Super Soap Weekend ... My Report!

Yep... SURPRISE. I went! Hey ... I live in Florida! :P

It was such a blast. I can't remember a lot of it (unfortunately I had a pounding headache)... The street jam at the end (7:30PM) was a blast but we cut out about 8:15 ... we were just spent. We saw Rosie hosting it. Jacob Young sang a tune from Beauty and the Beast. Eden Riegel sang a song from Modern Millie. Jason Thompson and Kim McCullough introduced Scott Clifton. He sang two songs. We left after that when Kassie DePaiva started singing.

And I went with my Mommy :P It was my birthday present to her. She's more of an ABC fan than I am, but it was so awesome seeing them in person!

Here's my report (and as I remember things, I'll add it ... I'm sure I forgot a LOT)

Got there about 9:00am ... watched the first motorcade, for GH @ 9:45am ... Jason Thompson, Kimberly McCullough, Laura Wright, Kelly Monaco and a surprise guest ... TRISTAN ROGERS! The fans went NUTS for him. After the motorcade was the interview session. I don't remember much, unfortunately, but lots of questions were about how do you remember doctor lingo, what what was it like for Tristan and Kimberly to return ... how long would Robin and Patrick be together .... who should Carly be with ... Kimberly got called out by Laura and Kelly for painting her dressing room (she got yelled at by TPTB) and she has a stripper pole in her living room ... Kelly is rooting for Emmitt to win Dancing with the Stars ...

Actually, I think before that, I ran around and was able to get a picture of Erika Slezak, I think (or Susan Lucci) and an autograph of Susan Lucci.

Between that was kind of a blur ... LOL. Got some autographs.

At 11:00AM was the OLTL motorcade with David Fumero (got the hugest applause and screams), John-Paul Lavoisier, Kassie DePaiva, Kristen Alderson, Melissa Gallo, Renee Elise Goldsberry (huge screams for her) and Trevor St. John (lots of screams). Then it was the interview session. Kristen discussed growing up on the show (she was actually chewing gum and Kassie made her take it out!) and that they have the highschool story for her. Melissa Gallo was ignored (poor girl ... but she was kinda bitchy ...). Renee got kudos for her Emmy nom, Broadway run. Kassie promoted her new CD ... Lavoisier was teased about his pajamas.

After that we walked around. Again, that was a blur, LOL. Got some autographs, I'm sure...

At 12:15PM we saw the AMC motorcade with Aiden Turner, Alicia Minshew, Cady McClain, Eden Riegel, Michael E. Knight (huge screams -- very popular), and Thorsten Kaye. We didn't stick around for the interview session only because we were STARVED. So we went and got some cheeseburgers.

After that we walked around a bit .... I think we saw where the stars go in and out. Saw Susan Lucci, Erika Slezak, David Fumero and Melissa Gallo right up close (I took pictures).

At 1:30PM was the Erika Slezak motorcade. Not a lot of people showed up for that one :( I felt so bad. Bree Williamson interviewed her. It was really sweet and Slezak talked about Viki's alters, how she's tired of playing the worried mother, etc.

After THAT, we waited around for the SECOND OLTL motorcade @ 2:00PM featuring Forbes March, Kamar de los Reyes, Kathy Brier and Michael Easton (huge applause). We didn't stick around for the interviews only because we wanted to get around and get autographs and pictures.

At 4:00PM was the Susan Lucci motorcade. She was interviewed by Rosie O'Donnell. They discussed her Emmy win and Liza Huber. Didn't stay around for that as I ran around to get Erika Slezak's autograph, Kristen Aldersons and a few others. Had to rush back at 4:30PM for the second AMC motorcade featuring Alexa Havins (she was VERY popular and had a HUGE autograph line), Colin Egglesfield, Jacob Young and Justin Bruening. Didn't stick around for the interview session only because we wanted more photographs and autographs.

We ran around and got quite a few pictures. Kelly Monaco had a HUGE line. I mean HUGE. The biggest there by far (couldn't even get an autograph). We traveled around and found Kimberly McCullough's session and then we came across (pretty much in the middle of nowhere) Bree Williamson's autograph session and then came across Tristan's (not even announced). Got autographs of Bree, Trevor St. John, Cameron Mathison and Greg Vaughan.

At 5:30PM was the final motorcade, and featured GH. Greg Vaughan, Becky Herbst, Julie Marie Berman, and Scott Clifton. Julie talked about being cast as Luke and Laura's daughter ... Greg talked about being a newlywed ... Becky talked about her husband and kids while Scott talked about his music and his character a bit.

At 7:15PM was the grand motorcade. Nearly everyone came around and I got a photograph of Cameron Mathison. Hard to see though.

In between all that we came across Laura Wright's autograph session, Slezak's, Lucci's, Alderson's, Williamsons, Renee Goldsberry, Monaco's, McCullough's, Thorsten (HUGELY popular ... couldn't even get an autograph -- they ran out), Michael E. Knight (HUGELY popular), Eden Riegel's, Justin Bruening's, Colin Egglesfields', Alexa Havins (again very popular), Julie Marie Berman's, Michael Easton's (hugely popular), David Fumero's, Melissa Gallo's (least popular and kinda rude -- sorry), Kassie DePaiva's (very popular -- no autographs left), Kamar De Los Reyes', Kathy Briers (no autograph), Alicia Minshew, Aiden Turner's, and Scott Clifton's.

