Yes. It’s nice to see this side of Phyllis again as MS hasn’t played this side of her in years. There was something a while back about Heinle and Luckinbill doing something together for Easter…? I had thought they had divorced but apparently they have not. Who knows. I’m not sure what happened to Graz. The show use to bend over backwards for him work around his movie filming schedule and when he seemed to get recurring primetime gigs, but it seemed like the moment he finally left for bigger things, those bigger things just didn’t materialize anymore. I remember he did pop in a couple times to visit GT Phyllis and it was just surreal.

Interesting to see the show for now seems to be making Phyllis the loose canon while humanizing Ashland. I get the feeling someone continues to do a lot of rewriting. With Daniel calling does anyone know what the Graz is up to these days? I think I last saw him on All Rise in a guest spot a couple years back.

The last story I remember Lyla getting was the silly Native American story and breaking up with Cal who was crushing on Connor by that point. Subsequent writers wrote Lyla as a horrible neglectful/abusive mother to Katie although when Lyla finally appeared for a guest appearance they seemed to dial back on that only for it to come back up again as an explanation for why Lyla couldn’t come to one of Katie’s later weddings, yikes! And yes Susan was reduced to meddlesome mother role, it was underwhelming, original Ric Decker story at least gave her something to do. I thought Susan was going to have a very interesting stuff to do with Gwen/Carly story when Susan realized she had a connection to Carly’s dad, but it went nowhere and we got stuck with Iris instead.

Imani is a delight to watch. Diane drives the story and makes this show watchable. New Summer has been wonderful so far, it’s refreshing to see a classy mature and warmth yet with an actual edginess to her. I could see Jack and Diane as becoming friends, but I don’t think the show would actually go there yet. Insane sure, but OOC for Jack? Given this is the same man who married Sharon, Dr. Emily Peterson, and almost married Genevieve in succession after quickie courtships and also had a brief affair with Gloria, it’s actually not at all OOC for him LMAO.

Was that the one he did with Alexandria Chando? I barely remember it now.

It was nice to see Diane finally get the upper hand today on Phyllis today. Watching Phyllis completely unravel and shake her breasts in front of Diane was hilarious, it’s probably been the most entertaining Stafford as Phyllis has been in years.

I don’t think Imani hasn’t even been developed or fleshed out yet until this past week when she’s finally been allowed to show some sass. So far she’s been pretty Jo I written and portrayed as Amanda’s perfect sister with very little to do. In any case it’s a much needed shot in the arm for a very boring couple since becoming official. Speaking of sets is the ChanceCom set gone too? I though @Paul Raven would say something about it but it is just silly that Devon, Billy and Nate had a very important intense conference at a card table in Devon’s den with a baby upstairs napping lol.

Susan Walters definitely is the star of the show at the moment. The scenes today of Kyle & Summer visiting Diane were actually a breath of fresh air and intriguing. While it was fun to see Sharon tear into Ashland, it’s also hard to have much sympathy given Sharon’s own sordid past. The show probably should have acknowledged it was Memorial Day and have Jack and Phyllis in causal clothes for their Chancellor Park picnic as opposed to the two being so dressed up they looked like they were going to dinner at Top of the Towers lol.

Ya Eric/Donna is gross FF material I’m over them. Same with mopey Steffy’s repetitive dialogue about how she can’t move on without Finn. Adding to the repetition is Li again talking to Finn about how soon he will get better and come back to her. Yawn.

I’ve always been curious about OLTL’s long success myself as it was one soap I could not get into yet I respected it a lot as I knew it was beloved by so many. Was it the longest running middle of the pack soap ever apart from Days lol? The highest I’ve seen the show was it was overall the #3 show from 86ish-89ish. I know it had critically acclaimed success in the early 90’s but had its ups and downs. Last time I really remember it getting attention was when it hit #2 with a 3.0+ during May Sweeps of 2005.

LOL gotcha! And completely agreed. Just like how Ashland’s remission turned into Ashland has been faking for a whole year now out of the blue to the suddenness of Chelsea/Rey before Rey did all because Chelsea had dream about the two. It just goes to show you how much Newman and Walters have given so much beyond on what bones have been thrown their way.

