Y&R: November 2024 Discussion Board
11-25 Lord have mercy. We were just talking about Justin Hartley and how his Adam was not obsessed with Sharon only for me to watch this episode and who does Adam run to when he's upset over Billy/Sally? SHARON. I can't. lol. Good start to this week for me. Oh, how JM got that sexy smile and a twinkle in his eye when Phyllis said he walked into a fire for her. I don't like Phick, but I liked that. And I continue to see ES's influence over how Phyllis was as she raged at Nick and Michael, but I still found her very restrained. YOU BETTA READ, VICTOR!!! Him saying to Sally that she needed to be careful because Billy gets power and don't know how to keep it was hilarious. And yes, I rewinded!!! God bless you Victor. Same. That said...I loved the Victor/Adam scenes and he was actually being a caring father as Adam was sitting there and trying to not explode at the sight of Billy/Sally. Yes! Another turn in the story. Thank you, Faith. That is all Sharon needs to prove she did not set Phyllis up. Now go tell Michael. The camera angles continue to be a good highlight.

ALL Soaps: Grade November Sweeps 2024
That's how I was feeling about Y&R. I almost went A- and went nope. Keep it real, Taoboi. lol. And I admit that I like all of that. Especially being right about Diane and Jack. Billy can go sit in the corner though. lol. If you don't mind me asking, why the grades on the foreign soaps? I am curious what they are doing right/wrong.

I was wondering if there was a post of something. I guess I missed it. I see. I guess time will tell if true.

I figured I would bump this to see if anyone knows if anyone had gotten cast in the room of Nate's half-brother yet.

ALL Soaps: Grade November Sweeps 2024
Now that we have reached the end of the month...how would you grade soaps for their November Sweeps this year? A B C D F THE ABYSS. For me... GH. A solid B. The month started with Sam's death and ended with Lulu waking up and walking about. While uneven in the writing, there was plenty of plot to hold my interest. And the fact that I'm completely caught up...so rare with me and GH hehe...speaks for itself. Turning in Monday due to all those cliffhangers which were all great. Y&R. B+ Ed Scott's return lit (pun unintended ) up that show and it shows in the designs, camera angles, peoples' view, just about everything BUT the writing. We got a wedding, a car crash, and flashbacks. And NONE of it looked cheap...other than unnecessary CGI. Right now, it is hindered only by the writing which has too many misses for my taste. Very 'you are only noticed because you look pretty' vibes. B&B. D. I look forward to GH and Y&R more than I look forward to this show. It's just gotten too silly even though there are good moments. I liked Will/Electra. And the start of the stalker storyline with them. I love seeing more Carter though I know why that is. But there was NOTHING really going on to sink my teeth into this November where months ago we had crazy Luna and plots rotating. Sorry. DAYS. Currently not watching. So...YOU?

GH: November 2024 Discussion Thread
11-27 You know what? Credit where credit is due. Perhaps it's the shortened week, but I felt the show stuck the landing and this was a great week to close out November Sweeps. Even with the flaws (the side-eye I gave Molly for coddling Kristina again, the propping of Kristina by Natalia), I felt this week had great A stories with Lulu Awakens and Ava's trial. And a C plot with all the Michael adjacent plot with Sasha. And this episode where Ava's trial has been B plot, I loved that it rotated with the Lulu Awakens storyline which has been a solid A plot. It goes without saying that I love Laura and everyone here knows I love Laura. And when PM was in charge, my top wish was that her children (Lucky, Lulu, and yes I'm holding out for Nikolas at some point) would come home so she would be the anchor she was always meant to be. And have more storyline to boot. So I didn't like how they fumbled the heck out of Lucky's return storyline. Of course, I was worried about Lulu's return storyline. I know I've said this for the last week and I will say it now. I'm extremely shocked at how invested I am in Lulu's storyline. AB has been an awesome recast and, for me, is lifting the material. She IS Lulu. And even this episode with all the goofy near-misses. I thought I would hate it but in hindsight, it really felt like old school soap. And thankfully (for now) not stretched out over a month. Just the right amount of pacing. My highlight was her meeting James. I knew it was coming, but those scenes came out better than I expected. But I think that's because the writing for James has been so good this year that I actually care about him as well. And him cluing Maxie and Spin in to who he saw while Lucky and Liz saw the video while Lulu FINALLY ran into a member of her immediate family in Rocco, her son, was all pretty Friday cliffhangers!! I might actually watch live-ish on Monday. Speaking of Lucky and Liz, I thought their team-up was off to a good start. I thought RH did a great job even with my worries that she might fade into the background. She picked the right moments to be in the background, but found the moments in the scenes to let Liz be center in the scenes as well. Meanwhile, JJ was great as Lucky. FINALLY, no whining or trying to run away. Lucky being there for his family!! Which brings me to Lucky vs Cyrus. Cyrus read him down. Lucky needed to hear that and if spite will keep him in town when his son won't...so be it. Hope they have a rematch in exactly one month. And that's a conflict that I look forward to seeing as Laura tries to balance her old family with the discovery of her new family members. It writes itself. Ava's trial went to B plot. Oh, Ric...my Ric...he did so well. Hehe at Alexis getting kicked out of court. I did wonder why Natalia was there. And once it turned out she was a witness, I went oooh. But then it turned into a prop session and I zoned out. Just too much Kristina propping going on for my taste, but the scenes were still good. I fully expect Ava to walk and Kristina to either have a meltdown or a breakdown and go after her. I may not care for Sasha at the moment, but I do like that without Michael anywhere in sight, they are keeping his plot active through her. And I loved the scenes with her and Maxie. I wonder if Maxie will figure it out first that the babydaddy is Michael. Great week. I can see that. Wardrobe really does matter. HAPPY THANKSGIVING, MY FELLOW LOVER OF THE BREN!

Indeed. For his sake, he better had not done anything too terrible.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
SLC So everyone knows, next week, SLC moves to an hour EARLIER to make way for SoldonSLC. I fully expect it to increase the ratings since the majority of HW shows are 8 pm are doing better than the 9 pm HW shows. I hate to say it, but I did my rewatch of the SLC Dinner Party from HELL and you know what...same. lol. I always pick on her and never call her by her name, but I think I actually am starting to like her thirsty tail, too. lol. I mean...coming for a whole cast is MAJOR. And I like her taste in men. And unless Natalie when she auditioned on RHOA S6, Britani did not fade into the background at the end when the cast came for her.

All this is going to do is guarantee Frank recasts him...well-timed with the discussion on the main thread. Frank after all can be petty.

I didn't like the abruptness of Scotty vanishing. Apparently neither did KS. That said, I hope this does not turn into a case of Doug Davidson.
