DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
TB has always been my personal favorite Carly. She had the best chemistry with MB and I liked her portrayal. SJB is great too and LW has grown on me I guess. I just think TB is capable of a lot more than cooking Italian food and losing her sh*t over stupid Rafe. Very true. Both Ciara and Zach could not physically be Bo's until they were and I don't think it's that big of a deal. John/Marlena have multiple children by other people, but it seems women in particular on this show can't if they are part of a supercouple

The only reason I want more for Ava is because TB is awesome and can do a lot. My favorite Carly for sure. Clyde is whatever for me too. I am intrigued by him and Nancy, but I would be fine with Nancy getting a nice love interest pretty much anywhere lol.

No worries. I just still think Jan and Evan for that matter could be given more and have a chance to be more long term. They could be a fun scheming new couple. To me they aren't dead end characters like Ava or Clyde who got a second chance.

I get where you are coming from, but I genuinely do think Jan has potential. She has years of history, an interesting backstory and trauma, a charismatic actress, and (until the last year) hasn't been played out. There are a lot of things you could transition her into even if she never truly gets over Shawn. Jan could be a real character if Ron put half as much work into her as he did Ben. I am not saying we ignore Jan's crimes, but seeing her get over her obsession and move on wouldn't be the worst story for me. They need to build up that Belle/Shawn/Chloe/Brady etc age group because the show has so much reliance on its older vets.

I have asked this question for YEARS!! He doesn't care about real Roman and he's the one who killed Orpheus's wife. I don't think there has ever been an explanation and they seemed to have just added that to John's backstory. It's probably too hard to explain. I am not sure Orpheus's endgame. He isn't a super villian. His target was Roman and his family because of his wife's death. He wasn't a crazy lunatic. He was a good guy gone bad. Even Stefano at his worst, most cartoonish had a specific goal or endgame for his plans even if it just was to destroy the Bradys/John or make Marlena his queen. 🤣. The whole Jan/Evan thing might be a round about way to screw with John/Marlena via their child, but it seems like a lot of work and planning to pull this whole scheme off when the only reaction is that a handful of people are a little bummed about it lol. Anyway, I actually do think Jan could work on the canvas without Shawn. I would be willing to give HL a shot to do something else. I mean, a serial killer is our leading man so...... I had to laugh at the dress Jack and Jen picked out. A beautiful prarie maxi dress from Free People bought at Nordstrom Rack. LITERALLY. It is very Marci Miller's Abby though I guess. I am just not sure that oversized piece of endless cloth would wow anyone let alone her husband.🤣 The acting was much better for CM and MA today though. JJ and Chad were good as well.

I actually like both Jan and Orpheus. I think they are both good villians. Honestly, like @te.stated, if they were allowed to scheme at a slow pace and snow people around town saying they've changed or what not without the OTT ridiculousness I think they both would be good. It's probably way too late for Orpheus now, but I generally thought in 1986 he was a much scarier villian than Stefano going after RoJohn. I wouldn't be sad if he left, but it's a shame a really good villian was ruined. I think there is still hope for Jan. If she layed off the obvious, cartoonish schemes against Shawn and Belle and integrated with people around town and perhaps entered a new romance she has a chance. I like Jan and the actress. Even if Shawn was the end goal if Jan had a few more layers I think she would work as a long term villian.

There is no real point to make Evan the father of the baby unless perhaps it's somehow Belle's egg. That would vaguely make sense in the overall Orpheus scheme to get revenge on John/Marlena I guess. It would have been much more interesting if Evan wasn't "found" out and was just a regular member of society causing harm unbeknownst to most of the town like you said. What's Evan going to do from jail? Lol. Break out for the 100th time? JER could do arcs. Ron just does plot points for shock.

