  1. That last time I am pretty sure the show updated the opening I am sure it was to add Mark Grossman and dump Loren Lott. 😒 The Diane story has at least brought some life to this show instead of the usual “Who is going to run Newman-Locke”, “Who is going to listen to Billy’s podcast?” and “Who’s house is Dominic going stay in tonight?” crap we’ve been getting for months now.
  2. Unless there is something else happening, that appears to be just it. The hilarious thing is how B&B didn’t realize that it would be universally panned.
  3. All of this!!! I have to admit there’s a couple times I’ve gotten phone calls letting me know great aunt who or some cousin has passed away without feeling any type of emotional connection yet there has been a select few soap performers over the years that when they passed I was bawling my eyes out.
  4. Well said!! It’s unfortunate that a lot of ATWT’s veteran cast like Hays, Hastings, Masters and Fulton never got their fair share of recognition. The world never stopped turning when they were on the screen. LOL maybe Kim should have been more specific. With the bad memory of Bob’s affair with Susan, Emily’s torrid affairs with Tom and Chris, and Alison then taking Chris on a run for his money, I suppose Kim should be greatful that Ellen never eyed Bob for herself or that either Betsy or Dee never broke Andy’s heart 🤣
  5. Sigh. Back during the fall 2014-early 2018 at least Thudley had mixed it up a lot. Even if characters like Ally, Sasha, Sally, Caroline and Oliver were eventually improperly used/discarded or the case of Ivy, dull as dish water at least it was something different. Now we’re back to the endless quad that’s been going for the last three years. Thudley’s next big twist is probably going to involve Hope getting demonically possessed so she can sleep with Thomas. 🙃
  6. Wow, I’m almost in tears reading this. RIP Kathryn Hayes she truly was a legend in her own right.
  7. It is refreshing to see some actual Abbott family drama again on the show, even if it supported largely by ED, BM, and again more 20 year old flashbacks. The lack of Theo mention and also Billy’s words about Phyllis considering his own history with her were indeed strange. And yeah it’s strange that people are comparing Diane to Sheila when Diane came no where close, and even what’s being played out on screen doesn’t even suggest in the slightest that Diane is unhinged, but rather she is simply haunted and full of regrets and actually being realistic. Of course we still have the mystery of Allie’s mother, maybe that’s what is next 🤣
  8. I like the idea of Tanner Novlan as Scott on Y&R, would definitely be far more appealing than Daniel Hall ever was lol. I could see his Scott shacking up with Sally much to Lauren’s dismay now.
  9. Oddly I recall an interview one producer who praised Caron and the character for getting the ball rolling for the Thirteen…I wonder if she was supposed to have been more directly involved with that story. It’s quite obvious something went awry as the buildup abruptly stops.
  10. I have started Season 7 myself and this show is going off the rails fast yet still remains entertaining when it comes to Angela, Maggie, Richard and Emma. Chase’s death left a bad taste in my mouth although I understand of course Foxworth wanted out; Richard being Angela’s son is perplexing but Selby & Wyman make it work. One question I’m confused by is what the heck was up with the Nicole Sauget story? It seemed like it was going to be a big story but the show burnt through it in like 3 episodes and Nicole ended up being a pointless throwaway character. Dana Sparks’ Vickie is a chore to watch can’t wait for Eric to turn psychotic later on this season. At least the show does look visually good compared to Dallas & Dynasty at the time, with some of it looking more like 91-93. And Mark Snow’s score is a bright spot.
  11. Sigh what a waste! And has it been confirmed that this plot twist is actually one big dream of Steffy or is Finn’s death basically it?
  12. Yes I have in my notes that Jack and Diane got engaged on 2/4/97 and the scene originally aired with Donnelly. I’m thinking that the scene had to have been reshot around 2001/02, although it looked edited in a way I wonder if they had just inserted Walters instead of actually doing a reshot like Days was notorious for at the time, especially when Julie Pinson took over the role of Billie and they refilmed numerous famous Bo & Billie moments so the show could use them as “flashbacks”. Lord.
  13. Same here. It’s bad when the only thing memorable is wondering why Nate and Billy are wearing matching purple coats 🤣🤣🤣 On a more serious note if there was one highlight in today’s show it would have been the Chelsea/Sally scenes. This is the type of relationship the two should have had from the start and not the ridiculous instant rivalry stuff. I still wish Ashland had additional kids to be sticking their finger into GC’s businesses to expand the Locke presence.
