  1. Nah I feel like it will be something much more mundane like Sharon finding out Rey and Chelsea had a one night stand and Sharon breaks up with Rey in some similar way she did with Scott and Rey leaves town. Perhaps MCE is out next? I believe her own contract is coming up soon.
  2. I liked Jordi in his heyday on GL and yes won the campy Fashion House but he just never felt right on Y&R, and definitely not since Mia left either. Rey & Sharon have been a snoozer since getting together. I mean it’s been nice to have Sharon mostly grounded again lately, Adam issues aside but overall Rey has been a sleepy character on a sleepy show. Is Rey completely out or are they going to recast?
  3. I like MCE too but Chelsea stopped being relevant the moment Justin Hartley left, and even before that the writing was all over the place for Chelsea to begin with as the show could never decide if she was the interesting Chelsea the Con or some generic uninteresting tragic heroine. When the show decided to stick with the latter she became FF material. But I can understand and feel ya on the Days vibes. Rey and Chelsea would pretty much be Y&R’s answer to Rafe and Nicole. 😴 Can Kevin and Chloe have a disagreement that results in a murder-suicide story for the two of them? OMG that is heartbreaking 😞😞😞 I can’t even imagine what they are going through.
  4. Rey & Chelsea as a couple?
  5. I laughed more than I should have. It is utterly embarrassing that Billy & Lily arguing about a silly podcast is considered a “big” story, but here we are.
  6. Thanks @janea4old for starting this, here is what SoapDirt's news letter for the month has to say: The Newman clan will rally together to strategize to rid themselves of Ashland, but the "Locke Ness Monster" is one step ahead of them as he schemes his next devious plot! Victoria will be forced to a make a painful choice of whether or not to buckle to his demands. Diane Jenkins returns to Genoa City, and she unleashes hell on those who have hurt her in the past! Jack, Phyllis, Victor, and Nikki will grapple with the consequences of Diane being alive as Jack's relations with Allie and Kyle are now threatened. Meanwhile Phyllis will sleuth around as Diane holds some grisly secrets about herself! Conflict develops for Lily and Billy as Lily wants to stop Billy's podcast! The dispute over the direction of the podcast and Billy's finding a new purpose in life for himself could spell the end of "Bi-Li"! As a blind-eyed Sharon begins to devote all of her time to her struggling children, a lonely Rey falls into the palms of Chelsea's hands, who becomes increasingly fixated on Rey in a very unhealthy way! Chance swears he is improving, but Abby, Devon, and Amanda remain unconvinced as something still is not quite right with Chance. Meanwhile Devon, Amanda, Nate, and Elena plan for their future, but smooth sailing is not in the cards for the quad.... Drama is the watch word as Mariah and Tessa's nuptials come closer to pass! B&B: Brooke will put up the fight of her life as she realizes that history is repeating itself as the classic endless triangle between her, Ridge, and Taylor has been resurrected as Taylor makes her own moves! Deacon is left in a state of disbelief when he witnesses a crime he wasn't meant to see! Grace will continue to sabotage Carter at every move! Will she go to far? Meanwhile Zende begins to realize something is wrong as well.... Sheila's reign of terror begins to go up in smoke as her deception is unraveled, but Sheila intends to have the last laugh! A devastating climax and shocking conclusion occurs as the lives of Steffy, Finn, Thomas, Liam and Hope are endangered! A beloved character returns to Los Angeles, but they may wear out their welcome back fast when they immediately insert themselves into the Brooke/Ridge/Taylor drama!
  7. Did we really need to see Rafe and Nicole together in the bubble bath for like half of today’s show? Now I’m dreading the resurrection of Duke the Bear.
  8. Lol I jest for sure @kalbir but have been very puzzled by all TPTB decisions as of late, as if they have Finally realized how slow they have been to react. Pretty much all storylines like Ashland faking and Diane’s return came out of nowhere overnight I feel like the entire Y&R writing will be dismissed at some point soon.
  9. At this point the show just should go for broke and have Ashland being a Prentiss family member after all and went after Newman as a means for revenge based on instructions from an undead 102-year old Vanessa Prentiss living in a snazzy Barcelona nursing home villa 🤣🤣🤣
  10. I actually thought early on in that time period but Joe was shoved down Paulina and viewers throats that Joe and Frankie had a nice chemistry
  11. Lol. Wagner and KKL was definitely a far cry from the warm & fuzzy nostalgic moment that WH and KKL had. And Brooke told Nick that she likes to read how famous he’s become….really?? Personally I would have cut the Nick & Bill scenes in favor of someone at the show convincing Flannery to appear for a single episode unless
  12. LOL I so thought that Rafe was going to end up in jail with EJ and Clyde, glad that didn’t come to pass!
  13. Haha yeah WH is, but his real downfall was his public intoxication arrests, urinating in public, and I think something else in 2016? Oh and Thudley thought he was boring. Harmon did give a nice interview with SOC a couple days ago: https://www.soapcentral.com/bold-and-beautiful/news/2022/0321-winsor-harmon-interview-on-bringing-thorne-back-to-the-bold-and-the-beautiful.php Ho yes the Nick scenes we’re cringeworthy but hey with it being the 35th anniversary I suppose it was to honor the very cringeworthy years of 2006-2010? Because that montage straight out of the period.
