I'd say so. Robert Calhoun was ATWT's last, great EP, too. He might not have raised GL's ratings significantly, but he did promote Nancy Curlee to Co-HW and helped bring GL back to being a more ensemble-driven show after it had been dominated for so long by KZ/Reva and the other Lewis/Shaynes. IMO, as his predecessor, JFP coasted on the groundwork that he (and Curlee/Stephen Demorest) had laid. Once that was over, the show pretty much fell apart.

God forbid Mama Khan becomes ill with the coronavirus, or anything else. But, if she does, then they'll have to shoot me to keep me out of the ICU. I refuse to let anyone I love die alone. Even if it means risking my own life and limbs to do it.

Thanks, @DramatistDreamer. I thought that had occurred during the George W. Bush administration, but I wasn't sure. IIRC, Mama and Papa Khan used their stimulus check to pay on credit card bills. If Mama Khan should receive a stimulus check this time around, she's already said we'll be using it to buy groceries as needed. Either way, we won't be using the check in the way even the Democrats have intended.

Frankly, that wouldn't be good enough. In order to keep him from saying anything, they'd have to sedate him -- and good luck slipping anything into that man's food or drink, since he's always worried someone's trying to poison him. I still remember when George W. Bush* encouraged people to spend their stimulus checks in order to keep the economy from staggering, and then people turned right around and paid bills with them. These administrations never understand that the average American can't really think about "discretionary spending" when the rent and utilities are due. You want people to pump money back into the economy? Lower the damn rents, figure out why the costs of keeping the lights on and the houses warm in the winter (and cool in the summer) continue to rise and then lower those costs too! (*At least, I think it was during the George W. Bush administration. Maybe it was during Barack Obama's instead?)

I get what you're saying, @Juliajms, but I'm just not comfortable testing, marking or tagging anyone -- not even highly contagious people. I hear/read that kind of language and my mind immediately goes back to those inherently racist and xenophobic "no-fly" lists. Even if the intentions behind creating such a system are pure and purely for everyone's benefits, I feel like it wouldn't be long before people began to pervert the system, extending it beyond people who are "safe" to travel to saying such-and-such persons can't travel on our airplanes (or trains, or buses, or whatever), because they're coming from places known to be heavily infected with the virus, whether or not they, themselves, are carriers. I mean, already, I can see Asians being denied passage under the system. HANTAvirus? Aw, [!@#$%^&*]. As if we don't have enough to worry about. Now, we gotta look out for the mouse flu.
