I love the way Laura Wright plays Carly. After the whole breakdown thing, I don't care to see a weak or vulnerable Carly anytime soon. SHe did enough groveling during that time to last me a lifetime.

Exactly. The Carly character is not weak or vulnerable, and I don't think anybody wants the character to be. She does have her soft side, but all Laura Wright does is stomp around with that look of entitlement on her face, and goes from 0 to 90 on the Mega Shrew!@#$%^&*] scale in 0.01 seconds and stays there throughout the entire scene. Teeth baring, shaking the hell out of that peroxide hair.

She is by far, along with her Corleone-knock-off husband, the WORST character in daytime. Carly is like a carton of off milk, that lost its freshness when Sarah brown vacated (and weren't we all just drowning our cereal with it back then?!) and now stinks up the entire store. I can't stand Laura Wright's technique... somebody needs to tell her to stop showing off to the cameras and try a little subtlety or god forbid, some nuance. Watching Laura Wright chew the scenery like a bull in a china shop makes me miss Sarah even more, back then, Sarah just needed to give ONE LOOK, a flash of pain, and the whole [!@#$%^&*] china shop would crash around her! Thank god there is a certain actor on GH currently who shares Sarah's genius for acting - Robin Christopher, we miss you!

She's one of the reasons I stopped watching GH. LW's portrayal of the character is just all wrong. I'm sorry if that offends people, but it's my opinion...and I know I'm not the only person who feels the same way. I'm sure that the awful writing has something to do with it, but just everything she does--her voice, her mannerisms, her awful overacting, her facial expressions--is aggravating.

And it's not as if the storylines are any better. Carly can do no wrong in most people's eyes, which makes me hate her even more. Jax and Carly steal another man's baby, and what do we see? Carly crying about how she misses the baby...as if we're supposed to feel sorry for her. Or how all the men in Port Charles, including her own cousin , fantasize about her. Yeah right... She's not that desirable.

Laura Wrights sense of entitlement to the role turns me off completely.

I totally agree with this.

-All she does is Shrill, scream, holler and annoy. YELLING isn't good acting.

-I didn't like Jennifer Bransford in the role but I did love how physical her Carly was, kicking the [!@#$%^&*] out of every female. I loved her rivalry with Reese.

I love Laura Wright as Carly. I also think Carly's one of my faves. Laura Wright's Carly IMHO is a lot like Sarah Brown's, just an older version of her. Brown and Wright are the 2 best Carly's, and that's coming from someone who loved Tamara Brand and defended her to a lot of Bruan haters. I love Carly and Jax together.