  14. I was able to watch it on YouTube TV and I must say that even though he may have a few screws loose it was good to see Harmon as Thorne in the flesh again, the scenes with him and KKL felt very warm and at this point I wouldn’t mind having Harmon back as Thorne. However the scenes with Nick complete with a Jack Wagner song playing over the montage were downright EMBARRASSING…..🙈 Eric’s comment about 35 years made me think of the show existing on a sliding time scale like comic books do lol. In retrospect perhaps B&B should have never SOARSed the kids 🤣
  15. LOL. If Ron was writing we would have Nate working on a secret medical project for Ashland, next thing you know Nate becomes Genoa City’s answer to Dr. Rolf as Diane, Brad, Colleen, and Jessica Blair all get revived 😉 There is a cattiness I do enjoy between the two but it’s definitely been wasted on Cane and Billy over the years, neither which brought out the best in the them.
  16. LMAO I predict by this time in two weeks we’ll be seeing Billy & Victoria Part 112 start to occur. Because everyone wants to see Khalil and Heinle go toe to toe because it’ll be so fierce! 🙄 Diane’s entrance, while nice to see her, definitely fell flat on its face. Sure Diane is not as recognizable as let’s say a Sheila Carter return but surely there should have been a lot more flair and at some dramatic cue. However we can’t have interesting things on Griffith & Morina’s Y&R can we?
  17. Any love for the long forgotten Empty Nest? Unfortunately Kristy McNichol’s breakdown and departure from the show was pretty much the death knell of the show, and the later seasons of when Sophia from GG showed up weren’t funny at all. And I can’t even remember the last time I have seen Nurses air anywhere in years.
  18. Yep! And Susan’s husband Linden fared no better in the DOA role of the silly doctor guy who was Kimberly’s lover and was avenging her death with her mother. Talk about just terrible. Speaking of Linden, maybe Sharon will soon have a nightmare of Cameron Like Days, It’s unfortunate that the ghost of Hogan Sheffer still haunts Y&R to this day. MAB & Hammer were just dreadful, but Hogan’s [!@#$%^&*] was just obvious it was him as it smelled awful to high heaven.
  19. I enjoyed her on Dear John back in the day; her character and story on Melrose Place was pretty utterly over the top outlandish though.
  20. She was the victim of a massive feud between Ed Scott and Kay Alden at the time over storyline directions and was fired. I don’t know if anyone has ever actually asked her back as Walters actually appeared briefly again in 2010 before MAB, Sheffer & Co brought on Maura.
  21. Wow this is an interesting development for this cumbersome show. I was hoping for Mari Jo but figured it would be some completely random. new character or Patty again. Like @DRW50 said Alex Donnelley is the only Diane for me, however Walters did do an adequate job in the role as time went on, especially with the pool house fire mystery and bailing out Jabot with money from her divorce settlement with Victor. At least this will finally give Da Stafford©‘s Phyllis something to do. At this point there probably doesn’t need much of explanation of how Diane faked her death lol. This show has had Malcolm, Phillip III, JT, and Adam like 3 times now come back from the death along with us seeing Victor, Sheila Sharon, and Katherine all end up presumed dead at some point. I’d like hope JG doesn’t screw this up but unfortunately I am quite sure he will find a way.
  22. That was just about it for Miller-Boyett as I believe Meego and an ABC show for the Olsen twins that flopped badly right out of the gate were the last shows they did before they called it quits for good.
  23. “704 Houser" may have been a good idea, but it should have remained on paper, or even better, in Lear's mind. I think it might have been a better show if Joey himself had moved into that house, ("All in the Family, the Next Generation"?). Instead a total misfire. John Amos deserved so much better.
  24. Agreed she was a great producer but out of her league as an executive. And of course ABC/Disney used her as a scapegoat, with all the alleged drama that went on as icing on the cake. May she RIP but I recall some folks were unhappy over various obits about her focusing on those tumultuous ABC years instead of her producer career. Great analysis @kalbir and that doesn’t include all those shows CBS went through trying make something be an instant hit instead of letting it grow….Second Chances, Road Home, Hotel Malibu, One West Waikiki, High Society etc. along with leftovers and rehashes from other networks and historic show( 704 Hauser really?!)
  25. Desperation lol they even tried to market it as basically ABC’s TGIF on CBS. It didn’t work. The only saving grace at this time for CBS was once Jamie Tarses took over at ABC that network astonishingly imploded rapidly and would later need Regis to save the day. Why did NBC send Wings flying out of its Thursday night slot? I liked the show’s early seasons but upon rewatch it just wasn’t memorable IMO.
