  1. The public voted for people who are determined to shatter any anti-trust regulations (unless they involved people Trump hates), so this isn't going to get any better. It's just going to get worse. The best to hope for is "good" billionaires win, if there are any...
  2. That and her eulogy were beautifully done, so much so I can only assume they were a blip and we'll be back to the usual. I also don't think Frank has it out for Lucy, I think it's just easy to write her as an idiot and a town joke, so they do.
  3. I think it was said they were very generous in letting Michael Woods leave when he wanted...more generous than they were with, say, Vincent Irizarry. I guess some producers always have favorites. Backstage at that time sounds horrible. Woods was a good-looking man but I never thought much of him as an actor.
  4. I think Tony would have always been too much of a rebel. He would have made more sense to me as involved in some spy ring, recruited. If not that, a PI. Instead of having Jim be a doctor I would have had him be a cop who clashed with Tony.
  5. It's interesting to me the attempted differences with this story and the Michael Delaney story on AMC several years later. Here, Clint and Sloan were the two main characters who were presented as homophobic (with plenty of layering given to Sloan before he saw the light), although I imagine others would have gone hogwild in being bigoted if they hadn't been tied up elsewhere (like Asa). On AMC, they were, IIRC, going to have several more established characters like Adam and Palmer express homophobic views until the actors insisted their characters would not feel that way. I think that it might have been believable if someone like Kevin had had some questionable views, and they could have used that to cause conflict for Viki and Clint as Clint might defend him and Viki would be appalled, rather than Clint himself saying all these things.
  6. They need to pull the finger out if they have any other romantic plans - they have teased Cody/Lulu, Nathan/Lulu, Dante/Brook Lyn, but nothing happens. Have Dante have a ONS with Nina, I don't care - I'm sure Korte would love an excuse to have someone call Nina a whore.
  7. PC repeatedly demolished them too. I know they were meant to be back together in GH canon after then, but I think it's one of the reasons a lot of viewers weren't that bothered about their split in the last decade. The show's use of Lucy in general has been disappointing beyond my just being happy Lynn Herring is appearing, which I genuinely didn't think she would after she only got one pity appearance for a decade post-PC.
  8. Second Chances lasted for a good portion of a season. The sets being damaged by the earthquake seemed to doom it.
  9. They are likely reluctant to give anyone who isn't white too important a part. I don't think the show sees him as another Alan. Valentini has helped build the Quartermaines back up but I think they still probably see him as being closer to Sonny or Jason for future use.
  10. I forgot to mention Mari Morrow, AKA lap dance Rachel on OLTL. The degradation of this character after Ellen Bethea left was shameful, made worse by hiring someone who couldn't act her way out of hot pants. She never really recovered.
  11. Thanks @Maxim . I had forgotten about Clint objecting to Kevin and Rachel. I will wait and see what happens next in the story before I complain... I feel like that Luna and Blair scene is missing a beat before Luna resorts to putting hands on her. It does reinforce that deep down Luna knows Max doesn't really love her.
  12. Speaking of Lisa Barlow, I saw that she's going to be in the new season of Worst Cooks in America.
  13. Thanks. It was posted here yesterday. The person who uploaded it tends to upload material, delete, and then reupload, so it's been up a few times.
  14. Matthew Robinson, who revived EE in 1998, has written a book about his years at the show. I'm not sure if they are just the blog posts he wrote at Walford Web, but still worth a mention. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Axeman-Cometh-untold-stories-EastEnders/dp/1326059548/
  15. I know they do have a history but it's tough for me to see Tracy with Scotty. I could see Lucy with him again though. I understand why they wrote Gregory out, but I thought Gregory Harrison and Jane Elliot worked well together. Cody too but I know that's not likely.
  16. A number of episodes of Kay O'Brien have been uploaded, a show that if it is remembered at all is for bumping Knots Landing from its time slot (and being an early starring role for Patricia Kalember).
  17. I can only really see Melissa Reeves as Jennifer, even if Cady is overall a stronger actress when given the right material and role. As for Cady on ATWT, I didn't ever get involved in her stories due to her love interests and how bad the writing was, but I think she was an improvement over Yvonne Perry, who wasn't much of an actress.
  18. @Vee This was a very nice surprise.
  19. The show has seemed to have issues with how to use Scotty for a long time now, but even if the show didn't seem to be done with him, they wouldn't be able to use him now anyway as Kin has been (or was in) Florida for some time due to a foot problem and a botched surgery, IIRC. Due to his depression and the marked decline in writing quality, I don't even think MEK was able to play Tad for those last 10-15 years. He seems more checked in now, but Martin isn't up to anything as a character (and any romances they have hinted at for Martin, like with Tracy, are nonstarters).

Thanks @dc11786 it's always tough for me to get into Rituals so your heavy knowledge of the show and ability to find new material goes a long way.

Thanks for remembering them - I had a hard time getting the video to play so I probably missed a few of the actors.
  22. The scene where Rocco blasted Dante for hypocrisy was great, mainly for the performances and the drama. The Gio retcon has given more drama than I'd feared. I just wish this show allowed for more nuanced writing as they don't need to make Dante such a heavy without better reasons. (as I type the names out, Rocco, Gio and Dante make me expect a Mario or a Luigi to pop up)
  23. It's a good thing he never met Nancy Hughes! The way they handled this reminds me of how Mary Hartman's increased meddling was used to showcase her depression and declining mental health. I wonder if they shared any writers from this era.
  24. Thanks so much @jam6242 . For some reason that uploader takes their stuff down and reuploads it again and again (maybe copyright) so this hasn't been up in a while.
  25. JdP and Jessica always worked well together but I don't think she would have had any interest in him again after he broke her heart for Gabrielle. He was also a better fit for Megan when she had the tough surface he had to crack. She was much more vulnerable by the end, even before she was near-death. Andrew was the perfect partner for her by that point, platonic but deeply emotional (and that's why the story is so beautiful - it's like something from old letters). I could see Megan being very involved in Max's life though and fighting tooth and nail against Blair - if Megan had stayed she and Blair likely would have become frenemies in the Kassie years, probably never more than that. Abby/Laura-esque.
