  3. This promo shows Noah having a flashback to a kiss he had with Audra, during which she made a pass at him and he turned her down. Right after that she went to Tucker and had sex with Tucker. What happens this coming week with Noah and Audra (if anything) I don't know.
  4. @DramatistDreamer wrote "I was surprised at the number of people who did not know that England compensated slaveowners for the loss of their slaves, while giving the former slaves absolutely nothing and that British taxpayers, including some of the descendants from the colonies where England once held slaves, were are all paying those descendants of slave owners until 2015." Thank you for posting this! I didn't know about this until I read your post. omg. I don't have netflix so I can't watch this. I'm so glad you posted and so angry this happened. omg and meanwhile people in the US are angry about anyone suggesting reparations to descendants of people who were enslaved. I am an elderly person who hasn't been to school in decades but try to keep myself apprised of progressive news; and I consciously try to learn/correct about whatever lack of true knowledge I learned in school. But I hadn't known this before you posted. I will now read up on it.
  5. After the list of Best and Worst, in the same issue of SOD are a few "honorable mentions" and other things they wanted to acknowledge for 2022. Quoting SOD: History High: DAYS’s Sarah believing that she was the late Renee DuMonde provided fun reminders of characters of yore, like Alex Marshall, Neil Curtis and Don Craig (and the fact that Don just disappeared one day 35 years ago and hasn’t been heard from since), and set up an amusing stand-off between “Renee” and Anna, who both claimed Tony as her own. End quote. _____________________________ I have to *strongly* disagree with that being a history highpoint. I would have to say that was one of the worst uses of history ever. It was a horrible badly-written, badly-acted, stupid, and insulting storyline. They wanted to make it a tribute to Renee - but it came off as an insult to the memory of that character.
  6. Preview of scenes from week of December 12: Chelsea said on Dec. 9 CDN (Dec 12 US) that her therapist told her to make amends to people like they do in A.A. So ... what is this (in the video clip)? Is Chelsea going to make amends to Billy in a short conversation ... for raping Billy in Myanmar? REALLY? This SHOULD be addressed ! But I don't trust the show to really address it. Billy will probably say "meh" and that will be it. Also, in the 12step programs, you talk with your sponsor before making each amend about all the ramifications of bringing up the past. You don't just go out and have casual conversations with people you harmed and say "whoops sorry, oh well".
  7. Her foot has four toes (one is covered), that's the whole point. A while back, Sheila cut one off one of her own toes in order to fake her death. Finn just figured that out this week, so that's why Steffy knows it's her.
  8. Of course Gloria would name the club after herself. ROFL. I didn't see it but I imagine that Neil's club was way classier than Gloria's club.
  9. Did Esme attend school with Spencer in Europe? Or was she a much older girl (or a young woman) that Spencer dated while he going to school in Europe? I mean she could have faked her age in order to get close to him. We had been assuming that Esme is Spencer's age, but is she?
  10. It's the cover of "Restless Style" magazine which is not a real thing. That magazine was a business that some Y&R characters worked at in the past. I don't know what year that was. The cover mentions "Genoa City's hot new nightclub Gloworm". https://theyoungandtherestless.fandom.com/wiki/Gloworm and shows Kevin and Chloe all dressed up. I thought it interesting in that through the years, Y&R periodically has a new place that the characters referred to as the hottest new club or nightspot. Remember around 2019 or so, Abby opened "Society" with the idea that it would be a trendy place to have supper and listen to quality live music. And now people just go there for gossip and business lunches. What happened to it being a supper club? Now in 2022 we have "The Glam Club" that Noah runs. Will anything glamorous happen there? It seems to have already defaulted into a place to have meetings because most of the characters don't have home sets or office sets. Elizabeth Hendrickson posted that image because it was a cool pic of her and Greg Rikaart back in the day. I'm curious, to ask, for those who were watching back when the Gloworm club existed, what was it like?
  11. Someone posted this on another thread, I thought I would mention it here, too. They want you to subscribe to read it, here is an archive copy: https://archive.vn/GNZX3 Wow, they've only been working with him for a few months at SVU but this tells about his issues at his previous jobs. "The complaints about Graziano highlight concerns among victims’ advocates that some showrunners wield too much unchecked power as they move from show to show, and that much work remains when it comes to Hollywood’s commitment to equality, inclusion and safety in the workplace. As long as Hollywood has existed, bullying has been ingrained in the culture. But Graziano’s conduct stood out, according to many of those who worked for him. “Bullying in this business is a matter of degrees. There is a problem in this business,” said one of the television writers who worked with Graziano in the mid-2000s and has gone on to work on other shows."
  12. That's exactly what GV said in that Nov. 2022 Michael Fairman interview. LOL. He was tired of playing a dull and boring priest. (I know you said the writing for Jensen's Eric (before being a priest) was written as dull too, but still.)
