I hope we get to see more of Carl and Michonne even if they refuse to hook Rick and Michonne up. Wait, the poor guy has kids.

That poor guy being eaten alive and unable to scream. Damn He is eating his way through that guy who is now turned. Awww, Glenn and Maggie are so cute. I like that Rick is trying to keep Carl away from the killing. Carl is growing up.

I am watching. I really think that it is the little girl feeding the walkers with the rats. Awww, Tyreese is so in love. It is bound to go wrong soon. Oh no, watch out Karen. I can't look.

The Walking Dead: Discussion Thread
Besides, some fans always say, "if they kill so and so, I won't watch again." I saw lots of Shane fans say that on TWOP. They might have stopped watching, but TWD's ratings are stronger than than ever. TWD needs to do what makes it different from other shows (and soap operas). Be fearless, tell the fans to go screw themselves and kill off whoever they feel should be next. The only death that I think felt off was Andrea's. Despite the rationalize given, I cannot help wondering if something happened behind the scenes.

The Walking Dead: Discussion Thread
After Andrea's death on the show, I have come to the conclusion that other than Rick and Carl that it is hard to predict who is likely to live or die among the main cast. The show has gotten so popular that it will be hard for Kirkman and Gimple to make those decisions about who to kill so we will see.

The Walking Dead: Discussion Thread
I just finished a marathon of seasons 1 and 2 on DVD. It had been a long time since I had watched them and I had forgotten a lot. The show is outstanding when you don't have commercials or week breaks. No wonder it is gaining so many fans who watch live. Second time around I liked Dale and Lori a lot more, especially Dale. I feel for Lori who was clearly sacrificed on the altar of conflict of Rick and Shane. Sophia's disappearance and then death along with Jenner at the CDC were tragic stories. It is fascinating watching the group become aware of Shane's sociopathy even as Andrea remained oblivious. She really has no self-preservation instinct. Also, watching all Carl went through it is not surprising that he would into a sociopath too. Daryl has really changed from a racist cracker into a loving caring man. For allt he complaints about the farm, I thought it was a great with lots of human and walker drama. The inconsistency with the zombies is clear from these early episodes. We see people starved to death or killed without head injury. Some walkers are agile, fast, and can hold rocks and hit them against glass. LOL! The walkers eating people is so disgusting. I am glad that we haven't see to much of that of late. But really, the walkers should be emaciated, unable to move, and near death by now. Hersher: I can't profess to understand God's plan, Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Unless Andrew Lincoln gets into a contract dispute or decides to leave, no way that ever happens. Rick and Carl will out live everyone.

The Politics Thread
Ha, I raise you the Florida Republicans led by the grotesque corrupt governor Rick Scott who tried to pull a Jeb Bush and commit election fraud to steal the election for Romney and is now sabotaging the ACA by every means possible including preventing the navigators from working at the state community health departments. I understand how they justify their racism and hatred of people of color, the poor, and the sick, but it never ceases to amaze me that these people consider themselves, Christians.

I just re-watched the season 4 trailer. After watching the premeire, my interpretation of the scenes from the trailer is different. Needless to say things are about to get very difficult our group.

I doubt it is a plague with a cure. The bleeding eyes of Patrick and the walker Rick was looking at suggests a form of hemorrhagic fever, maybe ebola. Originally, i had not made the connection to the pig dying, but these viruses are contracted from animals. It could be the pig but I would think that the rats are more likely the vector. Regardless, there is no cure or definite treatment. It will make its way through the group. I would think that the elderly, children and those with compromised immune systems will the first to become infected and die. They need to be careful about their sanitation and the animals that they consume.

Well, the football game was adjusted up 8.4 so it beat TWD, but damn TWD did outstanding. I actually find Carol's growth slightly unbelievable. A battered woman who loses her child is exactly the type of person I would think would crumble under these circumstances. However, I like how far she has come.

Yeah, Gimple pointed that out on TD. They did everything right in clearing that store and still the walkers came unexpectedly came through the roof. Danger is ever present in their lives. It is a lesson to us fans who always say about our survivors, "they should have... If I was there, I woud have..." The truth is that when society breaks down, when there is no government or hot showers or regular access to food and danger lurks at every corner, most of us would be hapless and desperate. Only sociopaths like Shane and Phillip can prosper in those circumstances.

There was no time to shoot Zak. The walkers were on top of them. They had to get out or die. It is one of the many horrible choices that people have to make in the Zombie-Apocalypse. I think Rick left the woman to die which was ridiculous, but Rick is barely holding it together.

I have been thinking about poor Zak being eaten alive. It brought back of poor TDog and Otis. I wish that they could have shot and killed Zak before they left. Horrible way to die.

I think TWD would have been much stronger on HBO also. The cinematograpy and set quality would have been much better. Of course, fewer people would be watching because the subscription price. I don't buy that HBO passed on TWD because of the violence as much as the zombie/fantasy was likely too much for them. I will never forget that HBO exec dissing GOT in the NY Times, saying in effect that they did not want to known as the sci fantasy network. Clearly, HBO is not a fan of shows like True Blood and GOT. It wants be known for its serious dramas like when it had the Sopranos, The Wire, and Six Feet Under.

Holy Sh!t! Those ratings are kickass. 8.2 in the key demo is record breaking and makes TWD the highest rated show, it is higher than football and it was up against one of most popular NFL pairings, Cowboys/Washington. Blows me away. Crazy! Gimple said on TD that he was not going there with Daryl/Beth.

I like Rick, Carl, Michonne as a family also. Not only were they happy to see other other and smiling, when she said she would not be staying long, Carl looked genuinely upset. I don't think for a second that the writers will go there, but Rick and Michonne would be a strong couple and with Carl would solidify the group's core. Exactly. We lose two to three long term characters by the end of almost each season. If there were no new characters to take on the role of Red Shirts, we would lose the main cast at a much faster rate, maybe half by mid-season. In any case, I am thrilled to see more diversity among the group. They are a stone's throw away from Atlanta which a black population just over 50%. Where are all the black survivors and walkers?

It just occurred to me, Could the little girl who named the walkers be the one feeding them the rats? After all, she said that they were human, but different. She might be feeding them because she feels bad for the walkers, not realizing that she is weakening the outside fences and endangering them all.

Yeah, big mistake having Gimple with a new celeb guest. Yvette's lively personality and devoted fandom would have worked better. Interview with Andrew! Love it. I think that woman's craziness was so that Rick could see how close he was to becoming her (and Morgan) and Hershel reassuring him that he would come back to his sanity no matter what.