I am annoyed they took the easy way out with this Shawn/Belle/Jan stuff. It had potential for years worth of drama. Do Ciara or Ben really have any experience sailing? I am sure Ciara is fine, but sailing isn't exactly the easiest thing to learn for Ben and they have a newborn lol. I love how the show absolutely did not follow up on the Rafe/Nicole/Eric stuff, but did follow up the Belle/Sami/EJ/Lucas scenes. The Sami et all stuff could have theoretically all happened a few hours or a few episodes later, but I guess Eric/Rafe/Nicole are just chatting in the hall while all this is happening lol.

I actually thought John/Chad was better than Marlena/Chad. Marlena can tend to be so clinical with this stuff. John talking about Isabella was much more effective in those scenes.

I know! And he looks at them daily in public-like can you forget 5 names? I could understand if it was some Tony/Andre like manifesto where he explicitly stated why he hated John and how he was going to frame him for his own "suicide" in the world's most elaborate plot. That was cool! But this is just Leo staring at names🤣 I think CB's airtime has been significantly decreased after her leaving/that contract dispute a few years ago. I think CB bailed when less airtime was offered and then COVID hit and she took Days back up on the offer. It's been a steady decline IMO for awhile now. Even if the airdates she has had disagree with me-she really hasn't had much story.

I liked today's episode. I liked Chad/John/Marlena and the kids. I do think it's weird Jack and Jen aren't there, and John/Marlena are around instead, but the scenes themselves were quite nice. The EJ/Belle/Sami/Lucas stuff was pretty good and I actually was shocked Nicole and Rafe got married so quickly. All in all, decent episode. @Noel Do we think Leo just writes down his revenge names on a page of his journal everyday? I mean, it's got a lot of pages. Maybe he wakes up everyday and re-writes them down to occupy time.🤣

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
No worries! I figured you meant me. I would agree what Brandi said to Taylor and about her situation on her first season on RHOBH was bizarre and completely out of line. I kept waiting for Brandi to clarify the season was hard for her because of her own personal issues, but she was making Taylor/Russel about herself? Completely disrespectful talk, but I think Brandi was completely black out drunk. Here's the thing about Brandi-I don't think she's evil or calculating. I think she deeply insecure and anxious about things and drinks/uses substances to excess and starts saying crazy, out of line stuff. This isn't to defend her words or actions completely, but I suspect Brandi's a very different person when she's stone cold sober. I think many of the ladies came on here with a very clear agenda to get back on their housewives show and it's obvious. Eva and maybe Taylor seem like the only two pretty content without it. I think it's also clear Tamra/Vicki came in to immediately be at war with Brandi and gain a willing Taylor on their side and figured everyone would fall in line and that's what bothers me. Brandi will most likely sabotage herself. It was the fact those two were deliberately trying to set her up that put me more on Brandi's side. Anyhow, I really liked the first few episodes more than the Original season. It just feels so much less fake and Phaedra is still hilarious!

Two DAYS Actors Out
It was with very little fanfare. I think she tried dating Shawn and then Shawn reunites with Belle and Lani....just left town. Then she...just came back one day and starting dating J.J. and has been in Salem ever since.🤣

Two DAYS Actors Out
She's left before. With the way Days films she may already be back, so it didn't even have time to leak.🤣

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I actually think all these women are more entertaining than the OG Girl's Trip. I think the pressure is off these women now and they can just let loose since they have already been fired. I liked all of them though (including Brandi) so it might be more appealing to me alone I definitely thought Eva was going to be the weak link but she's not at all. Maybe RHOA was too many overpowering personalities for her in that setting? She's reminding me now why I loved her on America's Next Top Model so much. I actually do think Tamra and Vicki were waiting to jump on Brandi. I know Brandi sets herself up, but everyone being so up in arms about her saying b**ch and Shut the eff is not that big of a deal and the way she has always spoken. I think it was clear when Brandi was sitting at the table at dinner wanting everyone to go around and ask questions about their seasons and was immediately shot down. If anyone else ask that-it would have been fine. Idk, I don't think Brandi is a victim exactly, but it's clear Tamra/Vicki did have an aim to try to turn everyone against her.