  13. Mishael Morgan's "Chicago Med" character "Dr. Petra Dupre" works for the Dayton corporation that developed the hospital's newest surgery technology. As you can see, her white doctor coat says her name on one front pocket - and the other front side of her coat says "DAYTON" and not the name of the hospital. I don't know if Mishael's character "Dr. Petra Dupre" will be a regular on Chicago Med or not. Maybe it was just to introduce this new surgery technology? But I think she has to be in the operating room whenever it's used - so I don't know. I guess it might depend on whether the hospital keeps the new surgery technology or not. On Dec. 7, they aired the last episode before the Christmas break. At the very end of the episode, in the last line, we learn that her boss - the Dayton corporation's CEO - has purchased the hospital, or will be the major shareholder, so he might try to be in charge in some way. So maybe they will keep Dr. Dupre? The next episode airs on Jan. 4, 2023.
  14. Remember this August 2020 interview with Greg Vaughan regarding his exit from DAYS which would be airing in Sept 2020 (His exit had already been filmed before the COVID pandemic shutdown began). GV said this as to why he had decided to leave: "I felt like a glorified extra in everybody else's storyline". "I didn’t feel like all of the things that were being told to me were being delivered. I felt like a glorified extra in everybody else’s storyline, and I never felt like Ari [Zucker, Nicole] and I were given a, “Hey, you’re going to be our couple.” So, it was time. My deal was over and that was it. They kept trying, right to my very last day, to keep me. [Co-Executive Producer] Albert [Alarr] pulled me aside and said, “Six more months. Give me six more months.” But the shape of the show, the direction of the show was kind of a little bit everywhere. The more and more I started to pull away, the more and more I felt that I wasn’t connected anymore. I didn’t feel that they had their eye on me in any way to grow with me." He says a lot more, that's just a few snippets. The whole thing is at this link: https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/icymi-greg-vaughan-eric-days-interview-2/ _________________________________________ The Day of Days fan event was Saturday November 12th, 2022. Many fans attended and also various members of the soap press interviewed the actors. Here is Michael Fairman interviewing Ari Zucker and Greg Vaughan at Day of Days, Nov. 2022. I didn't post it earlier because it seemed somewhat spoilerish. Now what they are describing is airing so there are no spoilers anymore. Greg Vaughan gives his thoughts about being given more in-depth story now and what he discussed with Ron about that. (This Nov. 2022 interview seems to follow up... on what he said in that 2020 interview about what he had been promised vs. being disappointed at being a glorified extra.) GV tells Michael Fairman that Eric and Nicole are leading characters. (He doesn't say *the* leads. I think his meaning was that Eric&Nicole are leading and not supporting characters, while there are other leading characters also.) GV gives in-depth insights into Eric going dark. And not being a priest anymore. Very interesting! It's twelve minutes long and worth watching the whole thing!
  15. When Carrie was a child and Sami&Eric were babies or toddlers, Anna had agreed to have Roman&Marlena raise Carrie -- and then Anna left town. Carrie thought of Marlena as a mother figure. DrakeRoman(John) raised Carrie, too, while Marlena was kidnapped/dead/etc. At least the John/Carrie bond is acknowledged -- John always seems like her father (and not JoshTaylorRoman). I loved the John/Carrie scenes in Beyond Salem One. John still calls Carrie "Pumpkin". They currently have Eric living upstairs above the pub - down the hall from Josh Taylor's Roman. Sometimes Eric interacts with Roman downstairs in the pub. I think the show is trying to *imply* that there is an Eric/Roman bond, but some of us viewers just don't see it -- I think Roman/Eric don't seem that close due to Josh Taylor being rather dull as Roman. Yes that would be interesting to learn.
  16. Eric was raised by John (when John was believed to be Roman). And and a little bit by Marlena's parents in Colorado). But mostly by RoJohn(Drake). There were all those periods when either WayneNorthrupRoman or Marlena were presumed dead. The same is true for Sami, except that she left Colorado early and came to Salem as a teen, while Eric remained in Colorado until adulthood. Eric should be closest to John, but they don't write him that way. Sami should *also* be closest to John but she got fixated on the John/Marlena affair she witnessed when she was a teen. I agree that the show has rarely (if ever) written any twin bond between Eric and Sami. They currently have Eric living upstairs above the pub - down the hall from Roman. Meanwhile Brady is living in the John&Marlena's place that apparently has a zillion bedrooms. Belle and Shawn live in Bo&Hope's house.
  17. Mishael Morgan was on "Chicago Med" last night (Dec. 7.). I posted the details in the "soap stars where are they now" thread at this link: https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/43846-soap-stars-where-are-they-now/?do=findComment&comment=1826989
