ATWT Friday

The problem with the murder story is that they're making the serious issue or rape and assault a joke with these cheesy "psycho" send-ups. It's light summer fun, but whatever. I think that Eve's husband raped Maddie. Why else would they mention "Lewis" so much?

I really enjoyed the Psycho shower take-off, and loved it for what it was. Good job. It's pretty obvoius to me, it's way too obvious anyway that we're supposed to think so, that Maddie isn't the stabber since the clothes she was wearing today are completely different from the murderer's. Alexandra Chando's acting is top notch.

Mike and Katie need to get over themselves already. The world doesn't revolve around them. I'm also sick and tired of their constant rutting, but I can understand it a little, since Mike is incapable of intelligent conversation they have to fill their time somehow.

Van Hansis should be a strong Emmy contender next year; he's doing a fantastic job.

I'm always a sucker for these soap serial killer stories, especially when the killer is "shown" (gloves, mask, etc.). Any other long-time viewers out there? The way the killer's legs/shoes were shown on ATWT on Friday - walking in slow motion - very much reminded of of the classic Sin-Stalker story from AW. I'm taking this for what it's worth (light summer cheese, LOL), and look forward to "seeing" the killer again. Hey, it's gotten me to record ATWT, which I never watch, so that's a big plus! Maybe I'll get hooked!

As far as Carly and money is concerned---- she has never been a good money manager. She came to town to do damage to Rosanna and to get money, when she got it she lost it ( remember the money in the canvas bag). She almost ran through Parkers 50 million until Rosanna put a stop to it. She took the money she got from BRO and brought that fancy red car Jack drives. It goes on and on. So for her to be having money problems now is in character for her. Yes her money problems are a prop for a Carly/Simon match but her need for money has been the engine that drives her train since the begining.

Carly didn't come close to "going through Parker's trust fund." She bought things she wanted, like a house, and did things for people, like giving Brad $5 million to pay off a guy so he wouldn't hurt Camille. Rosanna put a stop to it because it was fraud, since John wasn't Parker's father. In the end, Rosanna even said Carly broke even or gained money because she'd gotten Fairwinds so cheap from James.

But I'll agree...Carly has never had a nest egg.

A part of me wants to see how Maddie will start to react once Eve's husband, Louis comes to Oakdale...I just know she's going to even further over the edge. He's not even on the show yet, and already I'm thinking something is not up with either him or in fact with Eve.

I had mixed thoughts about Friday's show.

I love confident Simon who doesn't give a crap (or at least pretends) about what other people think of him. I agree that Mike & Katie need to get over themselves. Mike is sure insecure and Katie..*sigh* she went from being one of the reasons I started watching the show to being just flatout annoying. :( I am so sick of her acting like the helpless victim when she has done her own share of causing other people pain.

Sure, Carly & Jack have chemistry but it really doesn't help that they're in repetitive stories.

Alex Chando has been pretty good with the dark stuff..she is playing psycho really well but I still find it extremely hard to root for the character. I didn't really care for AC when she was doing the comic stuff..she annoyed the heck out of me then..but now, she's annoying the heck out of me by playing this senseless psycho who suffers from anxiety problems all of a sudden. Why should I feel sorry for her and root for her freaking out over Casey & Lia when she was the one who broke things off??? Whoever said the character continuity sucks was right. A bunch of actors have to put up with piss-poor writing and manage to make it work better than AC. It's just not believable to me how the character has changed personality so quickly.

Van Hansis is good as always but I simply don't care for Luke's story anymore. :(
