PASSIONS: Back to the good ol' days?

From a non-fan of PASSIONS(watched the first three months), I still think it will end with either the entire audience being pissed off because coupled ended up together that ultimately were not supposed to in the mass audience's eyes(i.e. Ethan/Gwen, Fancy/Luis, etc.) or Reilly leaving the show as one big cliffhanger.

Wow, you sure don't watch "Passions." Because Reilly would never leave the 'big' storylines unresolved nor would he put the wrong couples together. His interviews suggest the 'love conquers all' mantra. That's why so many say Ethan and Theresa will finally be happy on the series finale. He'll give the audience everything they want (well, most of it) but it will take until the series' end.

Um...Charity and Miguel anyone? Tabitha and the Standish sisters? Grace's Past? These were all HUGE storylines that he seriously dropped the ball on. Miguel and Charity didn't even reunite when their portrayers left the show. And I doubt Reilly will even want to tie up those loose ends when the show is cancelled, because the story is so convoluted and he will probably rewrite it to suit some purpose for the now. (TC's Shed, anyone? WTF was that?!) No one is happy for long on his shows, that is why it clings on to the 1.5 household rating it has.

I'll give you Tabitha and the STandish sisters, but again, to use them would mean to end the show. Because that's the ultimate battle of good verses evil, y'know? As for Charity and Miguel, I didn't disagree with his decision to make them leave, unreunited. It was poetic (he missed her bus in '99) and it was realistic for their characters since they CAN'T be together until after the big showdown between good and evil, 'member?

That said, I choose to believe that Reilly will get this show in order. Say what you will but we ALL know he has a huge ego, and after the "Days" fiasco, he's going to prove himself worthy. I just know it.

Why even talk about a series finale when the show just got renewed for another year? I don't get you guys. Why must everyone be all gloom and doom with the axe hanging over the show? Passions has always been renewed on a yearly basis and with NBC invested in Days for another three years I doubt seriously Passions is going anywhere anytime soon and discussing a series finale is definitely premature.

We'll probably get that awful Theresa/Ethan happiness if the show ends.

A couple who is obviously NOT meant to be. <_<

-Eve's past was fully revealed
That sucked bigtime. Her secret about David and Grace should've come out at the time.

!@#$%^&*] covered up her past for about 5 years, two years later nobody gives a hoot.

-The secret of TC's shed was revealed, with a new twist

It's a thirty year old wreck! GASP!!!!

Biggest shock EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL Skiman. Unlike anyone perhaps on the entire net, I'm not "doom and gloom" about "Passions." But still, I speak of the series finale for the reasons I mentioned. Maybe it's 20 years from now or 30 years from now, but I'm saying that Tabby won't be revealed as a witch to the whole town and ET won't get together until the series finale. (Of course, Juliet may die before then, and that resolves itself...but the ET thing sticks). It's just how I perceive the show to naturally flow. THe way "Passions" is designed, with the battle of good verses evil, I can only fathom that one way for the show to end. The ultimate showdown, good wins, Miguel and Chairty finally get together and either Tabitha is destroyed or becomes good herself and ascends to heaven to be with Timmy.
