  1. I watched only ABC soaps. And then I picked up Days and Y&R due to them being watched by people I knew. I watched B&B briefly when the Avants were on. But I've never seen a single episode of As The World Turns. I never heard of Colleen Zenk until a month ago - that may seem sacrilege to this board, but it is what it is. I take everyone's word for it that Zenk is a good actress, and I believe you; but so far, I've seen her in only a few episodes of Y&R. Jordan is written as a cartoon villain. I'm sure Zenk is doing what she can with what's written and I respect that. But this type of camp writing/production is just not interesting to me.
  2. https://twitter.com/GeorgeTakei/status/1728783473484149142 Here is the full text of his long tweet: November 26, 2023 George Takei @GeorgeTakei A Democrat was in the White House when my family was sent to the internment camps in 1941. It was an egregious violation of our human and civil rights. It would have been understandable if people like me said they’d never vote for a Democrat again, given what had been done to us. But being a liberal, being a progressive, means being able to look past my own grievances and concerns and think of the greater good. It means working from within the Democratic party to make it better, even when it has betrayed its values. I went on to campaign for Adlai Stevenson when I became an adult. I marched for civil rights and had the honor of meeting Dr. Martin Luther King. I fought for redress for my community and have spent my life ensuring that America understood that we could not betray our Constitution in such a way ever again. Bill Clinton broke my heart when he signed DOMA into law. It was a slap in the face to the LGBTQ community. And I knew that we still had much work to do. But I voted for him again in 1996 despite my misgivings, because the alternative was far worse. And my obligation as a citizen was to help choose the best leader for it, not to check out by not voting out of anger or protest. There is no leader who will make the decision you want her or him to make 100 percent of the time. Your vote is a tool of hope for a better world. Use it wisely, for it is precious. Use it for others, for they are in need of your support, too. end of tweet
  3. She says in the dialogue when speaking to Nikki: "You can call me Jordan, for now."
  4. ClaireEve had no idea that Jordan did this and is aghast to hear Jordan tell the Newmans this. You've been lying to me all my life?
  5. "soapoperamagazine.com" ? The bios of their writers sound fake. I doubt that they were "Soap Opera Weekly". This was Soap Opera Weekly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soap_Opera_Weekly
  6. For most online shows, that happens for me, regardless of the streaming provider. I have learned to be alert to the episode being about to end. Then I hold my computer mouse ready. The credits section starts to shrink into a corner as another show starts to load in the main screen. The second the that credits start to shrink in the corner, I put my mouse on the those credits and they come back up to regular size, and the other show stops loading. Then I can watch the credits. It takes practice to time it just right. If I miss it, then I restart the episode and fastfoward to near the end, and try again. (I watch on a computer. Not sure how this would if watching on a phone). I had to discontinue my peacock subscription a few months ago. But that's what I did when I had it. I don't know if the peacock process has changed since then.
  7. Fyi there is some website out there that calls itself "soapoperamagazine.com" Back in September, when Billy Miller passed away, an article from that website was circulating saying he died from a neurological disorder. At that time, I looked into the website, and discovered it had been around only since February 2023, and their content didn't look reputable. (They later removed that incorrect article and replaced it with the correct information via the statement from his mother). That website no longer has an "about" page. This is the "about page" they had on their site as of October 2023: https://web.archive.org/web/20231014180126/https://soapoperamagazine.com/about-us/ That page gives biographies of three of their writers, which say that the writers are "a veteran soap columnist", "a respected soap columnist" and "a seasoned soap columnist". Has anyone heard of those writers before? There are many soap writers I'm unfamiliar with. They have a sketchy article up now that has the title: "The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Aunt Jordan and Claire Caught and Cuffed" -link- which sounds like a headline but then if you click to read, it gives *speculation* based on that Nov. 18 tweet from Christian Le Blanc that shows him with Hayley Erin and Colleen Zenk with a barred window in in the background. -link to tweet- The headline makes it definitive but the writeup says it's speculation. I don't really care about any of that... there are many viewers who are speculating about CLB's tweet. We are all trying to guess what might happen. Colleen Zenk has been replying to or retweeting a few comments on her presence on Y&R. She's appreciating that fans are welcoming her back to daytime. She retweeted somebody's post linking to that "soapoperamagazine.com" article. Does Colleen know that "soapoperamagazine.com" is not a well-known site? Or would it matter? Maybe it's just fun for her to read the buzz about her being on Y&R, and not intended to be a serious endorsement of anything.
