I don't necessarily think Maxie and Georgie's real names are stupid just the nicknames. And Georgie isn't even that bad. I really think Maxie is just a ridiculous nickname that was possibly cute as a child, but not a name for an adult person. Agreed. I don't know which writer thought Maxie was cute (Labine?), but Mariah is a much prettier name. It's not just Maxie-I think Belle is an idiotic nickname for Isabella on Days as well. That's just weird to have two characters introduced at the same time that heavily interacted to have the same name. Although I can't recall when we found out Sonny's real name. It was a bit later. Then to introduce Mike and name a kid Michael. Enough! Michael is a common name. My dad and brother are named Michael, but it's strange the show had so many Michaels in a 5 year period. I'll go on record saying I hate the name Louise, but the names Georgie and Maxie are stupid too, so I expect nothing less from her. I have never met a Maxie in real life. It's not a name it's a feminine hygiene product.

I haven't seen that 'story' since it aired and I don't think I was watching Days that frequently, but I did think it was going somewhere. IIRC, they even used old flashbacks of her radio show and the Stalker calling her. Although I am not sure if it was leading to Hattie and the fact that Samantha was killed by Jake, but it really went nowhere. Even though Hattie has reappeared a million times-the initial Hattie story just died out lol. I mean how many options does Liz have to perform in Salem? Health Club opening it is. It is awkward she just has a microphone and is in the middle of the room jamming out, but, again, Don was digging it. I figured. I just thought she was married to Tony before Salem, but I think Liz's love life is so convoluted you would have to do a deep dive wiki search to figure it out.

I don't believe Jamie Walters and Tori Spelling ever dated. He was the lead on the very brief Spelling show "The Heights" and made his way over to 90210 shortly after it was cancelled. I don't think JW was destined for a long, famous music and TV career, but it had to hurt his career significantly. I think Ray could have been redeemed without making Donna look dumb. She didn't have to go back to him. He could have existed outside of that relationship. It was clear they were angling something long term with Ray because JW appeared in the credits for so long and barely appeared on screen after the abuse story.

That's fair. I agree. I don't think anyone likes this new Possession and I didn't even like the original one. I'd rather revisit Stefano's underground kingdom in Paris than this. My only issue is that the Strangler story was so important to Roman/Marlena's story that unless we get Wayne back I don't want to see it. I know John can play the Roman role, but Roman/Marlena fans have so few nice things, you know?

Marlena's hair is hideous and it looked so good before the cut. I think someone on some board told me that Dee was going for the Princess Diana look, which I guess that is sorta of what it is, but DH looks like a 50 year old school teacher* with that hair. That hair doesn't right itself for a long time either. I would assume Marlena would be part of this Sarenee stuff. There are truly only a handful of characters that even knew Renee, so there isn't much choice on that. Could you imagine a revisit of the Salem strangler?
