Just funny turning on the VPR reunion and seeing several of the people who tormented Scheana the most over the years and these past few months going down post-season. She must be LIVING.

That one has always been fascinating to me. Some said it was because Archie was the breakout star and won the Emmy for the first season, and JM was envious, but I’m not sure I buy that.

Venus is working out with Seal on IG right now. I wonder if they’ll have remote fans on the screen cheering to create crowd noise. It’ll be weird without that energy. It’s always odd watching smaller tournaments or day matches with no one in the stands. Interesting arguments AGAINST moving forward with the USO:

I agree with her, and they probably have a less than 5% chance of ever doing it again, which is an incredible indictment of both Y&R and the other shows. (As much as GH has showcased its black cast recently, it feels like a blip. B&B did better with the Avants, and we know what happened to them.) The BLM soap podcast had so much righteous anger, but it depressed me. Soaps never made a space for us, and they went to their graves ignoring and demeaning us.

It feels like there’s always this narrative with female ensembles, even though it’s probably just as common with male actors (look at Lethal Weapon with Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans). We can add Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall from Sex and the City to the list of feuds. Betty admitted that Bea wasn’t a fan of hers. The GG enthusiasts on the board may have more info, and certainly the Bea/Betty feud was an OBSESSION when I posted on Datalounge years ago. It was a beautiful day in Upper Manhattan, and I’d say the majority of people out and about were without masks. Social distancing certainly wasn’t been observed much at all, and crowds weren’t being broken up. Groups and families were barbecuing and blasting merengue, and guys were doing shirtless pull-ups on the jungle gym and playing team soccer on the fields. Folks are totally over it at this point. The majority of people wearing masks do it because most stores require them for entry.