It's so weird to bring Greg Vaughn back and not use him. This is why he left the first time. He has a lot of things he could do besides mooning over Nicole. Eric shares scenes with people, but he's just not involved in an actual story. Listen, after the Devil and the way Johnny/Allie treated her as the devil, I would high tail it out of town or find someone who's never met a Horton or Brady. She could always take up with Theo again since they do nothing with him either. Or a returned J.J.

DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
Honestly the whole story would have been better with EJ instead of Rafe. From a psychological standpoint Nicole thinking EJ is what she deserves. Rafe is an idiot with mostly horrible taste in women, but he's a good guy and not that much different than Eric with his moral values. She's basically switching from one guy who judges her for her mistakes to another similar one. 🤣 Agree with all those that are disliking the writing for Chanel/Allie/Johnny. The twins bicker and Chanel is visibly uncomfortable over it all. At this point she might as well leave town with Tripp.
-
DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
I think I'm overthinking it. Nicole spent months pining over Rafe because she loved him so much. Now it's back to Eric, but you are correct. It's better than the obstacle being someone in a mask or burned alive in a warehouse lol. Agreed. Marlena's penthouse had depth and two levels and a balcony so you knew there were places/rooms you didn't see. I frankly can't even figure out where the kitchen would be in Marlena's townhouse-let alone multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. What do they do when all the occupants are home? There isn't even enough seating for all of them in the living room, possibly not even enough standing room lol.

DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
Quite a unique journey you would not think happens in the world more than once let alone on a soap twice lol. I think Eric would be well suited to be a counselor or something. It seems to fit his experience and it runs in the family-and it would take away the fact that I think it's nearly impossible for someone to jump in and out of the priesthood the way Eric does.🤣
-
DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
I honestly don't know what Eric does for a living outside of being a priest. I know he was a photographer, but I thought he just sorta helped people around town lol. At least Eric lives at the Pub for free and is not another boarder in John/Marlena's apparently enormous townhouse. Again I really don't mind Eric/Nicole as a couple, but nothing has changed for them to make this relationship work except Eric being physically in Salem. It's not anywhere near the worst thing happening on the show, but I actually am invested in these two characters and it's all very, very lazy.
-
DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
My problem with Eric/Nicole is that the fundamental issue they broke up over (the fact that Nicole has to pretend to be a better person than she is to meet Eric's expectations) hasn't changed. Eric just decided he wants her back now. The same issues are still there. There is no major growth from either of them. The only difference is Greg Vaughn is on the show lol. I like Eric and Nicole fine. It's just nothing hasn't happened to make me believe this time will have a different outcome. What an odd assortment of characters at the wedding who were going to swear to never tell that Lani killed Ray. Some of those people have never even spoken to Lani!!🤣

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
I always wondered why Austin was so passive about custody of Will. His argument to Carrie is just basically that would be mean because Sami gave birth to him. She drugged and raped you Austin and actively tries to destroy her own sister (your fiancé). It wouldn't be hard for Austin to get primary custody IMO. Obviously he's not the father but we didn't know that then. I don't know why I loved this story so much. It's so stupid and so is Austin. CC is really natural onscreen even as a child. I don't think she's the best actress, but she's very good with her screen partners and very likable.

People like Kristen, Diana and Orpheus weren't mentioned for years and years and they were brought back. Peter being gone for a long time doesn't necessarily deter me. They mention he exists and is part of the Dimera family. I think it's strange he hasn't been brought back especially with how close he was with Kristen.

GENERAL HOSPITAL June 2022 Discussion Thread
Listen, he's a good looking guy and in great shape, but is he skipping some leg days at the gym? Why are they so skinny Ha Ha! Does Julie Berman even still act? I thought she was pushed to high heaven for years and given way too much screen time and love interests, but I'd take her back in a heartbeat. As far as Lucky it's a noticeable problem. I think they are waiting for JJ but it's silly for the role to just be empty and Lucky to be absent for years and years.

DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
I am open to Jason or a recast. I think Peter is someone who needs to be on canvas. Maybe not full time, but at the very least in and out. I think there is so much possibility there although EJ probably fills a similar role.
