Was the character of TC anything more than just a stiff bore? Did he have depth as a character at all? I remember even being a bore after he and Eve split up, and apparently when he and Liz (Ameilia Marshall) were paired together.

I didn't like Teresa until she embraced her inner b!tch and went toe to toe with Julian and the reset of the family. She and Ethan were horrible together. Grace was such a BORE.

Having Sami fake her own kidnapping would’ve made more sense than Lucas, or at least Lucas and Sami being in on it together.

Thinking of one more; I always was shocked how long Kevin Collin's father Victor Collins lasted on Port Charles. I don't even know what happened to the character.

GL I would've ended it in January 1993 after Maureen's death. Or if we're going for before it really got Bad (Peapack Bad), I would've gone with the 50th Anniversary episodes in June of 2002.

Michael-Paul, Erich, maybe even Stephanie would have been an entertaining group of teens to compete with other shows such as GH and GL.

When Kate and Philip embraced at the end of the episode, that was JKJ's moment to give us something, and he failed. This story would've been extra juicy if Vivian was the one Philip went to in order to help fake his death and frame Brady.

Oh and we got a Tyler Kiriakis mention today.

Apparently in todays episode everyone gets a chance with the Salem brain. Belle figures out Brady is being set up, Steve figures out that MarDevil is going to free Jan, and even Tripp was smart to play it cool when he came upon Marlena and Jan. I’m getting some weird vibes from these Kate and Philip scenes. Kate has gone from being 100% on Philips side to now appearing very concerned that her son Philip has a serious problem and has gone off the deep end. I won’t hold my breath that the show will follow through with Philip’s apparent and obvious mental issues, but they are being written pretty good today in a overall poor storyline. MarDevil knocks out another person with that hospital tray SMH this is getting tiresome.

No problem. Yeah I can understand how some of that would not draw you in, much of the start of 89 in uneven in quality. Somehow by the late summer to fall of 89 there's a bit of a shift in tone with the show (when you start seeing Robert Calhoun's name in the credits) and the show is suddenly firing on all cylinders after that. Joe Wilmore was such a terrible fit for the show as EP.

It's definitely considered a good year for the show (I believe it even earned the title of Most Improved or Best Show by SOD). IMHO the last half of 1989 especially is good, and it's the start of the last golden era of the show, lasting up until 93.

The lighting sucked right up until the move to LA. Suddenly the show's production improved by leaps and bounds.

The story direction for Brando and Sasha has really been all over the place. We really didn't need a brain dead baby storyline, on top of Jason's presumed death.

I follow the show on Instagram and they’ve been uploading pics of Jay and Janine sharing scenes. To be honest instead of Jay and Honey, they should’ve gone with Jay and Janine. Just being honest if they needed to go down the route of Jay falling for a older woman.

Zach Tinker looks great on the streaming series, I'd hate to see the main show ruin that 😂 From make up, hair, to lighting, it would all not be same.

^Ron has been recycling this plot point ever since he had Dorian do the same thing to Charlie on OLTL. You make some good points though.

Todays episode has Parking Lot Pete back in Sonny/Nina/Carly’s orbit with him threatening to tell Carly about Mike and Nina’s secret romance. This man cannot leave soon enough 🤮

I really liked the Abe and Paulina scenes today and that there was a mention of Lexie and her past mistakes.

Something has felt off with Dante and Sam for quite sometime, I don't know if it's due to the fact that they are no longer longing for each other while being apart, if it's due to Dante's beard no longer being present(lol), or his conditioning/ptsd story being wrapped up so quickly that took the wind out of this couples sails. I still like them, but it's just not the same now for some reason.
