Why do you think the storyline was changed? Well, there are still some people who think this was the plan all along. I used to think there weren't any last-minute re-writes, but now I'm not so sure. You don't fire 10 people to bring them all back and say "Ha-ha! It was just a hoax!"---however, considering all the buzz and that DAYS was the soap not to miss during that time---it could have been deliberate to spike ratings and increase viewers. I think that question will continue to be a mystery.

Perhaps it WILL stay a mystery, Bree, but with JER fired from "Days," I have to hope, beyond hope, that he will feel no loyalty to Corday and SPILL THE BEANS, baby!!!

Go on, JER. DO it.

The events leading up to Maggie's murder were incredibly dramatic and wonderful. Suzanne Rogers shined like she's never shined before! She was robbed of an Emmy nomination, IMO. Maybe even a win! Halloween that year was incredibly creepy, like watching some old horror film, and it was GREAT! It was as if the episodes surrounding Maggie's death were 'themed' special episodes or something. I loved it.

Least favorite part of the story would have to be that idiotic dancing skeleton on the PDA. It was so corny. Made me laugh rather than tremble with fear.

Meanwhile, I'm still not convinced that the story WAS changed from its original intention, so... I can't say. If, however, it was changed, it can only be because of fan uproar over the veterans firings.

The one thing I'm going to miss about JER is his potential. Back in the day, he was superb. And now and again, he manages to really shock the hell out of you and entertain you like no other. For me personally, when Reilly's good, he's better than all the rest for MY personal tastes, bar none. It's just that when he's bad, he's WORSE than all the rest, bar none. And that's just too much up-and-down, IMO. It's sad knowing that I'll never see his version of Days again... good OR bad. Such a love/hate thing I have for JER. *sigh*

So many amazing performances with this storyline, though. We got lots and lots of Celeste, who I just love. Days was 'dark' again, with that dark tone... which I loved. Suzanne Rogers was brilliant. Lauren Koslow was great with that Roman/Kate wedding blood-curdling scream -- amazing! Deidre Hall was superb. The whole story just brought the canvas to life, and I loved it. Couldn't miss a day!

I'd sure like to hear what Jim's intentions were, now that he's far away from Days. You're right, he has nothing to lose.

As it is, this is one viewer who prefers to forget the whole story ever existed, but that's just me. I know how popular it was with some people.

-The constant someone falling off a cliff cliffhanger.

-The dragging out of the island crap.

-Unsolved mysterys (What was with the voices of little girls Maggie was hearing)

-Tony is the mastermind. (The storyline would of been much better had Marlena been possessed again or if it was Hattie impersonating Marlena)

I completely agree!! Her exit was pointless and the character could've had potential in a Nicole/Brady/Crystal storyline or even a Crystal/John story!
