  1. Gutless. They have already endorsed Trump in so many ways. All this after Biden worked so hard for them. If Harris wins, I hope she cuts them off.
  2. Thanks for all the info. I think Georgia was mostly won due to a number of factors in 2020 which aren't there this year, but I hope Harris can pull it off. Quinnipac isn't very reliable, IIRC, but then Gallup, which is out today talking about a dip in her favorability while Trump had a big gain isn't either. If the latter is true, I do blame the media for their nonstop fawning over him. Any time there is a lull between events, Trump seems to regain footing, because people are drawn into falling for all the propaganda about him and about Harris (that and worries over immigration and the economy). Meanwhile it looks like the Teamsters are likely going to endorse Trump, as otherwise this polling data probably wouldn't have been released. Their scumbag head has been itching to do so, even speaking at the RNC and cheerleading hatemonger Josh Hawley, a favorite of the red-brown alliance dead end leftists. The methodology between the two polls is different, but this is still a big warning sign of how much the white working class vote is likely going to overperform for Trump again. When she is erudite, they criticize her for being too on message. When she's not, it's word salad. Meanwhile, if Trump blathers he is praised for managing to weave out a winning message. If he doesn't [!@#$%^&*] his pants on stage, he's praised for being on message. It's no wonder he is doing so well. @janea4old I saw that. Kennedy (who isn't even using his real accent - he magically gained that drawl when he switched parties) is often hyped by sycophants as "funny" but he's just an old nasty bigot. Even Faux News had to shut him down not long ago.
  3. Dillon seemed to be another of those characters Guza lost interest in quickly, especially after he flopped with golden girl JMB. I did genuinely like Scott Clifton on OLTL, even if he seemed very twitchy on GH. The idea of Dillon returning makes sense, especially as we probably won't have Tracy much longer, but then many would have said the same about Brooklyn and she's just sort of there.
  4. Thanks @Khan @soapfan770 for the views. I've just started reading some of the books (I'm not going in order) but I know this is for the show and the books are probably more divisive (I know some fans were upset over how Mort's wife was treated in the books) - I appreciate you responding.
  5. 'American Sports Story' and Ryan Murphy's Queer Killer Mania | TIME
  6. A number of those pilots were originally uploaded by the Media Garage account, which was removed several times for the usual reasons. They are going to put up some new pilots, they claim - hopefully there will be some primetime soap related material. I watched Grace on their channel. It's too slick in the way many Shondaland shows are for me but had potential, and a good cast.
  7. Gottlieb and Malone undoubtedly revived OLTL, and a great deal of the output from 1992 and 1993 is worthwhile, but it can be hard to shake how much long-term damage much of that era did to the show (in my opinion).
  8. I was reading a MSW book that has appearances from Dennis Stanton and Michael Haggerty. I think there was some talk about Stanton earlier in the thread, but what did you think of Haggerty?
  9. @slick jones @jam6242 @vetsoapfan @Paul Raven @FrenchFan @depboy @Vee @carolineg @Contessa Donatella @titan1978 @dc11786 This is not GH related but it does have a GH vet and I'm not sure it's listed in his credits. Peter Hansen around 2 minutes in. If you recognize anyone else in this please let us know.
  10. The amount of people from JD Vance's past who go on about how friendly he was and oh he just completely changed all of himself for gain should raise alarm bells for any voter. It's not just the usual about a politician flip-flopping. (he also can't pronounce Haiti, apparently, speaking of which...)
  11. Hell, he'd probably cast her to play Margo.
  12. I don't see it as protest as much as people who are put off that a platform that claims to want to remember and honor doesn't seem to care about doing so. One example in this ceremony was not bothering to mention Joe Flaherty in the main broadcast, even though he was an integral part of generations of beloved TV shows. All this on the night that his longtime co-star was co-hosting the very same ceremony. It's all so devastating. Sometimes I feel ghoulish going on some quest for answers that aren't our business, especially as I had not heard a great deal of her story, so thank you. And thank you for the clips @janea4old.
  13. That's good to hear about Monmouth (I did not know they were rated so highly). Meanwhile, today's GOP in a nutshell:
  14. Amy Walter/Cook have been going into overdrive lately about how Harris still isn't beating the polling spread enough, that Trump did not blame Democrats when he was "shot" but now he is so numbers will favor him, etc. I do agree that polling is probably too rosy for Harris but still the propaganda is not subtle.
  15. It fits with hatemonger JD Vance going around talking about how Trump nearly died and the rest. Speaking of him, you can see he, Rich Lowry, Megyn Kelly, etc. have gotten the marching orders to push even further into racism.
  16. Unless you count getting to see Greg Vaughan half-naked, Lucky's last good story aired sometime in 1998 (and even that is being generous). At some point the show needs to accept the character is spent.
  17. I won't post the clip, but Rich Lowry, who has been clogging the drains of National Review, Politico, etc. for many years, seemingly used the n-word (before at the very end changing it to "migrants") on Megyn Kelly's hatecast today. Megyn was of course grinning, as much as the very limited nutrients left in her body allow her to move her facial muscles. He claims this was a "mispronunciation." I would say the right going full hood off will cause a reckoning for them with voters, but I don't know if I believe that anymore, if I ever did.
  18. Thanks. You're probably right.
  19. For me there is a longstanding problem with Laura in that even when she is given story, I don't feel she has a great deal of inner life or drive. It was one of the reasons I found her late '90s return so underwhelming. But that's just a me thing.
  20. I didn't realize until now that Laura's father had the surname of Grey. Didn't the man who originally took Laura away have the surname Grey? David Grey? Was that ever intended to mean anything?
  21. I am so out of the loop with the show I didn't even know he was her brother. All this family and Laura still feels irrelevant to me. Reading his comments about how he was so grateful for the job due to health insurance reminds me of what a fickle business this is. Back in the '80s and early '90s MEK was hot property, even if he never really broke through in films and primetime. Now he needs Valentini's charity. I don't begrudge him (I know he's had a hard time) as much as I marvel as how few actors seem to make it last.
  22. Seeing Lisa running the hospital bookstore around 1981 just felt sad. AW brought a bookstore in for Cass and Felicia in 1995 but quickly dumped it. A bookstore would have been a great idea in ATWT's later years. You could even have underused characters like Emma involved, given her writing background.
