  1. I think the thing about not naming names is odd. Of course it might not be Corday. It might be someone else & Corday is the only EP we know of that went on a tear about the soap press. Jill Farren Phelps said at one point that there was a name she could name in regard to the Murder of Frankie Frame but that she simply was not going to name names. I concluded she was thinking of the HW, Margaret De Priest. A month later I saw Jill on the Locher Room saying, "It was the writer! It wasn't me!" So much for the assumed nobility of not naming names. Perhaps Connie is more noble.
  2. Yes, I did say that & I've been there today. The episode numbers were on the IMDb as the 5 episodes that Ruth Buzzi played Letitia Bradford. Obviously, they are not useful. Thank you so much!!
  3. I can really get into those exists! It's so existential. (Don't mind me. I just adore autocorrects.)
  4. It was Ken who was furious with WEEKLY for offering genuine critique. If I recall correctly, he shut them out, wouldn't give them access to actors or writers or producers, to no one!!! Then, he became even more furious when they continued to cover the show like all the other shows that were giving them access.
  5. Me, I loved him with Chloe & I also loved Chloe! I never understood why they couldn't or wouldn't write for her!!
  6. https://deadline.com/gallery/remembering-bob-newhart-a-career-in-photos/george-and-leo-bob-newhart-judd-hirsch-1997-98-paramount-television-courtesy-everett-collec/
  7. @JAS0N47 Episode #1.4576, 1.4574, 1.4573, 1.4572 or 1.4565. Classic DAYS, a full episode. Gene is missing & people try to find out something from his cousin Letitia Bradford, played by Ruth Buzzi. Anna is accused of murder. Doug, Bo, Danny Grant, Chris, Roman, Tony, Hope, Anna, Anna's brother, Gwen Davies, Romulus the full-grown lion. Anna's brother, a blonde man tells Tony he can't stand to cover for a murderess. https://rumble.com/v57hn3t-days-1983-anna-is-accused-of-murder.html
  8. Oh, no, no, no, no
  9. I think it looks like that because that is what it actually is. We have to give Martsoff some story, what can we give him?
  10. YouTube does not require that the entity making the challenge have standing. Literally anyone can challenge for copyright. Of course, Corday & Sony could & that's not an issue. But JoeBlow from Peoria can challenge & YouTube shuts your whole acct down, not even just DAYS, ALL, everything. There are people who get a kick out of making challenges on YouTube. I have not changed my settings so the earlier thing was a fluke. I'm sorry you had that inconvenience.
  11. Of course you're right, but I am quite sure that the way it was phrased was that it was NBC applying the pressure. Given how muddy the waters could be between NBC and their shows' production companies, I guess that is just the kind of thing that went on. I think it adds an interesting wrinkle to the speculation that killing Frankie was at least in part to pay the high price of RKK.
  12. Dying of curiosity here, is there a some videocaptures to check it out? I think you misunderstand. The link is this clip. Rumble is a very serious competitor to YouTube. I will never have another YouTube channel. They closed me down twice in one calendar year. The 1st time was some unknown entity, not DAYS, not Corday, not Sony, challenging for copyright on DAYS clips. The 2nd time they said was for "spam, scams & DECEPTIVE posting practices." Which makes absolutely zero sense when all clips were just that, clips from Soap Operas!!! I am now in the process of creating a Rumble channel. They are said not to be as ridiculous as YouTube is. So far, so good.
  13. Yes, I think it is a strange question. I say that because I don't know when the practice of firing someone to get money to hire someone else, began. Was it always the case? Or is it a peculiarly modern thing? I do not know. This reminds me of a question I have meant to raise here. What do y'all think about the idea that Jill was forced by NBC to take Robert Kelker-Kelly? He said that was the case in at least one interview. The situation as explained was that his contract status with DAYS was "pay or play" & they fired him strictly at the personal behest of Kristian Alfonso & for at least part of a year, they were paying him & he wasn't acting on DAYS. So, they didn't like that, of course, so, they came up with this great idea, have him go to work at AW. I can post the interviews and articles. My question is why the heck did he have that contract status?!!!
  14. I don't ever recall hearing or reading anything at all about Austin's death being resolved. I am aware of statements about Pikeman being overarching or umbrella-ish. I wonder how much of what was planned made it to screen.
  15. Natch. I was a huge fan of CarJack! Carly Tenney Snyder was a force to be reckoned with, as the saying goes. But, Ava! To me, Ava is the role Maura was born to play. In Oakdale, I could see Maura there lurking in the shadows. But, with Ava, it is seamless. I cannot see Maura pulling the puppet strings. I am completely & wholly in thrall that Ava Jerome is a real person!!! As far as I am concerned, good writing or poor, this is drama at its finest.
  16. @JAS0N47 This is John and Romulus where Diana is trying to convince John he's been her partner as an international jewel thief. Of course it is all a lie. https://rumble.com/v53bnl8-days-of-our-lives-john-black-and-romulus.html I have Bo & Roman on the pier & they flashback to Roman dying on the beach. It is sometime in 1991 and the flashback is 1984. (Cliff 11-24-84; Beach 11-26-84)
  17. Of course, I said this and then I thought. I have one of the injokes. In Dec. 1991, on DAYS, Chip says to Julie that he once met the guy who sang 'The Ballad of Davy Crockett" and Julie replies that she dated him. Of course, it was Bill Hayes who recorded that song.
  18. Me, I was pleased with the climax of Pikeman. Stakes were definitely present. The acting was excellent, Anna, Jason, Valentin, ... There was considerable edge of your seat moments. We got closure on why it was thought by Cates that Anna was Pikeman Head. (Because Valentin set her up as a red herring.) Seeing Jason, so excited & so close to the end of his quest, was rewarding. Anna's reflection on what she'd done to Robin in the past & would not now do to Robin, Emma & Noah. I mean, I am glad that we have done this thing & I believe it afforded a good midpoint to July sweeps. We're free
  19. @JAS0N47 I've got another one wondering when it was. The original person thought it was some time in 1981. Marlena, radio call-in show. Someone calls in & wants to be stopped before he does it again. Don Craig, trying to get a trace. Joshua Fallon checks on Doc in her apartment. Julie, a different Hope & Doug. Dr. Stuart Whyland goes over Doc's resume with her. https://rumble.com/v57fm1x-days-marlena-call-in-radio-show.html (I have at least two more of these.) Definitely in 1981 Joshua Fallon 1980-1981 and Stuart Whyland 1981-1982. 1981 is the common year.
  20. I believe now he is very involved in classical music. If I recall correctly, he is a cellist. Correcting myself. Stand-up bass, not cello. Yes, she was a close friend of Reilly. Someone else who considered him a close personal friend was Kay Alden. I remember well that when he died, Marlena took many people to task for not having respect for the dead, at least for the moment.
  21. Oh, he's still around, a long-time online friend! I see him on occasion. He's on Facebook, not sure where else.