  8. New Colleen Zenk interview Nov. 25 https://soaps.sheknows.com/the-young-and-the-restless/news/699469/jordan-claire-reveal-truth/ (edited to correct the link)
  9. Thanks. The Oct. 6 episode is the Dano podcast where Zenk talks about her cancer among other things. Many of the podcast platforms I checked have only that episode (so far). Spotify has the *new* Dano podcast where Zenk talks about Y&R. That new episode is dated Nov. 20. Hopefully the other podcast platforms will have it soon. The new episode is dated Nov. 20 and they say near the end that it was recorded Nov. 16.

  11. The show tweeted out the interview and now it's also up on tvinsider's website: https://www.tvinsider.com/1111602/days-of-our-lives-nicole-walker-baby-switch-arianne-zucker
  12. Kathleen Culliton is the daughter of Carolyn and Richard Culliton This is Carolyn's twitter - she sometimes mentions Kathleen https://twitter.com/oldbat53871 List of "Raw Story" articles by Kathleen so far: https://www.rawstory.com/u/kathleenculliton
  13. Here's another copy in case that one is geographic-locked or something
  14. Of course, but even if we totally know that in our minds, we can still experience emotional surprise when watching it. Both things can be true.
  15. This issue is a three-week issue. Cover date "Nov. 27 – Dec. 17, 2023 Triple Issue" I get TV Guide Magazine digitally for free from my public library's website using my library card for their periodical section, via libbyapp.com From there, I use the search function on each issue to look for "daytime" to find soaps spoilers. Every couple of months they've been publishing a spoiler for one of the soaps, usually just big things like a wedding, or gala. The new issue has a two-page spread which encompasses all four soaps, which I hadn't seen before.
  16. @JAS0N47 and anyone else reading who collects print issues of soap magazines: You might be interested in the above posts (and previous page) of this thread, discussing the new issue of TV Guide print magazine with its special feature on soaps written by Michael Maloney. It's a two-page feature. It's not a "soap magazine" but still interesting. Cover date "Nov. 27 – Dec. 17, 2023 Triple Issue" Print issue cover is "NCIS: Sydney"
  17. This October 30 tweet from Casey Kasprzyk is now Casey's pinned tweet. His pinned tweet. I don't think I've ever seen Casey pin a tweet.

  19. This is the same preview that was tweeted out a few days ago. Here it is in higher definition: https://www.facebook.com/TheYoungandtheRestless/videos/373199391758904
  20. Re: TV Guide... That Michael Maloney interview with Melody Thomas Scott is now up on the TV insider website (spoilerish) https://twitter.com/TVInsider/status/1727419176464322763 https://www.tvinsider.com/1111605/the-young-and-the-restless-melody-thomas-scott-nikki-escape-claire/
  21. Exactly. SOD tweeted on Oct 31, Nov 1, Nov 4, Nov 11, and Nov 18 -- that Tyler Christopher died. Each tweet was new but identical, and all linked to the same Oct. 31 article.
  22. SOD's print issue usually had two spoiler articles for each soap. Each soap would have one longer preview article or spoiler interview. and one smaller article in the "Hot Plots" section. Usually one of each type -- for a total of two for each soap. (B&B sometimes had only one article in a single issue because their episodes are only half the length, so there are less storylines in a given week.) The print issue would be in stores Fridays, and it would be on sale in digital(online) format Thursday nights at midnight(for early Friday). Also many public libraries would have the new issue in digital format for free on Fridays. I would check it weekly for all the spoiler articles previewing the coming week. For the past few weeks, now that SOD has gone to website only, this is the pattern I've observed: They seem to posting these same articles as I described for what the print edition did (two spoiler articles per soap per week, with B&B sometimes having only one) --- but they usually upload each article to their website the night before its spoiled events air. For example if a character is spoiled to do something specific, the spoiler article about that appears on the SOD website only 12-24 hours in advance. So instead of previewing the week ahead with a bunch of articles the way the print issues did, the website now previews one day in advance for one soap at a time. So if you didn't check the website, you'd miss the specific new preview. I mean shouldn't the articles come out a few days in advance? The layout of the front page of the SOD website seems to have the new article at the top but sometimes it's not obvious on the front page, or new things fall down the page rapidly. I have had to click on the individual links for each soap, daily, to see if new articles/interviews are posted for that soap. I'm hoping it's simply them learning the ropes of being online only, which I would understand. (I'm hoping it's not an attempt to make me click on their website frequently.) Sometimes they tweet out a link to a new article right away, and other times the tweet appears up to 24 hours after the article first appears on the website, which is why I've been checking the website directly. And sometimes they tweet it again a few times over the next few days and weeks. (not a retweet but a brand new tweet saying the same thing with the same link).
  23. yes I saw that, the Days twitter and facebook accounts picking up that TV Guide Nicole article and posting it in full. Interesting that TV Guide gave permission. Also another Michael Maloney TV Guide article posted in full for B&B on John McCook's ig. (spoilers)
