  1. Unfortunately, if he is stopped, either by invoking the 25th amendment or through #NaturalCauses2020, we're left with Mike Pence, who'll just tell everyone to go home and pray.
  2. Oh, God, no. Not Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. This [!@#$%^&*] sucks.
  3. Oh, must they give him that kind of look, lol?
  4. It might've been, given the timeline. It's surprising to read how great of an expense they went to for a low-rated soap.
  5. There's really no point in reviving DALLAS once again without Larry Hagman.
  6. At this point, I doubt any endorsements from Elizabeth Warren or anyone else would make much of an impact upon Bernie Sanders' campaign. It seems to me, at least, that he can't appeal to anyone who isn't already in his camp. IMO, what the progressive movement lacks is a leader with broad appeal. If Pete Buttigieg had pitched himself more as a progressive, for example, more would be on board with progressives' vision for this country. But, as it is, most still reject progressivism because they simply are put off personally by Sanders and Warren.
  7. Don't be surprised if Trump calls for the election to be cancelled in November "out of health and security concerns."
  8. Imagine if Barack Obama had encouraged Joe Biden to run for president four years ago. Imagine where we'd be right now, instead of where we actually are. As always, I'm just saying. Frankly, I don't view the 2016 vs. 2020 numbers so much as proof of sexism amongst voters (although, I'm sure it's present) as it's proof that Hillary Rodham Clinton was just the wrong kind of candidate to put up against, well, anyone. The media AND the GOP performed a decades-long hit job on the woman's reputation that paid off in the long run. Plain, and simple.
  9. He was sentenced to twenty-three years...but how much of that time will he actually serve?
  10. As if journalists would risk their own lives (or those of their loved ones) JUST to infect him with coronavirus. I realize the man is a germaphobe, but that's ridiculous even for someone like him.
  11. He's testing the waters for his own show (likely, one w/ co-host Amy Klobuchar). Welp, looks like another Republican administration has tanked the economy. And all because they wouldn't get out of the medical and scientific communities' way about reassuring people about the Coronavirus. Sad.
  12. Damn. #NaturalCauses2020 just might be a thing after all, lol. I've been in love with Kamala Harris ever since she went full-on "It's Not Right, But It's Okay" with that lying piece of crap, B**** K********, at his SCOTUS confirmation hearing. So, whatever role she wants to play in a presumptive Joe Biden administration, I'm down!
  13. The blood of every man, woman and child who dies of this virus will be on this administration's hands. Even Donald Trump wouldn't be able to resist what JFP could do for his administration!
  14. Only Donald Trump could politicize a pandemic, dismissing it as an attempt to depress our economy and scare voters into not re-electing him in November. The scary and sad part, however, is that people actually believe him.
  15. Mitch Laurence will go down as one of soaps' all-time greatest villains; and that's because of Roscoe Born and how he always played Mitch to the hilt and beyond. He will definitely be missed.
  16. Chapter XLVII: In Which the Distinguished Gentleman from Utah Extinguishes the Goodwill Received from Voting to Depose Our Feckless Leader https://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/romney-to-vote-for-subpoena-in-senate-investigation-targeting-the-bidens/2020/03/06/d01a1e88-5fcd-11ea-b014-4fafa866bb81_story.html?fbclid=IwAR2MYkew0oxMEhrUCv2YG-NMBC9H54i-z8jffG11Uoq-Q7UWDypPFiEXW24
  17. Well, after all, it IS a soap opera message board.
  18. I'm sure some publisher will publish his memoirs, if only because of this new controversy.
  19. He couldn't stand the heat, so he's getting out of the kitchen. Yup, lol! The number of people this administration has gone through is staggering. LOVING and SFT didn't experience so much turnover.
  20. And why should he? The truth is, before 2016 (or so), hardly anyone outside of Vermont had heard of Bernie Sanders, much less took him seriously. Why should he do or say anything to upset that apple-cart now? I believe there was a time when Sanders had the best of intentions for his country and would not have tolerated the level of abuse coming from his supporters. But, I also believe there came a point when he grew frustrated with not being taken seriously; and so, in that moment, Bernie the Demagogue was born. Perhaps he does agree with the racist, misogynistic, xenophobic and other deplorable things his supporters are saying and doing online and in public. But, if he doesn't, then I have to believe he's allowing it all to continue, because to him, the "revolution" is what matters.
  21. Guess this means she won't be officially endorsing Bernie Sanders?
  22. Yes, and it's precisely those double standards that continue making the Democrats look like pencil-necked geeks to the Republicans' bullying jocks.
  23. It might have been stupid -- or, "inappropriate" and "dangerous," to quote the GOP -- but so were B**** K********'s words at his SCOTUS confirmation hearing, which I believed Schumer was echoing. (Especially the part about "reaping the whirlwind," or whatever). Yet, because it was a Democrat saying those things this time around, of course, the Republicans want to accuse him of making a deliberate threat on individual's lives. (And Schumer, like all purity-striving Democrats before him, caves almost immediately and apologizes, even though he did absolutely nothing wrong.) Meanwhile, Donald Trump accuses the left-leaning justices of political bias on little more than his legendary golden gut, and John Roberts remains silent. I'm so damn tired of this country. Too damn tired, in fact, even to CARE about Aaron Schock. So, the bastard's out. Congratulations, Aaron. You're still not invited to Pride Week.
  24. Joe Biden haters/Bernie Sanders supporters: "If he can stay awake long enough!"
  25. Agree. In a way, Elizabeth Warren sits in the catbird seat. Her endorsement could mean plenty to Joe Biden's or Bernie Sanders' campaigns. So, if I were her, I would just say, "I will support whoever the nominee turns out to be," and then leave it at that.
