This was a very risk taking story...I wish that the scene with Marion almost being attacked had been explored more...to have him understand on some level that what he did to Lucy was wrong. Good idea of a story that went on shock instead of being a character study. So I'd love to hear from all 3 actors about this story

Potomac, OC, and to a lesser extent NJ..none of them are afraid to show the dirt with the shine. It's why Shannon and Kelly are so fascinating on OC because they show everything...same with Tamra in the early years.

I would she gave Santana a good exit..breaking free of the Capwells at last. Plus, she created Lisa...a great vixen in training.

I thought the Laura Simmons story had an interesting start, but I think it got hurt by the writers strike..so who knows how it would have gone.

Only Catherine Hickland is a must see on that one.

Love of life: an action packed October 1975....the bigamist plot was a huge umbrella story. I am intrigued with the Eddie/van dancing while Bruce part. It would have been messy had that been pursued given that Eddie and Meg were formally married. The Felicia story is also intriguing. Guiding Light: Rita debuted it appears. And it seems like Mike/leslie were the tentpole couple while Ed had the angst with Holly. it appears that Peggy was Roger's chance at redemption.

Do they show the women in their day to day lives...or just hanging out getting drunk?

Either 2nd season curse of believing your hype..or the more rare season 3 where they give you a bad edit and/diminish you (Shannon on OC and Heather on NY)

I always wonder had the Dobson's stayed beyond December 1979..how they would have resolved their stories. Would the Philip paternity story been revealed earlier than 1983? Would the rita and alan affair have happened? Would Holly/ed/rita play out differently? Would Diane have been murdered? Lastly, the Ms Wexler story..how would it have concluded? She seemed hell bent on killing Ben lol

I always thought Palmer and Erica had a more father/daughter relationship...while her friendship with Opal helped. I didn't realize Nina and Erica were friendly..Nina was a bridesmaid at Erica's aborted prison wedding to Jeremy..plus Nina visited Erica a few times when Erica was pregnant with Bianca

I miss the days when the housewives went to places on their own. It was more authentic to me.

This is why OC works.. because they tend to shake the cast up season to season.. so people don't become attached. I'm crossing my fingers Vicki/Tamra stay gone.. cause Kelly/Shannon would be enough to drive the show for awhile long. NY needs a reboot... I'm still in shock that Lea is in her 30s since she looks at least 50ish.

If my best friend wanted to do a reality show and wanted me to join...I'd decline unless I was ready to say good bye to our friendship. Marriages and friendships have a hard time surviving on shows like this

I think it was in the few months of the show is when he was killed off. There was conflict between him and Jo regarding his mother interfering so much.

SBH would probably have greater detail and recall on her OLTL experience over her ATWT..which only spanned about a year 35 years ago. I have seen her in interviews, and she reminds me of Shannon on ATWT...quirky and eccentric.

Wow, Robert Cenedella did a lot on GL during his stint it appears... Peggy/roger...holly/roger/ed...ed/Janet/Ken (he wrote the Ken shooting book Ed story). I always figured some of that were the Dobson's.

I think this is either the 1st episode..or one of the first episodes. And I think we see Patti's dad before he is killed off in this episode.

Lyla had a personality!?!? Did Marland zap away her personality? While it isn't perfect, this episode had a multi generational feel...with veterans front and center.

There were some summer 1985 where Finn Carter is more relaxed. Lily in the summer of 1985 had friends and had a cute romance with Dusty. All before the arrival of the dreaded Snyder's. Only character from that group that fit was Iva.

It would be nice to have some sober women on NY. NY was known for witty putdowns from all the women. Now we have more drinking than clever wit.

I liked the episode, it was entertaining and had an energy that is was missing from the Marland era after 1987.

I haven't watched NY as much this season...but does the show still show the women on their own..or is it always group scenes? All they seem to do is drink and fight. And I thought Leah was almost 50..not still in her 30s..eek!

I always thought Thomas had inherited his dad's love of women/sex without the few boundaries ridge had. B & B had a lot of emotional incest undertones with Ridge/Stephanie, Eric/Kristen...with Ridge/Eric having competition to be the dominant male...while Stephanie was jealous of Kristen partly due to youth & her close relationship with Eric. Thorne feeling second best which Eric/Stephanie confirmed in subtle ways. Felicia and Stephanie clashed due to being alike personality wise...but I didn't detect any odd emotional incest vibes with her and her family. Brooke in the first few years wasn't sex addicted at all...in fact, she kept ridge at arms length for awhile sexually. Theories on when she became sex addicted?
