My dear friend, I suspect this is a thinly veiled jab at parody. Parody, while not as elevated as farce, is still a well-respected literary & dramatic device. DAYS today, with its horrible lighting, ridiculous sets, clothing from the wrong season, Isn't good enough to call it parody. SOAP, ALL THAT GLITTERS, Mary Hartman, repeat, Hail to the Chief, Grand, these are all parodies, by intent and oh so funny. DAYS is not that. Excuse my rant. And, also when you compare RC & JER, they do not compare. JER made his mistakes, sure, but he was inventive & imaginative. Ron if anything is derivative. Just look at Demonic Possession 1.0 compared to 2.0. There IS no comparison. Ron did not get it.

How does that work? The rest of the team is nominated despite the fact that the HW was a part of the submitted script? They also can't ever serve on a committee & I have the impression that serving on a committee is something many people do.

Oh, yes, Jason's footbridge, once called Robin's bridge, once referred to as the bridge Sonny went off of & died (yeah right), most recently the bridge Jason went over & off to escape & as of now, from yesterday when Jason & Carly walked to it & drank beer & talked, now the Jarly bridge, of course! Second day on the bridge, Jason & Carly ended up sitting down & talking & drinking beer. Jason reached over & took Carly's hand & played with her fingers. He said she did not owe him a debt, never, not between them. He said he would do it all again. Unfortunately he also said that next week he's going to completely fill Sonny in on everything about Cates & the FBI & try to make him see that he has to let Jason back in because he's in trouble & they need to figure things out together. Edit to Add: I have been corrected, even schooled. This is NOT Sonny's bridge. His bridge is in New Jersey. I do not know how but I honestly never knew this. Jason has had a lot to say these past 2 days. Some of us are hoping he just means back into the friendship & not back into the mob. Now, I hope I haven't said too much. 2 days.

Well, several actors were behind his firing. Tony Geary would not say his name. Instead he referred to him as "the writer". For GH's Big 60 anniversary, Ron made a post where it was clear GH is the show he is passionate about, also that he's never quite gotten over being fired from there. I'm sure someone will find that post.

Honestly, I stopped caring about who offed Austin & it seems long ago & far away.

I only know about one thing & that was the first iteration of her mother/daughter trope. There was a beautician, character name unknown that sounds like Ada, like Mona, and she was much put upon by her raven-haired daughter, something of a self-centered ambitious woman. character name also unknown, that sounds like Rachel, like Erica. Knowing that much seriously whets my curiosity to know more.

The corporate ownership of DIGEST & WEEKLY just got worse & worse & went down & down. Also publishing across the board got into more & more trouble because of problems with fulfillment houses, cost of paper, cost of postage, etc. I also thought it was less than useful for them to be owned by the same corporate entity & to have an overall editor over both.

Agnes Nixon was apparently the last person hired to HW the show. None of her material made it to air because the show was canceled before it would've been broadcast.
