Yeah, I guess Doug does age her, but it is a shame because you feel like you missed out on things Doug/Julie could have done during those years. But the show did change a lot in tone over those years so maybe not. It's also weird they never got their own child. Anyhow, I am not sure Days couldn't have backtracked on her aging a bit the way the kept Laura, Marlena, Kate, even Maggie vaguely in their 40's and 50's for years.

I am not particularly attached to either character/actress. Watch they kill off Belle.

I had a very hard time believing it was Ciara because I can't imagine the show would kill off two Bo/Hope kids. And Zach's death seems actually permanent. But Chelsea emerged from a swamp after she was a stillborn at like 5 months so who knows? Abby is another character I have a hard time believing because Days does seem pretty invested in her.

The show did Susan dirty as far as that. Her child being aged, Hope being aged, Doug being older...Julie does read older. A lot of it is 80's styling but when I realized she is only 4 years older than Deidre Hall my mind was blown. I am not saying SSH looks bad, but she seems like an entirely different generation than Marlena, Roman, John et all and she's not much older. The show at that time also made Doug/Julie seem like old, crotchety parents who wouldn't let 'their' daughter have fun. They easily could have let it all blow over, but they weren't wrong about what they were saying. I can only imagine how disrespectful that felt to the Hayes after carrying the show for years.

Lol! I didn't think I was invested in Nancy and Craig at all until this. I don't think the actors have amazing chemistry or a love story for the ages or anything, but they did have fans. And they did have an unconventional story and it was fine. I don't think anyone was asking for Nancy/Craig angst lol. Idk, it just that Chad, for example, would never come out as gay even though BF would probably kill that and his new career as a drag queen lol. And Chad has had more homoerotic scenes than Craig ever has. But I digress... This can be a good story it just is shi**ing on another good story I guess.

I think RoJohn used to have that depth and it may have been implied about him. When Deidre Hall left every single RoJohn love interest was some sort of damsel in distress and he was rescuing them from bad situations. I recently saw a scene on twitter where Sami tells Marlena about all the women John was with when she was a kid and she sort of says that exact thing about him being restless once they were saved. But let's be honest does John really have an identity these days outside of being a hero and in love with Marlena? I can tell you a lot about Marlena and her characteristics but John not so much. I love John and Drake but John really hasn't been a complex character since he got back together with Marlena. I am not complaining and this an entirely different topic, but John's character only does things in reaction to Marlena. He does very little on his own.

I do think Trina/Spencer is where the show is going it's just taking a while and it's lost its momentum some what. All the teens are decent and I think SM and WL are a cut above, but I have trouble seeing any of them leading the show in the way it was obvious KMc or JJ could immediately. I think you could tell someone like SBu was very capable even when Jason Q was a bore. Even if Vanessa was a green actress in the beginning you could tell she was a star in about 5 scenes. Eden McCoy has been leading stories for several years now and the fact is she's just bland. I think EM would work much better in a supporting role and Trina should be the lead, but I think that's the general consensus of this entire board lol.

I said my piece about this enough on here, but my problem is with the couple not the story. Let's be real, people have been side-eyeing this couple forever and of course he's gay. It was never real! This story would just never happen to a younger, sexier couple and it rubs me the wrong way. To be honest I wasn't overly curious about what Nancy and Craig were up to. I am more curious about Joy and Parker. I think it would be one thing if Nancy/Craig were consistently on the canvas and this played out over a period of time, but they have off screen for years. It just feels like it cheap and for shock value, but that's Ron and here we are.

100%. Trina is much better and more interesting than Joss. Could be. My sister was diagnosed with Celiac's disease and she lost a lot of weight because it's just so limiting on what you can eat. Yeah. They should have checked on her. It just really wasn't something that I noticed or bothered me, so I was curious why it was bothering others.

