I have been waiting until you could resume watching again and -- would come begin to like Dixie! I knew it would happen eventually as the episodes and her character progressed. I remember when you posted your dislike back then -- but I appreciated it -- because it gave me a new perspective on how she might be perceived. I didn't have access to TV when Dixie first arrived on the scene -- but saw some stuff at friend's homes, or years later on Soapnet reruns. Not sure how I would have perceived her if watching her consistently from the start.

Yes Frakes did a recent interview in which he mentioned Genie working on her lines for a memorial service. He didn't give details, but from the timing it was obvious he was talking about the memorial for Monica Quartermaine, which would have taped but not yet aired at the time of his interview. Edit to add: Found it. Jonathan Frakes did a podcast on September 1st. The part about Genie, soaps memorization and doing things on a single take starts around 7 minutes in. At about 8 minutes in, Frakes says says about Genie: "I've seen yesterday's work for her was 88 pages she was in because it was a memorial service and she spoke on about 32 of them."