Agreed. It was also great to see her settling in at a room at the GCAC and good to at least see a room set from there again. One thing I do like is how Diane’s motivations seem to be truly focused on Kyle and Harrison, in spite of Nikki and Phyllis allegations. Whether or not Diane does have a couple other ulterior motives remains pretty murky/shrouded and not yet clear. Lol that was awkward and random as heck but I did wonder if they were testing something out. PS Chelsea is very very unworthy of the Barbara Ryan comparison, even when Babs was at her worst 😏

LOL! At least Stafford’s spray tanning techniques have gotten a lot better recently after the messiness in 2020-21 with visibly stained hands and splotches around her neck and occasionally on her arms. Maybe she was spray tanning herself due to Covid restrictions, but it was embarrassing to watch the show film her like that without any effort to at least find some type coverup.

Tracy E Bergman’s real life pregnancy and miscarriage in 1990 was written into the show as of course how Lauren met Sheila. Bregman was pregnant again later that year so the show had Lauren get pregnant again as well.

I remember Beall’s scripts during the MAB era stuck out like a sore thumb even in a sea of mediocrity. If I recall right wasn’t she fired from AMC? Of course MAB hired her. Beall probably should be writing a teen sitcom instead.

As I said in the spoiler forum, at least a chunk of GC’s citizens of interest (ie Sharon, Moses, Faith, Allie, Sally, Billy and Lily) should been in Crimson Lights to be witness the the bitch-slapping going on between the two with the gossip spreading like wildfire. At least it was fun to see Nikki and Diane go at it. The Diane and Traci scenes were very pleasing as well. Susan Walters continues to do an excellent job of a haunted yet now slightly optimistic woman. New Summer is doing well IMO. So much more spark with energy and actually has a bit of a believable edge to her. Only downside is she’s been given some atrocious dialogue lately. Actually as a whole the dialogue has been really strange lately, you would think some 90-year old is writing some of this thinking they’re witty and smart LMAO.

I don’t even know why this show even bothers with business stories anymore as they have stopped making an sense. It would be one thing if it was something like someone had a new marketing idea for Jabot or Fenmore’s but the dialogue is horrible.

Finn’s very weak pulse explanation was exactly the same thing Stephanie said about Felicia’s survival 16 years ago. Hmmm, based on Thudley’s writing as of late, here are my predictions for this summer on B&B: Brooke/Ridge/Taylor: Ridge and Brooke reunite, but then Brooke finds out Ridge and Taylor have covered for Thomas knowing. Brooke blasts Ridge for it being the most unforgivable secret yet, and hops right into the arms of Deacon AND Bill. Bill and Deacon will come to blows over Brooke, who falls off the wagon again. Meanwhile Liam & Hope fight about their fathers. Steffy/Finn/Bridget: Steffy returns to find an amnesiac Finn in love with Bridget his doctor. Steffy blasts Bridget for betraying her Forrester name by becoming another Logan whore taking her man away. Thomas: Thomas is unstable and daydreams about what he could have in the past. As Thomas hits rock bottom, Vinny shows up alive! Turns out Vinny faked his suicide with Sheila’s help (don’t ask) but wants to return to make amends with Thomas. Thomas is so overjoyed he gives Vinny a passionate kiss…..Just Kidding!!! Thomas will probably stalk Hope when she has problems with Liam again.

Even if for whatever reason they can’t have extras (even though I see them now B&B and even Days), at least for a scene populate Crimson Lights with the cast the show has: Sharon working and rushing to help Victoria break it up. Devon, Nate, Lily and Moses all there having a family bonding time over coffee witness it in shock as Moses wonders if he should tell Faith about seeing her grandma in a fight while Lily ponders sharing what she saw with Billy. Allie coming out of the restroom seeing it and wondering if she should tell the rest of the Abbott family as she checks on Diane afterwards. Sally witnessing the whole thing, smirking and can’t wait to tell Adam. The show could easily take a page from Marland on spreading gossip and further tension around town. But that would require JG to actually write even a hint of drama.
