ARTICLE: ‘Days Of Our Lives’ Casts Nikki Crawford As Resurrected Character Who Will Have A Major Impact In Salem
Unless Tanya Boyd is healthy enough to return I'd rather not.

Ugh that story still horrifies me. I can't remember if Frank has ever had Saundra Santiago on GH.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
It's very frustrating as some fans offer constructive criticism and others are much louder because they are upset over Ben or they want social media engagement. I just hope those who offer constructive criticism are the ones who are heard.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
A gorgeous episode today, heartbreaking, and most importantly, very true to EE's spirit. One of the best episodes of recent years. I don't think the show is as bad as some claim, but I can't claim it's good either. Most of Nigel's story, however, has been excellent.

GH: March 2026 Discussion Thread
Whenever I see the name I think of Rachel's evil Swedish (?) doppelganger on AW. If only Victoria Wyndham was able to appear and terrify some performances out of Maurice. As for Florencia, I did not care for Tea (although she grew on me toward the end), but Florencia was certainly a very dynamic actress. GH has many women in that age range who are dynamic and not properly used, but I'd be fine with seeing her get a good part on the show - I'd have her arrive as the one who ends up taking down Sidwell and his organization. Maybe we can learn that she is Marco's biological mother and that the reason Eva LaRue was a pill-popping homophobe is because she had to raise kids who weren't hers and were instead the product of Sidwell whoring around the globe.

GH: Former actor returning after six years
This character irrationally annoyed the hell out of me, and the griminess was a big reason why. I guess more international capers on a budget. I wonder if he may also be there to help Holly say goodbye to Robert and then she leaves with him. This would be a good way to write her out. There would be some very bittersweet feelings for the fans who most wanted this as they aren't going to care with Lexi not in the part.

That would have been a great idea (and Erica could have conquered another Martin).

They barely did anything with Lexie for years before she died. The character had much more potential than most of the regimes who used her ever knew (aside from a few years in the late '90s and early '00s). If you're going to bring her back it needs to be for a permanent and strong storyline. I genuinely think someone is just trying to resurrect every Dimera they can before the show ends. What about Benjy? At least that would give Patch and Kayla some story. That was also a pointless and horrible death I'd like to see undone.

Yes. Jim de Paiva. Philip was a strange choice for that part anyway. I know he played wicked on Knots but that was shorter, and an awful story.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Sad to hear this. The first few years of the show could feel heavy, but Frank and Janie often had more of a fire to them and felt very believable as a couple. I was sorry when they were written out (and when they randomly broke them up offcamera a decade later).

Search For Tomorrow Discussion Thread
Jo and Martin visit the burnt down Inn | Mary Stuart Search for Tomorrow I'd never watched this scene but it's such a clear meta statement of CBS canceling the show and NBC picking it up. That also helps explain why Mary Stuart is so emotional here compared to how stoic her Jo often is. I guess I get the idea, but I still don't think they should have gotten rid of the place just for that reason. (maybe with a smaller NBC budget or studio space, if it was smaller, they had to let this set go) Surprising that they don't try to go golly gosh and instead admit that nothing will ever be as good or the same, but they just have to move on. And that is probably how many fans felt about the move, even if those last 5 years had some strong moments. That makes me curious - would you rather the show have ended in early 1982 or are you glad they had those extra years?

Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I'd throw in Olivia as well. Carl Evans and Rick Hearst rarely remind me of each other as I think of Carl's A-M as more boyish, but he does remind me a lot of Rick in the scene where he flirts with Harley until they kiss. That was a hot moment (it helps that Carl and Beth really went for it). I think the show threw that relationship away too easily. Was Frank meant to be in a yellow Speedo by the end? I think those scenes may have been in the 1992 anniversary special. I've enjoyed your takes on the strike material over the last year as the show was so in flux at this time I was never sure what changes were made during the strike period. Going through the episode now, Sarah does have a harder edge than I remember her having under Long. This is more believable, but it's somewhat difficult to watch. Audrey Peters does a good job of shifting her characters. Reva's dramas are tiresome even by 1988, but Kim sells her dilemma with a surprising amount of sincerity and restraint.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread
I can't remember if this was posted before or not. A 1973 TV movie produced by Dan Curtis and written and directed by various Dark Shadows alum (Addison Powell is also in the cast). There are music cues from The Doctors and Strange Paradise, and a slew of past and future soap names, the most famous being Susan Sarandon. The star is the divine Pamela Payton Wright, future Addie Cramer, in one of the biggest showcases I've seen for her. The Haunting of Rosalind 1973

Catherine O'Hara won a SAG last night and the response from the audience is amongst the most genuine I've ever seen at an awards show. It tells you how truly loved she was.

Are they also going to make Jordan pregnant? That's certainly very soapy but not a turn I think anyone really wants to see. I can already envision the astral presence of Irna Philips saying they need to start killing those characters off. Curtis, beware of brain tumors. Jordan, don't go near any stairs. If GH had a younger audience that Carly face would become a meme.
