  1. I don't think she's right for what Reece was meant to be. I don't think Mischa was the main issue with that story's problems anyway - I think, like so much of the revival, any story that relies heavily on backstory is going to struggle.
  2. I did like Hayley Sparks, although she probably just worked as a temp.
  3. I agree that Chrishell is being better used than Mischa, even if I grew to like her by the end. Max feels very miscast to me. He's written as roguish but the actor is very emo. This leads to some somber and strange vibes. They should have cast the actor who played Sebastian.
  4. Thanks as always @slick jones for the lovely tributes (and a few laughs with that Daisy Kwan meme) Diane Delano (DAYS, GH) has passed. She was wonderful on Northern Exposure. https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/diane-delano-dead-northern-exposure-the-wicker-man-1236251101/
  5. I think it's because Laura and JJ Lucky never really had memorable interactions with Lulu, unless you count when she was a toddler, or when banshee Lulu went around berating and slut-shaming Liz.
  6. She might have been OK (although Beth Ann Bonner, who was cast, was a better choice). I might have cast her as a daughter of Amanda Spaulding.
  7. Knowing how things were going with P&G in those last years, probably Natalia Livingston.
  8. https://deadline.com/2024/12/jamie-lee-curtis-murder-she-wrote-movie-top-choice-angela-lansbury-universal-1236203878/ I think this is a bad idea.
  9. I don't think there was much use for Harley without Beth. If the show had gone on longer, I might have recast her.
  10. The official channel has uploaded the first episode of 2011.
  11. Thank you for letting us know @slick jones . I had no idea, as I have tagged him in recent months. One of the best parts of being on this board has been getting to know those who saw soaps in their best years. Any time he commented I respected his knowledge. I see he was still posting here a day before he passed. So sorry to learn that he's gone. Rest in peace.
  12. Thanks for these - all new to me.
  13. RIP Jill Jacobson (DAYS, Falcon Crest). https://deadline.com/2024/12/jill-jacobson-dies-70-star-trek-the-next-generation-whos-the-boss-actress-1236204248/
  14. Hello. Nice to see more Gwyn fans. I think her biggest love was Clay, although the passionate scenes she has with Dane are probably her most interesting - so much with Clay seems like a misery.
  15. KA couldn't be there due to a scheduling conflict.
  16. As shown with the hostile reaction the show had to Sprina, GH seemed to even react very negatively to a potential new audience, especially if that audience isn't the one who makes them feel comfortable. I suppose it is easier for them to just wind down the clock - I don't know if any of the people running daytime soaps now believed they would still be around (I'll admit that around 2011 or so I thought only the Bell soaps might be on in 2024) and that sense of fear and confusion is very pervasive. It's like the characters stumbling through a zombie movie.
  17. Much of the December 11, 1980 episode. General Hospital- December 11, 1980 (partial) : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive Two and a half hours of L&L clips from December 1980. 18. What a lovely photo. Thank you. I often do not think soap pairings where the actors get together in real life can work, but Julie and Doug are one of the big exceptions. There was such a sparkle in every moment, from first to last.
  19. I never had any connection to Jason or Sonny, or this Carly, but I feel the same way when I see glimpses of Felicia, Kevin (even if the character seems drained of any of his old humor or personality) or Lucy. I don't watch enough to feel much of anything but there are some new characters I like, such as Cody or Sasha, but I'm never going to invest...and I guess we aren't meant to. They broke the bank to bring back Jason and they don't even care about him - they shipped off one of his sons as soon as they could. Soaps in the last decade or two have become overly obsessed with dredging up their past in the wrong, extremely convoluted ways. It just makes them feel incestuous and spent.
  20. I used to post in here every once in a while. I think most fans moved on in the '10s, but I'm glad to see a new fan here and I'm glad to hear Tracy (who is easily one of my favorite parts of GH in recent times) is still getting new fans.
  21. Finola is about a decade older. She does look younger. Clearly, we're meant to just want the triangle with Dante and Lulu and Cody instead, but I think a story with Tracy would be much more compelling. I mostly just hope they don't turn Tracy into any type of crazy meddling figure.
  22. Thanks for the extra details. Fascinating.
  23. Sounds like a good read of Harley's last years on the show. I think I just enjoyed watching Jean Carol. To me she was a great actress and a distinct one who could play just about anything. I don't ever bother to defend Nadine's actions, but I do think she, and viewers, deserved better than pining after Buzz for her last 2-3 years on the show.
