Why does she always get shat on from a great height? This has got to be the most unfortunate character in the history of daytime (possibly). Its depressing how they write for her.

Basically because she came between a popular supercouple, Bo and Hope. When Billie was first introduced, it was as part of a love triangle with Bo and Carly. But then Carly left, and then they decided to bring Hope back, which effectively killed any fan sympathy or support for Billie. At that time, she was an obstacle for Bope. Can you imagine what Days would be like if Hope had never returned, or if Gina had turned out to really be Gina and not Hope?

I agree, there is definitely a negative energy surrounding her. Even though she has a mom and brothers on the show, she seems so isolated to me. But with Julie Pinson in the role, I really don't care what happens to her. She's terrible on this show.

Thank GOD the show botched up Lisa's last return. I want her and her bee stung lips FAR, FAR away from DAYS. I don't know what you're watching, because Julie has been really good lately and has made Billie someone to root for.

The first poster nailed why this character has just never been able to catch on the good side of most fans.

When DAYS brought back Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso, Billie almost overnight became hated it seemed. I remember actually liking Billie and Bo together when Carly left Salem...I really liked Rinna and Kelker-Kelly's Bo together.

However when Reckell was brought back, obviously he and Rinna did not have the same chemistry and I had a sneaking suspiscion that Alfonso was not far behind and when she finally did come back, I lost ALL the love I had for Billie and INSTANTLY want Bope back together, and the fact that Bo kept lingering towards Billie just made me hate her, even though Billie was not yet vendictive and a !@#$%^&*] during this time...she did leave town and left Bo to rekindle his relationship with Hope.

Billie then returned to DAYS in a more villainess type role and it was expected for fans to hate her AND WE DID. Some of us will never forget what she did during that time on the show to Bo/Hope and even Pinson's Billie has done several things that are just disgusting and just because Billie has appologised for doing those things does NOT make me dislike her ANY LESS.

DAYS needs to keep this character away from the supercouples, that is IF they want fans to accept her "good guy" type of character, if she keeps messing around with the supercouples those fans will NEVER EVER accept her or like her or look at her as a positive/good guy type character.

Billie has always been played by talented actresses however, Rinna/Allen and now Pinson have all brought something very special (acting wise) to this character.

Alfonso was back first because of all those stories about her hating Kelker-Kelly, don't know HOW I could forget that.

As for RKK and LR, yes they did have GREAT chemistry, but I would NEVER put it on the same level as KA & PR, not for a minute.

She does get shat on, but IMO, alot of that has been well deserved and brought on by herself. I mean she has done so many horrible things to Bo and Hope that she doesn't exactly deserve the benefit of the doubt. To me, she has not yet proven that she is outta that "villainess" streak. Her recent confession is a step in the right direction, but it took Hope nearly divorcing Bo and at the last minute for her to finally cave and if you look at the past, confessions from this character have often not lead to a change of heart for this character.

IMO this recent confession was a step in the right direction for this character, but I need more than that to be able to forgive her for everything she has done and view her as anything other than a scheming, lying, manipulative !@#$%^&*].

Yes, but I would love to see this character finally evolve into a character that I can at least have a bit of respect for.

I agree. She's front and center in my blog. I *LOVE* writing for her. I don't get why a JER, Morrina, B&C couldn't do excellent things with her.
