least she adds some life to her scenes - even if it is just unintentional comedic grip. But Heinle looked so bored before and during the baby complications. She should get canned for her lack of commitment - it's her work to act for god's sake!!!

About the Dru-Phyllis board-fistfight...

I may hardly ever agree with 'ATWTCarOn4Ever' but I think he/she made his/her position clear in a mostly neutral-subjetice non-offending way so everybody should cool off a bit... Otherwise it's nice to see that the disagreement-culture is still alive, otherwise this discussion would not have spawned over three pages I just read to it this morning... LOL!

I don't want to start the discussion again but as I already said when the episodes originally aired: Dru had her part on the whole drama, there's no denying of that. Still it was Phyllis who caused this drama, caused the fight on the cliff and therefore still is at least 51 % responsible. Just my opinion.

BTW, Anyone else "loved" how Katherine was AGAIN dumbed down yesterday. My question to Jeanne Cooper, was it really that worse when you had to talk with SlutMac about orgasms? I

Perhaps Amelia knows she's got one foot out the door and the show is trying to lure Heather Tom back into the role if her TV show isn't picked up. Otherwise, she needs to exit stage left.

Y&R used to have the best actors who could pick up the slack on even the worse dialogue, but people like CK and AH make me cringe. I give a better performance convincing my sister that I didn't "borrow" something of hers.

You got that right... and as much as I like Billy Warlock, I can see he won't have too much going on except for that campaign.

Out of all the newbies that has come, the only one that holds my attention is Ji Min....all the rest are just fast-forward material for me.

Ji Min works because he enhances other characters like Jill and Jack. He's not brought on to service a plot like Nia Peebles or Billy Warlock. The other newbie that works for me is Maggie who I think could revive the entire Williams family. Paul and Maggie as a major couple with the return of Heather and 2 or 3 Mary appearances a month wouldn't be difficult to do! Unfortunately I'm in a loony toon fantasy world and that will never happen.

I liked both Davetta and CK as Lily. As for Ji Min I like his character because hes really reached a very important place in terms of how he relates to more vetran actors and characters of the soap. Hes a prominent character now I think and I like the diversity he brings to the show.

Could be. If I were Amelia Heinle (okay then I would ditch Jeffrey Dud firsthand probably LOL!) I'd better not ask for a maternity leave because chances might be very high that a ) the character is written off for good (what's Vickie's purpose these days anyway?) or b ) a woman whose intitials are HT might suddenly return to Genoa City...
