  1. She’s a very good actress, but a lot of the stanning was way overboard. And she was completely, insanely miscast as Lorna. Alicia Coppola is a one-off, a rare talent who was the sole reason I started paying attention to AW, but they could at least gone for an actress who could convincingly play a young woman from the streets. RC always seemed like she was forcing it.
  2. That still blows my mind. But I loved Brenda so it didn’t bother me.
  3. Abby finally has some involvement in her family’s stories.
  4. YMMV, but I think Marci Miller is excellent and would be a worthy winner. She’s really grown so much as Abby and become so relaxed and charismatic in the role. (Partially because she’s been given much more entertaining, deliciously bitchy material since her wan early days.)
  5. Caleb from Philly 🇺🇸
  6. I remember people on the MediaDomain forums LOVED Robin Christopher. They thought she was Meryl Streep, Katharine Hepburn, and Rita Hayworth rolled into one. It was strictly an RC stan zone.
  7. B&B really didn’t fare well this year. Not even JMW got her perennial nod. John McCook got in for his cuck story (which I think he actually did good work with, far better than the story deserved).
  8. I love Mishael, but in what world is she a lead as Amanda on Y&R? It would have made far more sense for her to have been nominated as a lead for Hilary years back. Good for her for snagging a nod, though. Not even La Stafford could sneak in (I don’t know if MS actually submitted). The Daytime Emmy press release touts that for the “first time since 2012 there are African American nominees in both the Lead Performance: Actor and Lead Performance: Actress categories.”
  9. I don’t get how the Emmys justify nominating every single broadcast soap for Outstanding Drama Series year after year. Even in this depleted landscape, it’s an embarrassing participation trophy.

  11. Rare that you see someone get such universally glowing remembrances.
  12. Shows how much I follow this stuff. I didn’t know he split from Jaimie Alexander.
  13. Umut from Düsseldorf 🇩🇪
  14. Cancelled after two seasons.
  15. The dancing is cringe but still:
  16. Power.
  17. All of this. And Gilly could have had a really interesting story with A-M and perhaps even tangling with Alexandra, but nope. They led her down a sordid path instead. Lucy represented everything cheap and desperate about that era of GL to me.
  18. They might have an arrangement. I know someone in a similar situation.
  19. I especially hated how SS always sounded like she needed a decongestant with that squeaky little voice of hers. And Ben/Sam/Lindsay/Will/Jenn broke the spell for me with OLTL. Just was never the same after that.
  20. I thought he married a man lol.
  21. I didn’t see a May one, but just had to say how gross it is for Eric to be schtupping Donna while his granddaughter is recovering a near-death experience and grieving the violent death of her husband.
  22. It looks fun, but doesn’t quite seem like the vicious mess that the initial press conveyed. But I’m all in on anything Dorinda and Blue Stone Manor.
  23. Lucy Cooper on Guiding Light - one of the reasons I dropped the show in the mid ‘90s. The RappaDavidsons on OLTL - such a bland and annoying family. Yet inescapable. I couldn’t even enjoy Catherine Hickland (the only worthwhile performance of that bunch) because I so resented their immediate ubiquity.
  24. Oh no. I had no idea. I was watching some of his stuff last night. He did beautiful work.
