  1. That was great! I think it's much better with fewer people. MEK, Cady and John all ended up tearing up recounting fan encounters and various soap memories. And MEK looks great! Better than he did at the end of AMC that's for sure. I liked when MEK said his favorite material wasn't the on-the-run stuff but the domestic work with Tad and Dixie raising Junior and Jamie while trying to keep their love alive.
  2. Michael E. Knight is talking about David Canary and I'm trying not to cry.
  3. They definitely had something going on before that. He said "you liked it before Mrs. Abbott" after he she told him to stop feeling her up but Jill was like "Not anymore", then she ordered him out of her room. I just watched the scene two days ago.
  4. Lol I couldn't resist, I read that. Thanks. I saw what happened between them, apparently he'd been servicing her for some time until she got the divorce and came into some power with her settlement. Suddenly she rejected his advances and got him fired. He went to her room afterward and tried to reason with her, instead she called security. Jill was just being plain mean about the whole thing, I can't blame him. I will say it feels a little lazy to make him the culprit but that's to be expected of most shootings/murder mysteries on soaps. It's usually someone expendable.
  5. Dangit I thought I'd read years ago that it was Kay! I remember thinking to myself "They must've worked overtime to get her out of that one". Thanks, don't tell me!
  6. I'm somewhere in 85, Jill has just been shot (and Brenda's acting is alL OVer THe plACe) and I can't remember, who shot her? I think it was Kay (she's the only viable suspect so far), how'd she get away with it?
  7. Ah, all that baby Cabot nonsense turned me off the show so I'd stopped watching by then.
  8. Was she on trial here for Carly, Rose and Emily's kidnappings?
  9. So is Carly on GH, I just personally think they were bad for their respective shows. ATWT's Carly less so but even still...I found her very grating (Maura's acting style is not my cup of tea).
  10. I've always found it funny that the foundations of GH and ATWT were slowly dismantled starting with a Carly lying about the paternity of her child.
  11. I've been watching Y&R episodes from 85, the fallout from John finding out about Jill and Jack's night together. An episode of AMC from 85 was also posted in their thread today. And the production values are like night and day. Y&R looks and feels so lush, with the sweeping camera angles, the close-ups, the deliberated nuanced dialogue, whereas AMC (which is the soap I grew up on so it holds my heart) looks like an 80s sitcom. Y&R was just on another level, sure the show doesn't feel as homey or relatable or funny as other soaps of its day but it's not supposed to be. It's a novel for television, every moment has purpose. It's just so pretty.
  12. Thanks @YRfan23 and @will81
  13. I have questions...is Traci supposed to be a teenager here? She looks 30. Victor and Ashley are just openly having an affair? Kissing in the lab? Happily giggling? Was Ashley torn about this at all? Either of them? Who is Andy's girlfriend? Who is the bald black guy? 3 black guys on Y&R? And they're not related? They can barely handle 3 black people at a time now. I'm shook. I miss when Y&R had friend groups. Are there even friends on the show anymore? Maybe there are now, I haven't watched in some time. Kay was such a miserable old crone. It's a staple of daytime but the fact that she took time out of her day just to antagonize Jill makes her look so pathetic. She didn't even have an excuse, she just went there to spar, it's hilarious.
  14. It's crazy how important the score was to Y&R. They managed through acting, directing and the music to make scenes like Dru signing a modeling contract thrilling, tense and dramatic.
  15. Someone please tell me why that man even has a job? The music on Y&R now is downright awful. And it's always the same [!@#$%^&*] lackluster chords taking us to commercial and the end credits. And how can HE listen to THAT and think his score is okay?
  16. That's so sad...his poor daughter. Edmund got such a bad exit considering how prominent and important he was for much of the 90s.
  17. Today I learned Adrienne Franz is pregnant and that Scott Bailey is not a homosexual.
  18. Those look fan-made. Why would a Tina doll based on Andrea Evans be released with similar packaging as a Todd doll? Anyway, the Todd doll the show released was a little ugly rag doll thing like the Starr doll.
  19. Bizarre promo, "new compelling drama"??? And nothing he says matches with what's onscreen...romance and then two guys sitting at a bar? Adventure and some guy saying he's not going to hurt some woman? Who made this? Lmao
  20. YIKES! Thanks...that is some tough competition but damn.
  21. I think that shot is actually in reverse, which is maybe why it looks so awkward. This promo is very cringey, Reva the sex goddess never worked for me.
  22. I didn't know he could sing!
  23. Your post made me look up that show...it only aired twice? Yeesh how bad were the ratings? I can't find anything online.
  24. Nazanin Boniadi (Leyla, GH) has been cast as a lead on Amazon's big budget Lord of the Rings prequel.
  25. On Monday, January 5, 1970, a haughty teenager with a voluminous bouffant scoffed about her hometown, “Pine Valley isn’t exactly the corner of Hollywood and Vine.” I'm gonna be one of those people: Erica wasn't in the first episode of All My Children.
