Using a tool, using it well, is that not impressive? I shared your list, with credit & someone has already made an addition. Billy Cooper adds: Twins Michael and Marianne Randolph. Marianne was named after her grandma Mary Matthews. Michael was named after Mike Bauer ( A Cross-Over character from GUIDING LIGHT's Springfield ).

Are you talking about Irna Phillips?! You know she was working on her autobiography when she died? I look at the acclaim her two proteges received & I am amazed. I think Irna had one street named after her & that was it. There is one book, about women in the industry where she has a chapter. There is possibly more written about her eccentricities than her genius. Correction: The book I referred to is about industry greats & she is the only woman.

I know you've all seen this but I just did a new edit. One of my favorite moments. I call it the "Dusty Who?" moment. Before, Dusty is Lily's boyfriend, Holden jumps down out of the barn loft. Nothing is ever the same again. https://rumble.com/v57vpyl-atwt-the-dusty-who-moment.html

Now, see, I thought that "The Secret Garden" was always part of the plan. From the beginning we had Jordan Stark who was also David Halliday (Halliday?). Stark was ancient & facially disfigured & he was wealthy, omnipotent, a businessman but with a whoo-whoo element to the Lumina corporation & he had designs on both Rachel and on Amanda. Have I got it wrong? I think that it was Laiman & Passanante through that whole thing.

And then ... Lumina! ACK. I talked to Jean Passanante about it. She said Leah & I wrote that. I said, yes, they did. Then she said ... It was weird. If I'd been holding anything I'd have dropped it! God, yes, it was weird! But, years later, for her to say that it was. Whoa. Makes you wonder who wanted it written! It only had one thing to commend itself, a masked ball with magnificent costumes!!!

Yes, good point. He also was a Dept. Head at Cory! It was supposedly some segment of the fans that wanted Rachel & Carl to have a child. Victoria thought it was ridiculous, at Rachel's age, etc. I agreed. I didn't know any fans who thought they should be getting pregnant & having children. Then, Jake & Vicky, that was a big problem for me. I thought Jake belonged with Paulina. I thought Jake & Vicky were destined to be besties, no romance! To me Ryan was perfection for Vicky. Unfortunately JFP killed that chance, literally. And, a good EP would not have done so. When Paul Michael Valley quit it was because he was angry that Jill had just fired his real life girlfriend Christine Tucci. A good EP would have realized that PMV would cool off in a day or two & want his job back which a good EP would've found a way to work that out. Not to be.

You may consider this nitpick. You've got the order backwards. First he was racecar driver with PTSD & Ryan's corneas named Bobby Reno. Then later when Michael Malone was HW (which was only for 6 months) he somehow was discovered to be Shane Roberts. I suppose if either Bobby or Shane had been what I consider to be successes as characters, then I might not feel as strongly as I do that if they were bringing RKK back to Bay City then it should have been as a returning Sam Fowler! At the time I was quite annoyed because I was under the impression that RKK had said he would return, yes, but not as Sam. Reading articles now I'm not at all sure that was the case. Anyway, Sam was Mitch's brother, Amanda's lover & husband, Ally's father.

Wikipedia is rife with errors & the dickens to correct. Their editing process is cumbersome to say the least. One thing is that the timing is right. If they wanted to fire him, they had to wait a certain amount of time so as not to get in big trouble with the WGA. Well, lo & behold, the timing is a-okay. So, that is one 'maybe so' factor.

I had a cat once who would come sit by the keyboard & first just look into my face. When that didn't work, she'd slap my hands!!! If I still did not respond she'd walk ONTO the keyboard & sit. Hilarious!!- RIP: Esta TerBlanche has passed
I hear McT tales & just marvel at the consistency. At the time I didn't necessarily know who was who because I was new to AMC. Somehow I missed out on knowing some people doubted her accent. I'm just as glad as can be about that since she certainly sounded authentic to me. I think I fit with a particular subset of AMC fans. I only liked Gillian with Ryan. I only liked Ryan with Gillian. Fortunately I loved them together so it worked perfectly. This weekend I am just knocked over at our losing her so young. I can't get past it.- Man's best friends - Pets

Literally the only Ryan Lavery pairing I liked & I LOVED Gillian with Ryan! Too damn young!!! https://www.hollywoodlanews.com/esta-terblanche-dead/#google_vignette- Another World Discussion Thread
OUCH!! lol, what an excellent point & so ironic. The Internet says he played Bobby Reno who was found to be Shane Roberts from 1996 to 1998. Eddie's page says Aug. 9, 1996 to Feb. 17, 1998 so more like 18 months rather than 2 years. I really don't think changing his character midway was as much on Jill not doing due diligence upfront as it was Michael Malone trying to use his Bourbon Street characters & backstory. After all, supposedly every individual idea he said he wanted to write was shot down!- DAYS: Head Writer Ron Carlivati Departing Peacock Soap After Seven Years
In my soap opera group on FB there are a half dozen people who claim to like both Ron & Leo. Right now all of their posts begin, "I know I'm in the minority but ..." I've been very pleased that everyone else has been very respectful of their shall we say aberrant viewpoint?!! No one has yet to say, "Are you effin crazy?" I'm running a poll, What Should Ron Carlivati Do Now? Write his memoir is winning so far.- DAYS: Head Writer Ron Carlivati Departing Peacock Soap After Seven Years

Well, I'm partial to James, so he wins the day for me but I cannot understand how anyone could miss that great scene between Joss & Trina at the pool & Trina actually talking about the turtledoves, her anger, her grief, her frustration with herself. Plus, second place after James absolutely goes to Jarly!!! 2 great Jarly days in a row. - Man's best friends - Pets
