Deadpool & Wolverine
Highest opening for an R rated film of all time too! I think the film has a good chance to join the $1bIllion club - the only other R rated movie in that club is Joker.

The Madonna Thread
She was getting ready to attend the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in NYC. Like A Prayer is used in the trailer, but also in an important sequence in the movie itself (which she gave music notes on). Ryan Reynolds has been telling a story during this entire press promotion of the movie about how he had to go to Madonna’s house and ask for permission to use the song, and how it was like asking royalty for something. Madonna doesn’t usually license her music to outside parties, so it was a rare thing that she said yes (particularly a song like Like A Prayer).

Disney+ X-Men'97
Marvel Studios is notorious for completely micromanaging and overhauling their projects in both pre-production and post-production. To varying degrees of success. Definitely not out of the ordinary for them, but definitely a wait and see as there isn’t too much out there to really judge the new show-runner on. In related news, Kevin Feige is making the rounds promoting Deadpool & Wolverine this week. He mentioned that they’re excited to finally tap into the more soap opera elements of the X-Men IP in live-action soon. He might not necessarily be a fan, but Feige does seem to have a shred of respect for soaps. Perhaps because his grandfather was Robert E. Short - who once oversaw soap operas for P&G as the Executive In Charge of Production.

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
The City’s production format should definitely be attempted again. It wasn’t the problem and the technical team did it well IMO. I would love it if The Gates uses a similar production format.

Aw, she really gave it her all and fought courageously. May she finally be at peace.

Disney+ X-Men'97
My guess is Beau's season 2 is currently going through the editing process before it gets animated and fully voiced-over. Since Beau was fired and not there to do any rewrites based on feedback from Disney/Marvel, his replacement is doing that tidying up work now.

Disney+ X-Men'97
He wasn’t the showrunner for What If’s two seasons that aired so far. He will be for the third season though. But I do think that’s a very different beast than this, so it’s more of just a wait and see, I think.
