So, Johnny and Chanel’s honeymoon getting interrupted was a total let down. And an out of character one, for that matter. I don’t get it. I somewhat understand stalling some storylines until the strike is over but I don’t understand why you would add more layers to some and do nothing for others. I wonder who made this decision. Thomas stealing John’s trigger card could be interesting though. And if it helps rid us of Konstantin, then I’m all for it. Maggie was smart today too, so I hope she continues to do that. Btw, green card marriages are still a thing?

Well, if he identifies as queer in real life, he’s definitely gonna be playing a gay/queer character. Ron would never have a gay/queer actor do straight for pay.

Finally, a Holly/Maggie scene… that was ruined by Konstantin. Guy is so totally unnecessary and I hope Maggie wakes up. This storyline, along with the rewrite, and the change between Ron’s writing and the scab writing has made it too convoluted. Same can be said for the Everett storyline. I’m still hoping he turns out to be a villain. That’s the only way that this storyline could make sense. As for Holly/nuTate, they do have chemistry. And I did kinda love it when Holly called him a dork 😊😂😂 Leo Howard plays Tate as a lot more laid back and easy going than Jamie Martin Mann did. But he did pretty well today. I do agree though that the Johnny part of their storyline did seem to end abruptly through. I don’t mind Holly realizing that she has feelings for Tate and getting over Johnny, but it happened way too quickly.

I could be wrong, but when I was rewatching 1986-1987 on YouTube, those final two weeks of the storyline were the only part that wasn’t included.

Maybe. I did hear that rumor too. I also heard that mid 1987 was the point where there were no more missing episodes, and that the end of the Sin Stalker storyline was missing.

The Kristen/Nicole fight was pretty good. It’s about time somebody told Kristen how awful her child is. That, along with Kristen possibly becoming the CEO of Dimera could be pretty interesting. Those are two good dynamics that should be used to drive storyline. And I’m glad that Jada/Stephanie finally made up. There’s no reason for their friendship to just dissolve into campy bitchfights. The two of them secretly working together to try to figure the truth about Bobby-Everett could be good. It’s still a little convoluted at this point. And that’s a hell no on a Bobby-Everett/Leo friendship.

There was a rumor going around that since there was so much turnaround the year before, mid 1987 was the easiest time for fans to jump right in and have a good understanding of the show, characters, etc.

Well, Drew and Nina… Something tells me that that wouldn’t have happened (or at least not happened for another year) if Chris and Dan had still been writing. But I don’t mind it. I appreciate how messy their encounter could make their storyline. And despite everything about the character of Drew and about Cameron Mathison, y’all can’t deny that Daddy is stacked 😍😍😂😂😂 Btw, where was Ava going with that Krystle Carrington haircut?