Took at LEAST 70 photographs.

You know what? I'm glad Alexa Havins was hugely popular - she acts her ass off and is very talented and deserves the credit she gets....even if her character isn't liked that much on SON.

Thanks for sharing your experience...I wish I were there!

I agree about Alexa. Michael Easton, not so much. Poor Erika Slezak :(

Yay for Alexa! Ruining what's left of AMC's class.

As much as I hate Babe, you can't blame the actress (Alexa).

Who knew David Fumero was so popular

Fumero got so much applause it was crazy.

We're going back today! We weren't originally but damn ... it was so much fun. Only until about noon though, to try and get the autographs of those we missed ... admission is NOT cheap (67 bucks a person ... well we as Floridian's got a little discount) but we're gonna get the three day pass, or two day and pay the balance ... hopefully we don't have to pay full admission.

And parking? Omg, it's $10

We had to buy a disposable camera there ... like 17 bucks, I kid you not. The photo album was cheaper! Insane prices but they can get away with it.

We're gonna try to get Cady McClain's, Jacob Young's, Kassie DePaiva's (we got to hers but they had no autographs left) and maybe Tristan Rogers if he's having a session early. Thorsten's and Kelly Monaco's we weren't able to get because they were SO popular, and they aren't until later this afternoon, so ... we'll get what we can.

I wasn't really even looking forward to going yesterday (as I said, I love NBC, but I love ABC too) but I think I had more fun than my mom! It was really exciting.

We're gonna try to get another of Susan Lucci's, only because I got one not realizing I could ask for way more than that! LOL. We got two of everyone. Accidentally got four of Fumero ... lol. And Melissa Gallo's weren't even signed ... again, she wasn't that popular. Kinda bitchy too.

I'm still SO pissed I don't have my digital camera (remember -- I forgot it -- doh). I saw everyone with one and zooming so far into these people ... arg. Next year I guess!

I am really glad you had fun. I loved your report. The only report I saw was just about Renee/David. I have a question. I am a fan of Trevor/Todd. With all the hoopla about him online, how was meeting him?

PLEASE tell me more about my Colin! How did he look? Was he nice to the fans? I just LOVE fan luncheon/super soap weekend/etc stories.

Colin was super nice. He had a video camera and a shirt that read "I Love My Fans". He was actually fairly popular and had a large crowd around him.

Trevor St. John was nice, but quiet. I got his autograph but missed his sessions; only saw him in the motorcade and the interview session.

So for the second day, we got there about 9:30 or so and just hung around different areas. We ran to the autograph session places and got ALL of the photos we missed yesterday (we have all 32 ... or 34 ... stars autographs). We saw Cameron's autograph session (HUGE HUGE HUGE crowd), Erika Slezak's again, John-Paul's again (again, huge crowd), Colin's again, Aiden's again, Eden Riegel's again and Alexa Havins again (Both had bigger crowds today).

For the most part we just ran around to get the autographs we missed yesterday. We actually hung out for a while where the stars come out (near the Star Tours attraction). We saw Thorsten (again), Kelly Monaco (twice), Renee Goldsberry, John Paul (again), Melissa Gallo (again), Susan Lucci (again), Kristen Alderson, David Fumero (again), Erika Slezak (again), Jason Thompson, Cady McClain, Laura Wright, Eden Riegel (again). I was mad because we didn't have a camera at all. I could of gotten amazing up-close photos. Argh. Next year I guess. But gosh ... saw everyone, literally. Some more than others (never did see Bob Guiney, although frankly, I'm glad). Barely saw Jacob Young except in the motorcade and street jams. Never saw Forbes March except for the OLTL motorcade. Same for Tristan Rogers. Didn't see Rosie O'Donnell today either. It was just luck I ran into her yesterday. She was very nice, BTW.

Oh ... the biggest one we saw? Well, I didn't see him but my mom did. It was TONY GEARY. He was still there! He was being escorted into one of the entrances for the stars (they had three entrances/exits). He had a cap on and my mom didn't really recognize him until someone shouted out "we love you Luke" and he waved but was rushed away. I never saw him. I was shocked he was still there.

Oh, and I believe I saw Sherri Saum (if she came with Kamar ... are they still together or no?) by the media for the motorcade interviews. Looked exactly like her if it wasn't. I almost took a picture but didn't because I wasn't sure (she had on glasses).

I've seen Kamar from OLTL.:lol: But I have to say he is a very nice guy. And I was thisclose to getting to see Aiden Turner! :(

Did you see Alicial Minshew at all today? She's popular so I thought she would be there both days.

I went last year and SL, TK and AM got the loudest cheers and Zach/Kendall got the loudest cheers in terms of couple for AMC.

I'm glad you got to meet MEK, he got sick last year so I missed him. Maybe next year I can make it down and he will be there and I can scream my head off.

ETA: Never mind she was there and her line was huge, I just got an update.

During the one motorcade on saturday, did anyone hear Trevor St. John's response to the question, "what was the best practical joke ever played on you" he responded "that Dan Gautier was fired from One Life to Live" with sarcasm. Very gutsy!!!