  14. LOL I can see it now, Katie has yet her umpteenth medical malady and needs a liver transplant so Sheila becomes the one who donates part of her liver. 🤣 And I bolded the part I agree with you with, like I said this has become a fiasco like her 2003 return was, minus the Mayan temple and 1966 Batman style fights.
  15. Two people gunned down over Sheila putting a non-alcoholic sparking cider label on a real bottle of wine. Lol so ridiculous! I had been enjoying Sheila’s return so far however this reminds me of the lunacy of her 2003 return.
  16. Friday’s episode wasn’t bad at all and quite possibly was the most interesting show to air this year so far for Y&R lol. If there is one thing that the show actually excels at is the nostalgia factor. Even squeezing a 2010 flashback was smart. One question though when was the engagement scene reshot with PB & SW? The whole Deacon helped me with a corpse thing was very silly but both Walters and Bergman played it well. In fact SW has done really well so far as playing quiet and haunted. Allie is a delight to watch and a breath of fresh air. And I am glad Stafford has toned it down a bit and has finally been given something interesting to do, but I definitely think GT would have been better for this story. Of course if they set up Diane as completely evil it would be overkill.
  17. Don’t forget that Linda Larkin’s worthless husband was Larry Larkin! 🤯
  18. So much for “Steffy finally gets her happy ever after!” dream. And shocking twist this was not, given that B&B has actually done this twist twice before. Unless Finn comes back as a Zombie Thudley needs to retire. I wonder the same thing too if something else is about to happen like not all is at it seems because otherwise if this is it what a fail.
  19. Two words: Sharon Case. She always has been so warm and endearing in the role without her Sharon would have been shipped off to the nuthouse long ago. It’s a testament to Case’s acting skills and likeability that Sharon survived the era when Smith turned Sharon into a trashy Brooke Logan type and the era of 2009-2016 of when MAB/Sheffer/Hamner, Griffith 2.0, Passanate/Altman, and Pratt all wrote Sharon as the resident psycho with stories more suitable for Sheila. With the exception of parts of the Young era and moments of the current Griffith 3.0 era at least Sharon had stabilized to a point where she is recognize-able again as the troubled heroine she was for her first 15 years.
  20. Thanks for sharing I remember that was a great twist especially with Diane using the money from her divorce settlement with Victor. It also provided a new layers of tension to the already shaky Jack/Phyllis marriage especially when Diane wanted joint custody of Kyle back.
  21. Michael and Lauren had lobster enchiladas with red wine??? 🤢🤢🤢 I am glad we did not have to witness a love scene between the two afterwards, because this show’s [!@#$%^&*] would really literally hit the fan.
  22. Whole new Y&R? Fire Morina and Griffith and then we will talk!
  23. You got that right. The endless pointless pairings (Eden, Hunter, Adrianna, Courtney, Marisa), the constant flighty career changes (writer, singer, barista, businessman, bartender, restauranteur, and now I don’t even know what Noah does besides mope around?) , all the dropped threads (what did Noah do to Eden in Paris? Noah vs. Billy, Noah vs. Santori clan etc.) and strange recasts just have left Noah completely without an identity. Noah being hung up on Tessa because that was his last story anyone can remember is dumb.
  24. I always thought Rey easily should have been a Dylan recast (since Rey essentially filled the same role) but no one has mentioned Dylan at all in years lol and I definitely don’t want Burton hogging up the show ever again. Nick would be the most logical at the moment.
  25. Is Noah Newman the most wasted legacy character in Y&R history? Again so underdeveloped and forgettable I forgot he is even on this show. Again JG rushes any good story ideas too quickly. Instead a prolonged buildup for Jack and Allie to get to know each other better while Allie gets to know Diane better before Jack and Diane finally come face to face, here we are just a week into the story and Jack is already seeing Diane. Sheesh. Ashley needs to return permanently. Lord. Sure there was Spermgate, she was friends with Isabella, and the pool house fire mystery was a really great story/mystery that both Walters and especially Stafford gave performances of their lifetime, however Diane despite being the arsonist never ever went full on crazy like we’ve seen with Sheila, Phyllis, Isabella, and Sharon. See above.
