  1. More and more, I feel like Hallmark/Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and GAC Family are setting the stage for a blood royal this Christmas, and I, for one, cannot wait for it, lol.
  2. On the one hand, you could argue that Jax needs to be still in Port Charles, if only for Joss's sake. But, on the other hand, you could recast Jax (even de-age him slightly!) and I don't think it would make much of a difference in the long run. That's how superfluous Jax and Ingo have become to me on GH.
  3. Listen, there is a part of me that will NEVER forgive Skye for almost killing Cindy and Scott Chandler (in a house she set on fire while a member of a hate group) on AMC OR for faking both a coma and paralysis to hold onto Tom Cudahy. AFAIC, the heffa could drink herself into the grave and I wouldn't so much as bat an eyelash, lol. Agree. They could have used Susan Lucci or Genie Francis (with or without Anthony Geary). Heck, they could've used even Erika Slezak, Robin Strasser (even though she'd been on AMC before in a different role) or Jane Elliot (same problem as Strasser and Francis, but the precedent was there w/ her appearing as Tracy on THE CITY). Same here. I swear there are even folks who preferred her over Alicia Coppola as Lorna on AW, which boggles my mind to no end.
  4. It is. I agree. That's why I used parentheses. I probably shouldn't have used the term at all, though. Which is ironic, when you consider how, at least in the beginning, Y&R was very racy compared to other soaps. Which is why I call bullshit on a certain poster's revelation in another thread that CBS had asked him to create an all-Black soap in '73 or whenever. No way. Not in 1973, not at CBS, and definitely not with William J. Bell.
  5. Like I said, I'm sure Bell/Alden had the best intentions - and I give them props, too, for not making the "crack mother," Nan, a WOC AND for having the courage to show viewers actual "crack babies" being cared for at the hospital. But, to me, it also seemed to reinforce some conservative attitudes toward poor women who have the misfortune of becoming pregnant while strung out on a drug that was literally robbing this country of an entire generation in the '80s and '90s. (And Christine's constantly spouting stats straight outta some pamphlet or textbook didn't help matters either.)
  6. Claire Labine tried her best, though, to make it make sense with the rest of the show. But, yeah, between San Cristobel and the Santos family, all traces of the GL that I loved and remembered had disappeared.
  7. Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Skye wasn't a good fit on GH or with the Quartermaines. I can't believe it took all three shows - AMC, OLTL and GH - to retcon her origins and I still can't make heads-or-tails out of any of it, lol.
  8. Sadly, Eli wakes up thinking he's Dr. Greg Peters.
  9. But, then again, so is Abby WITH her head.
  10. Reading this reminded me of the time Y&R's Christine and Danny tried to help a "crack mother" see the error of her ways. I realize Bill Bell and Kay Alden had the best of intentions with that story; nevertheless, something about it has always left a bitter taste in my mouth. IKR? I kept expecting to see someone pop up on screen and say, "This is my wreck - and Nina Turner got me my check!".
  11. At least, that was my impression at the time, from reading message boards and such. Like @Darn said, her introduction was unpopular, but I think Kristina (and JRN) grew on people (or some people, anyway, lol). I'm actually surprised to learn that wasn't the case, lol. Ah. That makes sense. Thanks, @carolineg. I especially loved it when Alexis told Sonny that while her family, the Cassadines, were staging deadly vendettas, his ancestors were still working for them in the fields with the other peasants. That. Stang.
  12. He's going to help protect their baby from the devil...and the aliens.
  13. The look on Hillary B(ailey) Smith's face is probably the best reaction one COULD give to this kind of news.
  14. Really? But so many were so pissed when she was killed off!
  15. I still can't get over those shitty tats on his arm and whatever the hell he's doing to his face (see first photo).
  16. IIRC, too, Courtney came along at a time when it seemed like JFP and McTavish were just handing out free long-lost half-siblings to everyone. There was Courtney, and Kristina (who was actually quite popular, I think) and at least one other that I'm forgetting atm.
  17. All I can say is, I hope Kevin and Patrika are happy with the way their story turned out, 'cuz we sure as hell aren't, lol.
  18. I wish I could leave this country. Alas.
  19. IMO, it just never made sense for Kung Fu Barbie to be Sonny's long-lost half-sister.
  20. I think @Vee said recently that Pratt was fond of Courtney/ALW as well.
  21. I wouldn't mind seeing Kim Cattrall (and yes, Andrew McCarthy) in a new sitcom either.
  22. Especially in Hollywood. You know, for someone who claims to love Jesus so much, Steve should know that tattoos (and tattoos featuring religious icons) are a no-no with our Father.
  23. Granted, I haven't seen much of THE CITY, but what I have seen looks to me like how Joel Schumacher might produce a soap if he had the chance.
  24. Hope, Liam and Steffy haven't eaten B&B. They've set fire to it, bulldozed the dirt over its' remains, and then built a new theme park devoted to their screwed-up dynamics on top.