I get what you are saying 100% but I don't think Joss/Cam would ever be sidelined just because of their parents. These teens are the most boring teens on the planet, but i do think a lot of trina's issues are due to SM's non contract situation. Idk,I Iike Trina and think she's a find but no one on the teen scene gives me a future star vibe like Kim, Vanessa, Steve, Michael Sutton, Cari Shayne, Amber Tamblyn, JJ did. They are all fair and middling to me and I know that's unpopular. But I think the audience is searching for the next brenda, carly, robin so anything that is mildly good is a find.

Do you really think it's an optic and tonal issue? I am not trying to be combative or rude but just want more clarity on it from your view. I just think its drunk kids being stupid and like our friend is sleeping in the other room and okay. I don't expect them to sit by her bedside or anything.

Okay. I can buy that but poor Nancy and her awful wig can only take so much more humiliation 🤣 But then again Days and murder mysteries don't really turn out that satisfying.

I would hate to see Nancy go from a gay, cheating husband to an abuser. And from his Grandma Marlena jokes I think Ray values physical appearance a lot still..

I mean I agree someone should check on Trina, but they are teens. The world's most boring teens but I have definitely left people to sleep it off in the other room if they were too drunk-and I was drinking too. They have no reason to believe she was drugged. It's not great friendship, but that is believable in context to their age.

Agreed. I remember cutie fire starter Cam. I am not a fan of Joss/Cam but thank goodness they are actually acting like teens. I have never seen a teen set so 'pure'. Brenda/Jagger were banging on nurse's office desks at school 30 years ago. Karen was stripping. Even Robin had sex at like 15. These teens were so unlike any teens in the real world I am glad they finally had sex just so that's over with lol. And I sometimes I am really stunned how much EM looks like LW. It's not in every scene but at certain angles she is exactly what I would imagine Carly/Jax's kid would look like.

She looks so much younger. I hope I look like that at 76. And I was just suggesting she come back to GH. Girl has earned her retirement. I still want her back at GH, but it ages me just watching it so I wouldn't want her having to run it lol.

I mean, obviously, it's not the norm for a couple to have that disparity in looks/physique/whatever on a soap. Not that I don't think PD isn't attractive or anything, but KS is a very good looking guy. But I got onboard with Craig loves Nancy and everything about her because that what was shown onscreen. I could maybe buy Nancy keeping her head in the sand about this because she was so happy she had a hot husband, but that's not Nancy. She was confident, secure, funny, intelligent and never cared about what people said. These are fictional characters but to make Nancy's whole romantic life a lie really sucks for her. That's devastating. Whether Craig is gay or bi or whatever he owed his life partner (who I assume he does love) the respect of telling her he was confused or attracted to men because he obviously didn't wake up at 55 one day to being gay. I have no problem with this particular story being told but it really does [!@#$%^&*] on 2 characters that were fine as is. This feels like a story for shock value more than an organic story and I don't think we are going to get much of Nancy's POV. Could you imagine being 55, 60 whatever age Nancy is supposed to be and starting over in the romance department? That would be an interesting story, but we know the story is going to be Craigs wacky hijinks with Leo or some [!@#$%^&*]

No worries. I just thought you were saying everyone that liked Nancy and Craig were regular women having fantasies. And true to life my husband of 15 years is on the bigger size and sometimes people ask me why I am with him, so that's a little triggering for me. Looks aren't everything...but that wig still needs an intervention

That's seems very rude. Not directing that at you specifically. I am a slim white women that appreciated that representation. But of course people will think its fat housewives🙄

I don't know. I don't want to offend anyone but I find this story soooo disappointing. Not because Craig's gay. That's fine. But because I really liked what Nancy and Craig represented. They were were a love story that went beyond looks and it's seems demeaning to end it this way. Not because of Craig's journey which should be told, but because of what they previously represented. Listen, they suddenly wouldn't make John or Steve gay. It feels cheap to make Nancy the patsy on this not knowing her husband was gay for like 75% of her life and also because she is regular size. Craig can go out and find a foxy man, but Nancy gets left with the wreckage. It feels a little gross. I may not be saying this right but it just makes me feel for Nancy and her bad wig lol. It just feels like of course the heavy girl's hot husband was gay all along. Half the cast of Days bings all the time as gay/bi/fluid and they make it about this couple.🙄
