  1. I don't know what is about Joe Gallison, but he looks so different to me during his time on AW than when he appeared on Days. He was aged 29-35 on AW and 39-56 on Days. He seemed to look younger in later life. Almost like a different person.
  2. Yes. She was screaming her lungs out and shut Missy down when she tried to be the peace maker. There is also some great audio when Bill is tearing into Liz about her mistreatment of Missy.
  3. When I see those 60's articles for AW, it makes me wish someone would unearth some more footage from that era. We have some bits of audio and that 1968 wedding, but that's about it. There has to be something sitting in a warehouse, attic, basement, private collection out there. I would really flip if it's color footage. Listening to those audio bits, boy Liz (as played by Audra Lindley) was a psycho. She gave everyone a hard time, especially Bill and Missy. Rachel (Robin Strasser) as we know was a piece of work and her scheming to keep Steve from Alice apart drove the show to the top of the ratings. I'm grateful to hear those audio clips, but I can tell the original recorder was mainly trying to get the music cues, which explains the choppy edits of scenes.
  4. That is a rare promo from the mini series. Thanks for finding that.
  5. There have been stories and rumors over the years on the net that she was difficult behind the scenes, but I don't know if that is true or not. There is very little of her work that survives. I saw the 1968 episodes of the wedding of Walter & Lenore with her and Joe Gallison (Bill). I read that when she went on Somerset in 1970 they wanted Joe Gallison to join the cast with her, but he could not get out of contract with OLTL, so they killed Bill off. I wish some of her time on AW and Somerset would surface.
  6. Thanks for the Carl Roux interview. I heard it back when it was originally uploaded on WOST. Carol seems so shy and reserved and a bit out of it. It was interesting that she mentioned Bill Bell was so nice to her and wanting her to work for him again. It sounds like he wanted to use her on Y&R in the 80's. She said she could not bring herself to act anymore.
  7. LOL @ The Grass Roots. I do know who they are even though they were a bit before my time. Carol came across as a true 60's hippie chick in those old articles. I remember that early 2000's interview she to with WOST and seemed a bit....out of it and a recluse. She said looking back she did not realize how good looking Joe Gallison was and was kicking herself for it. I don't think she did any more acting after Somerset in 1970. There was that video of on youtube where it is supposedly her playing a nun, but some say it's not her.
  8. Yes. There was a woman's voice on the phone and tried to figure out who it might be. Then nothing came of it. Another Y&R story is when Lorie showed up Victor & Nikki's wedding in 1984 and wanted get together with Ashley on a project or something......it was dropped.
  9. On Dallas they implied that Wes Parmalee was really Jock Ewing then they dropped it as a hoax. Also after Pam's car crash, Katherine shows up in Pam's room, Pam disappears and Katherine is never seen or referred to again. Y&R.....Wasn't there some sort of storyline with Jonas and Lucas saving orphans in South America that was dropped ? There was also the unexplained conclusion of Liz Foster's marriage to Stuart Brooks.
  10. Thanks for the recaps. I would love to see the footage from these all these shows. We got see the Y&R episode where Liz Foster pulls the plug on Bill and Snapper finding out. GL: Justin Marler seemed to be a bit of a shady character circa 1976, but by the 1977 & 1979 episodes we saw uploaded, he was a good guy. I remember Cindy Pickett said her character Jackie Marler was originally written as a " Rich Bit*h", but the Dobson's softened her by the time Phillip and The Spaulding's arrived in 1977. Unfortunately most of 70's GL has been wiped.
  11. Lenore Kasdorf (Rita) co-stars with Victoria Principal (Pamela Ewing DALLAS) in a 1973 episode of Love American Style.
  12. Did you watch all the shows back then ? If so, how did you manage when shows were on opposite each other ? All the shows seemed to be on fire back then with a few exceptions. I remember you talking about Y&R blew you away with how it looked compared to the other soaps.
  13. What was the first soap to show a sex scene or 2 people in bed together ? I recall seeing in one of the Doctors reruns from around 1968 or 69 where Matt & Maggie had some afternoon delight. I don't think they showed anything racy if I recall correctly. Matt was shirtless and I think Maggie was in her slip. They also showed her making up the bed after. I think Y&R pushed the envelope with the characters of Snapper Foster and Lorie Brooks in the 70's
  14. I would love to see a decent chat with all the old school Dallas actors including Victoria Principal & Mary Crosby in the mix. An old school Days chat with Susan Flannery, Bill Hayes, Susan Hayes, Maree Cheatham, Heather North etc.... An old school Y&R chat with Jamie Lyn Bauer, Janice Lynde, Trish Stewart, Pamela Peters, William Gray Espy, James Houghton, Brenda Dickson, Robert Colbert, John McCook, Tom Ligon
  15. Y&R: Erica Hope's Nikki married to Victor. Lilibet Stern as crazy Patty with the dead stuffed cat.
  16. As Dan Stewart with Kathryn Hays as Kim and Larry Bryggmann as John.
  17. I recently discovered that Sherilyn Fenn aunt is 70's rocker Suzi Quatro. Quatro is best known to U.S. audiences as Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days and her 1979 hit Stumblin In. Quatro was really popular in the UK. Many artist copied her style like Heart and Joan Jett.
  18. Y&R: I felt the 2003 return of Snapper & Greg was a bit off. James Houghton (Greg) came across as sarcastic and catty and William Gray Espy seemed to go through the motions. When Jamie Lynn Bauer returned the first time. They had her getting divorced from a character we did not care about and they de-clawed her. She was whining how she wished she had married Victor years earlier etc...stroking Eric Braeden's ego.
  19. I agree. I also have never understood why the show ha never brought back Brooks Prentiss. Instead we get all this re-written history to usher in new characters.
  20. Janice Lynde (Leslie) and Jaime Lyn Bauer's (Lorie) return on Y&R was awkward as well. Janice barely had any lines.
  21. What characters/ actors that returned years later (sometimes decades) that came across awkward or cringe worthy ? I just saw some uploads of when Karen Lynn Gorney returned in the role of Tara on AMC in the 90's. She seemed a few beats behind her replies and had trouble remembering lines. They also had her made up to look matronly. David Hasselhoff and Wings Hausers return to Y&R was also cringe worthy.
  22. Sean Garrison who played John Abbott in the 1980 episode with Bond Gideon in a Love American Style Episode circa 1970.
  23. Between 1967 - 1984 she has around 30 movie, TV and self guest appearance credits. She stopped acting around 1984. By 1989 she was writing for Guiding Light. I assume she only played Cathy Craig during early 1969, by 1970 the role was recast. I remember seeing her in a rerun of Love American Style. She was hilarious as wife who gets addicted gambling on her wedding night and leaves her husband to play at the craps table.
