Why am I watching a documentary called Man-Eating Python when I am afraid of snakes?

OMGGGGGG!!! That was great. I never knew I wanted to see country Kylie lmao. Some really cool 'diva' outfits too and some nicely shot moments.

That didn't happen until March 1986. That was either a really bold-faced lie (likely), or he failed miserably!

I just heard about Ross' story. I'm... not quite sure what to say.

I've said this before and I'll say it again -- JER got away with the most audacious storyline he could possibly come up with AND he got higher ratings for it! After that, I'm sure he knew he could get away with basically anything, evidenced by DAYS, PASSIONS, and then DAYS again. What was there to stop him? I think Bell's influence on his work was clear and he retained a lot of what seemed to make Y&R successful, which also happened to be classic soap traits. He knew how to build tension and hold interest and I do think he was pretty good at plotting. I also don't agree he didn't have any heart (there have been plenty of moments in my viewing so far but I suppose they get overshadowed by the flashy stuff) but I do think he lost a lot of it overtime.

I adore Leanna in her room, always reading letters and working, and found the uniqueness, inventiveness, and often hilariousness of her scenes, to be true standouts, with a great actress at the center of it. It feels like something only Y&R could pull -who else would dare do something like this?

Good luck with the work/life situation! Glad you like it. I think it's very, very charming, and it sticks to you. I still miss disco/club Kylie, though, so I hope it hasn't been completely removed from the album. I, too, wonder if the album will be released in the US. Barnes & Noble should have it anyway and I'm sure Amazon can deliver it. With it being a little more country, maybe it will. I can't wait for it!

The reboot has been rebooted! Initially envisioned as a prequel set in 1976 (a terrible idea, IMO), now it's a re-do! The storyline screams out 'feminism!' 'feminism'! And then Holly Marie Combs comes out dissing the new show and throwing shade. Disaster, but hilarious!

It doesn't seem like it. He announced before the first single dropped than 4 songs and videos would be released building up to the album release date. Might as well, cos I'm having difficulty imagining this album not flopping.

It's MONDAY, JANUARY 22, 2018.... Have a great week, lovelies!

I'd never seen past Jack's coming out episode ("To Be or Not To Be") so I slowly worked my way through rewatching Seasons 1 and 2 and now I'm finally on new episodes (with the occasional seen episode from the latter seasons). The show has its... peculiarities, but Jack's coming out made me cry years ago and it made me cry again. Wonderfully handled, complex human reactions from the cast, and Pacey's involvement and protecting Jack always makes me an emotional mess. Andie and Jack, of course, are marvelous and a fantastic addition to the cast. I cannot understand how the show existed without them. With Jack's coming out, the character chemistry took off with the rest. It is magical to see. And I can't believe they killed Abby! What a shocker that was.

FIRST SINGLE "DANCING" OUT FRIDAY!! If that's backstage from the album cover, it looks fabulous! and here's the track list! I am sooooo excited!!!

EPISODE 12: WHAT A SWELL PARTY THIS IS If you told me a few weeks ago there’d be an episode mostly focused on Michael and Linda's story and that I’d like it, I would have never believed you. But what a swell ride this was. Michael's birthday is the catalyst for most of the events in the episode. While Karen and Mack are busy planning and then unplanning a party, Michael focuses on helping his newest shouldn’t-have-feelings-for-her girl find an apartment. What a lovely surprise when Eric returns. The scene in which he apologizes to Michael for scamming him out of a baseball card when they were young is touching and heartbreaking, both in its irony and because you can totally see this happening between the two of them back then. I can’t believe we’ve watched these two kids grow up all these years. When Eric tells Michael that he thought growing up would be easier, it carries so much weight. Tom kisses Paige until she agrees to play hooky with him. They try to find things in common they’d like to do but end up back in bed. Greg spotting them outside and telling Paige he’s glad she’s feeling better is hilarious. Speaking of Greg, he brings Paula to the ranch hoping to have sex with her but Paula, astute as she is, can tell she’s nothing more than a diversion and refuses to give it up unless Greg burns with passion for her. I did very much like her in this scene. The Harold/Olivia situation is kind of comically tragic. They argue over money again, then they argue over arguing in general, and then they fight about how they fight. Looking back at how they met, got married, as well as their ages (particularly Olivia's), it’s no surprise that things are imploding so spectacularly. Still, that final scene where Olivia throws her ring into the glass of water and leaves the house resonates a lot. I don’t know what it is, but I could see so much of Abby in Olivia here. Following a brief visit from Val (where she says she won’t let another one of Gary's demented lovers ruin her life – and she’s got a point), we get a lot of funny moments during Michael's party. Although Mort bringing a blow-up doll to a party full of his colleagues is too close to sitcom humor, one can’t deny Karen catching Mack trying to deflate it was very amusing. I loved all the little bits of Karen and Mack deciding to mingle with their son’s friends and then realizing they’d rather by upstairs eating chocolate cake in bed. Underneath all the shenanigans, the Michael/Eric/Linda situation is finally boiling over and it all comes to a head when Linda runs off in tears. Karen later finds her crying downstairs and thinks she’s about to comfort her but instead gets shocked into a freezeframe when she is told Michael is who Linda wants to be with!

FINALLY!!! Kylie returns this month with single "Dancing" and a new album titled "Golden" later this year! YAAAAAS. Bless us, Kylie!
