I’m watching now. Very emotional stuff from Martha Byrne and Anne Sayre. Lisa’s sudden passing is still so raw for them, understandably so. Gotta say, I’m annoyed with how Alan treated Maeve Kinkead, cutting off her stories for William Fichtner and JWS.

Has Kathleen Widdoes done one of these? She’s getting up there in age, but she would have been a nice addition if she’s well and interested in taking part.

I generally like Michael Mealor, but some of his choices are missing the mark for me in this story.

JG loves to “hold his cards close to his vest” when it’s likely he may not have even thought out where this is going. “Is Diane sincerely changed or scheming? Maybe even both! Ooooooo the intrigue.” I’m not here for that.

These shows are just not interesting right now. They are really straining for an effect. GH just feels busy, frantic, disjointed, and overstuffed to me, and the stories don’t really come together to create an overall feeling of a community in Port Charles, even though everyone’s lives are interconnected. (I’m watching 1986-87 ATWT, which admittedly ruins these gutted, heartless current shows.)

Look at Kandi all the way off to the side like some rookie and Marlo just off center peach.

Yeah, much better than the similar scenes on Y&R. It just makes me sad that B&B wastes all of this talent with dreck 99 percent of the time. But when they nail it, they nail it. And JMW deserves to be a soap diva in a better era. She’s excellent.
