HBO: Game of Thrones
I forgot to mention that I liked how casually Dany ordered Ser Barristan to kill the foul mouth commander first if it came to fight.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I thought all the commanders were pretty hot. I would take any of the three. The commander with the long dark hair played Ferdy on the British series, This Life with Andrew Lincoln and that guy from Smash. He was on Esatenders most recently and is sexy as hell.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I thought that was a much better episode. The wedding was hilarious, cruel, and scary all at once. I have run out of words to describe Joffery. Taking away Tyrion's stool was funny and mean, but how he casually threatened to rape Sansa was horrific. Sansa kneeling unlike in the books works for series. As awful as her life is, she could do much worse than Tyrion, there was no need to have her be unnecessarily cruel to him when his family is already that way. Tyrion is a sad, but hilarious drunk. He remains kind even when [!@#$%^&*] faced. Cersei, that woman... Margaery needs to watch her back with her always. Poor Loras. I am glad that Gendry survived. Davos is right that Stannis went to him because he knew that he would be his conscience. I am glad that Davos is free. Poor Arya. She looked so happy at the thought of reuniting with Robb and her mother. If she only knew... Yay, for Samwell, the hero! I don't know why he did not take the obsidian blade with him though. Daario is pretty hot. Dany will be hitting that for sure. It has been a long time since Drogo.

Sorry about that, I had forgotten that we are on the third season, not the second.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I think that the showrunners do mostly good work including the adaptation of the books. However, this sophomore season has been mediocre at best. If the show is going to be mostly political intrigue, the dialogue has got to be more compelling. Also, I still have not gotten over how they omitted that key Tyrion/Sansa/Shae scene which could have made the episode. What were they thinking there? I just think that the showrunners need help. A couple strong writers to bring a fresh set eyes to the material would be a good move. I just remembered that Aaron Sorkin fired his writing team at the end of Newsroom's last season. Surely, HBO can hire a couple of them. I liked the Blackwater episode that Martin wrote last season, but this last one was not good.

HBO: Game of Thrones
There are a lot of poorly written shows on tv, but Game of Thrones is such an expansive saga that it deserves better dialogue (and plotting). It is time for HBO to take a long hard look at that writing team. It should pay big money to snag a couple of the writers from Justified or Archer. IMO, both shows have some of the best writers on tv right now.

I have nothing against torture scenes, but even I have found the Theon torture scenes neverending and repetitive. Most of all, the Theon story is taking away from more interesting plots. I had so been looking forward to Shae and Sansa's reactions when Tyrion told them about the impending marriage, only to be crushed when we never got it. I think this season has not been very strong due to poor plotting and weak dialogue.

That is a surprise. He is much older than her.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Ain't that the truth. The minute they turned her into Bitch Bangs to write the character, I was rooting for her to rule the world. She was the best! Loved Bitchy Bands!

I just saw the promo for Bitchy Bang's new comedy. It stars Andre Braugher. Good luck to Melissa.

For once, I agreed with Joffery. He is right to be concerned about Daenerys and her dragons.

HBO: Game of Thrones
HBO could do it? With what money? Each episode already costs an estimated $6 million. If every character and scene in the books is put in the tv series, the budget would quadruple at minimum. Almost what 50 or more actors on contract for 20 episodes for about 10 seasons minimum to cover all the books is what you are seriously proposing, plus the ones that Martin is yet to write to conclude the series. To think this is feasible is not an opinion it is pure fantasy.

HBO: Game of Thrones
Exactly what network in the real world can afford the series that you are proposing here? You are either going to have to accept that the show is constrained by a budget and the reality of adapting a book series for tv or stop watching if you are so insulted by that reality.

Christopher Cousins (Cain, OLTL) was briefly on Chicago Fire last night, but I suspect that he will be seen in the next episode also. I am always amazed at how much steady work he has gotten since leaving OLTL.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I agree. It is more than time for Jamie to reunite with his family at King's Landing. I am actually excited to see how Cersei deals with this new disabled and bitter Jamie and his new found friendship with Brienne.

HBO: Game of Thrones
ITA. The books are dense with too many characters. TPTB have to adapt them in a way that keeps the tv audience entertained or there will not be many more seasons ahead. On the show, there are simply too many characters and storylines as things stand. It makes it hard to keep track of the plots and important characters/stories get omitted out of some episodes which make the plots move at a snail's pace. The show should focus on the intrigue at King's Landing, the Starks, Jamie/Brienne, and Dany and cut down on everything else including Stannis. Theon's torture should be eliminated completely.

Brittany Allen was barely recognizable and was uninteresting as usual on Defiance.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I did not like this episode that much, but it was okay. Charles Dance and Diane Riggs had the most entertaining scene, followed by the Jamie, Brienne, and Bolton's meal. The CGI of Jon and Ygritte climbing the wall was outstanding. The snow, ice, and the depth of the wall came off very real. I felt for poor Ros which brings me to my biggest problem with the episode. Joffery killing Ros and getting the blame for ordering Tyrion's murder during the battle like he did for the murder of Robert's children. They trying to hard to demonize Joffery, while whitewashing Cersei's evil. She is hated for real reasons.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I really enjoyed the end of the episode. Poor Tyrion. He was not pleased at having to marry Sansa, but she is lucky. He will treat her well. I had a good laugh at Cersei's dismay when her father told her to marry Loras. She may have gotten one over on Tyrion, but her father smacked her down hard also. His disdain for both of them was clear. He pushed Jamie around too so they are in good company. What a horror being his child. He is a cold bastard. Tywinn sees them as extensions of himself and their first duty is to him and their family. They do not even dare disobey him. Ah, Robb. I see the parallels between him and Joffery. Both were rightly advised not to execute their enemies, but they did so anyway and disaster followed. I was not impressed by Jamie's confession, but his relationship with Brienne is very compelling. So Jon finally got his cherry popped. Good for him. The princess and the guy (I cannot remember his name) locked up were sweet together. I am tired of the Brotherhood already.

Good to see some effort to address diversity and another Wire alum on TWD. Now I am hoping Idris (Stringer) and Michael (Omar) make appearances.

Defiance is such a boring sci fi show. She will fit right in.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I agree about Tyrion. He is clever and a survivor, but he is out of depth with the cruelty and ruthlessness of his family as well as the rivals at King's Landing. He would be better off with Robb or Jon, although I think that his best situation would be with Dany.

HBO: Game of Thrones
Great episode although my cable cut out for bits of it. I loved Dany revealing that she speaks Valyrian, having the Unsullied take out the slavers, and having her dragon burn that guy who was insulting her. It was predictable, but I loved it anyway. Varys and Tyrion are always so good together. Tyrion's horrific expression when he saw the wizard captured in the box was classic. Yep, Varys knows how do revenge. Then, we have Varys scheming with the Tyrells to outmaneuver Littlefinger. Sansa looked so happy at the thought of marrying Loras and getting away from King's Landing. I liked Arya reminding the Hound about killing poor Micah. It was so long ago, but like Varys, she has a long memory. I actually felt a twinge of sympathy for both Theon and Jamie. Theon finally realizes that Ned was his real father and that his bad choices cost him his family. Jamie giving up over losing his hand before Brienne pushes him to get his revenge. Cersei has lost control of Joffery. Good. I hope it stays that way. So both her father and brother don't think that she half as clever as she thinks she is. Ha. My cable cut out during the mutiny of the Nightwatch, but saw that the commander, Jorah's father was killed and Sam went to get the girl to escape. I will have to re-watch.
