USA Network used to put out some doozies:

I'm Dangerous Tonight This red material is found which belonged to the Aztecs and it's possessed by some evil force. Whoever wears it turns into a murderer. I remember Madchen Amick turned into a dress and when she wore it, she became this seductive wannabe killer.

Red Wind Lisa Hartman Black plays a shrink who falls in love with this mysterious man. He turns out to be one of her patients---dressed up in drag! Man, that was a GOOD movie.

Buried Alive A dude is supposedly killed by his wife and her lover, but didn't die, and returns to get revenge. Awesome.

Tainted Blood Raquel Welch tries to figure out which teenager in the movie is a homicidal maniac because of their DNA.

Strays The killer stray cat movie.

Baby Monitor: Sound of Fear A babysitter sleeping with the dad she works for starts getting stalked by his wife after she hears them getting it on via the baby monitor! So bad, it was good.

Maternal Instincts Delta Burke ROCKED in this one. She wanted a baby, but ended up having an emergency hysterectomy without her consent. She accidentally kills her husband and goes after her doctor when she learns the doctor is pregnant.

There was also one USA did with Suzanne Somers as this woman who is the reincarnation of some evil Mexican warlock's mistress and the evil Mexican warlock stalks her. I think it was called Seduced by Evil.

Man, they don't make TV movies like they used to anymore.

I liked the one on CBS, Like Mother Like Son, starring Mary Tyler Moore. It was about a real-life mother son duo who conned people out of money, and eventually led to murdering an old lady for her money. They did a Lifetime movie about it, and that was good too.

On Lifetime:

We Were the Mullvaneys- The book was an Oprah book club selection. I thought it was a lot better than the book.

Human Trafficking- From last year. One of the best movies I've ever seen! Everyone should see it. It's a really eye-opening look at human sex trafficking.

There was also that one with Delta Burke, where she played a woman with a gambling addiction. That one hit close to home: I have a lot of family members with gambling problems.

My childhood TV was simple: soaps at day and Lifetime at night. My mother and I still watch Lifetime and LMN together all the time.

There are far too many for me to name them all, but here are the top-of-my-heads...

"The Perfect Neighbor" - Barbara Niven as a woman in her early 40s who moves in with her aunt and becomes infatuated with the husband/father who lives across the street.

"The People Next Door" - Nicollette Sheridan as a single mother whose daughters are kidnapped by the couple next door

"Reunion" - Marlo Thomas as a woman who can't deal with her young son's death

"Invisible Child" - Rita Wilson as a woman who believes her dead son is still alive

"A Friend's Betrayal" - Sharon Lawrence as a woman who sleeps with her best friend's teenaged son

"A Girl Like Me: the Gwen Araujo Story" - JD Pardo as a teenager who is a female inside a male's body

"Odd Girl Out" - Alexa Vega as a teenaged girl who is taunted and teased at school after betraying a friend

"cyberSeduction: His Secret Life" - Jeremy Sumpter as a young man who becomes addicted to internet pornography

Those are only recent ones. I've seen so many of them that sometimes it's hard to distinguish between the story and title.

My two favorite mini-series...

"Hollywood Wives" - my all time favorite EVER. EVER. EVER. EVER. EVER. EVER. Look at the cast list: Candice Bergen, Mary Crosby, Suzanne Somers, Stefanie Powers, Joanna Cassidy, Catherine Mary Stewart, Angie Dickinson. Amazing ladies all playing off of one another and their men: Steve Forrest, Robert Stack, Anthony Hopkins, Andrew Stevens, Rod Steiger. Delightfully dirty and always great.

"Bare Essence" - my second favorite. Genie Francis, Linda Evans, Donna Mills, Lee Grant, Bruce Boxleitner, Joel Higgins...it's just incredible.

There's something about HW and BE that just excite me. I don't have SOAPnet, so I never could revel in the greatness that was primetime soaps in the early 80s, but those two definitely fill the void.

I am utterly shocked no one has mentioned my all time favorite Lifetime Movie, Hand that Rocks the Cradle. There's so much suspense and intrigue in this movie. It's about the only Lifetime movie that I will make time out of my schedule to watch when it's on.

I LIVE for Lifetime movies  I'm really looking forward to Life Is Not a Fairy Tale: The Fantasia Barrino Story coming in August.

The last Lifetime movie that I really liked was the Gwen Araujo Story, based on a true story of a transgendered teen who was brutally murdered.

I'm glad someone mentioned Jackie's Back! I had forgotten about that one, but Jennifer Lewis was a total crack up.

Daphne, there were just SO many celebrity cameos. A-list to F-list, even! And there was Eddie Cibrian, too, who had perhaps, the most memorable scene! He was naked, in a bubble bath, saying Jackie came to Sunset Beach once...he may have played himself or portrayed "Cole" but it was hilarious!

I just remembered another made-for-TV movie. It starred Kate Jackson and Lori Laughlin. Lori's character gave birth to a baby girl, and Kate Jackson's character, who was a nurse, stole the baby and replaced it with a dead one. I believe this was either based on a true story or inspired by actual events. Everytime I see that movie I am just simply riveted.

And a fabulously *BAD* movie starred Delta Burke as a woman who was pregnant but lost her baby in childbirth. So she steals her obstetrician's baby  I like Delta Burke but her acting in that movie was soooo bad  This movie used to air on the USA network pretty often.

My absolute favorite is Sex and Mrs. X. It stars Jacqueline Bisset, Linda Hamilton and the very sexy Paolo Seganti. Linda Hamilton's character re-discovers herself and her sexuality after her husband leaves her for another woman. It was a great movie and I try to catch it when it comes on.

Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter?- It had Linda Gray going after Antonio Sabato Jr, a pimp who seduced her daughter, made her a hooker, then brutally murdered her. The daughter was played by Jamie Luner from Melrose Place and Savannah. Its based on a true story. I felt so bad watching it. Linda Gray is tops at bringing on the tears.

In a Childs Name: This is one of the best tv movies I've ever seen, next to Sybil. Valerie Bertinelli was amazing.

The Burning Bed: Farrah Fawcett at her peak. 'Nuff said.

Moment of Truth: The Sleepwalker Killing- Its amazing watching this now because the writing is so bad, even future two time Oscar winner Hilary Swank is on cruise control through it.

Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?- Just for the title alone.

A Killer Among Friends: Tiffani Thiessen as a beautiful girl ambushed and killed by her jealous friends. The scene where they flash back to her being murdered is so unnerving it gave me chills. So brutal.

Great thread!!

My favorite Lifetime movie is "Murder in the Hamptons," with Shawn Christian and Poppy Montgomery. But my all-time favorite TV movie is "Lace." Anyone ever seen it? It may be before some of your times - it was made in 1984. It has a very young Phoebe Cates as a girl searching for her birth mother....it's very soapy.
