DAYS: Tuesday

JER must have written this episode, because already we got a flashback to Lexie lying to Carrie about she and Austin not being able to have children, Patch and Kayla's yacht wedding (which was okay, except for the hazy white SFX), Lexie and the mysterious phone call, and Carrie marrying Austin (not sure if that was a flashback or a fantasy).

But, I think Kayla looks great, and only Patch would wear a leather jacket in July. Frankie and Jack's scene together was really cute. If the writers actually decided to go there, I would support a Frack pairing. Brokeback, DAYS style. I'm already tired of Max and Chelsea...I want Max and Abby!!! Sami/Carrie/Austin...yawn, but at least we're getting more Carrie in this episode and Christie is doing a pretty good job. And any episode without Salem's biggest whiner, Mimi, is a good episode. B)

These episodes are usually just filler because of the holiday. It will probably get better like the way it was these past few weeks starting on Monday. Well, today's episode was better than yesterday's, IMO.

I thought the writing was horrible again today. The entire episode was just spinning wheels. I could barely watch it.

Do they honestly think we care to watch Kate tell Sami for the 3000th time "you're not going to get away with this?" Or Lexie wring her hands over what she's doing to Carrie? They're even spinning Steve and Kayla in circles "you remembered!" / "No, I didn't."

Do writers not WRITE anymore?

Is there no one capable of writing dialogue that reveals who the characters are and explores real human emotion?

I'm not sure this is something that Sheffer's tenure will fix because he won't be doing the daily dialogue. And what I've been seeing is beyond amateurish and bad.

The show was really boring from the little I saw, even Patch/Kayla, they've done this so far in such an anti-climatic way. Actually Jack/Jenn/Frankie amused me a bit, that said most soaps won't count July 4th in their weekly ratings cause the numbers tend to tank that day (families spending the day out BBQ-ing, I guess) and this is always a nasty week for DAYS (ratings) because of Wimbeldon so I don't blame them for seemingly tossing the week (they have an excuse).

Ever since Days has been "good" again, I still see lots of problems, like the poor pacing. This is what I'm looking forward to most with Hogan because ATWT was a very fast soap when he wrote it. He doesn't spin any wheels, he tells the story, has great conclusions and that is that!

The flashbacks on Days are very bizarre as nothing is happening as is, so whats the point?

I've decided the heavy use of flashbacks (the ones from the day before or even earlier in the same episode) are a trick the "writers" are using to fill time. The more flashbacks they use, the less they actually have to write.

I am getting tired of these flashbacks because we KNOW what happened! They have shown it like a million times and I am getting tired of it.

I loved the Jen/Jack/Frankie/Abby/JJ scenes, all of them. The rest was horrendous, tedious, and beyond endurance. Carrie needs to have a nervous breakdown and get it over with, Austin needs to count himself lucky and go back to NY. Lucas can pine over Carrie while he woes Sami, ugh and Stephanie can charm us all, I hope.

I liked today's episode, just because I love holiday-themed episodes where a bunch of people get together in one scene.

The flashbacks are starting to get out of hand again. The first couple flashbacks of the show were very unnecessary. No one has forgotten Lexie's call from the mysterious gloved hand. No one has forgotten what Lexie told Carrie about the birth defects. Even the Jack/Jennifer and Steve/Kayla flashbacks from long ago are starting to run it's course. Can the writers not think of anything else to write for? Have the characters discuss gossip, or other things in the world, if they really need to fill up time. QUIT WITH THE FLASHBACKS!!!

J.J. got a haircut. He's such a cute little toddler.

Why does Lexie wear evening gowns to work under her white coat?

Well, they should all get in trouble for it, then, LoL. It's like taking 100 piss breaks at work in an hour... buy some Depends and do the damn job!

It's going to be so weird seeing Sami and Stephanie fight over E.J., just because Stephanie looks so young. She shouldn't be in that age group. She should stick in the Chelsea/Max/Abby age group. IMO, the girl isn't even needed at all.

I thought today was better the yesterday. Like I said, this is usually a throw away week for Days. Tomarrow will probably be the only good show of the week and I knew that because it is traditionall that way. Just the way it is I guess.

The dialogue was bad but I have seen it worse. TThere was way too many flashbacks but I can't get on them for the Steve/Kayla ones. Those are needed for this story. The Lexie/Carrie ones were so stupid and I am sick of all the daydreaming. Clearly, between Wimbledon and the holiday Days figured it was a waste because while good the show has been lacking the last two days.

I love Shayna Rose as Stephanie even though we saw only a little bit. Nice to have a redhead and she has a CBS-look to her. Steve/Kayla was good and I am loving Jack/Jennifer/Frankie. I love how all three get along-it is just a great triangle and it is so hard to pick one man or the other. Little JJ is adorable (loved him playing with Frankie).

I love seeing so much of Abby and Max. I felt so bad for him. Glad he dumped Chelsea. Go to Abby Max  !!

Kate/Lexie/Sami is getting old-I can't wait for the wedding because these scenes of Kate making threats are tiresome. I want action here and I know we will get it but Days is just stalling this week because of the holiday and such. CC is doing great this week as Carrie and I am even liking Peck.

Can't wait for tomarrow-hopefully like today it will be better then the day before's show.

this episode was just full of repetitive [!@#$%^&*], and it SCREMED JER with all the non-neccessary flashback. Like GBB said the writer must have taken an early vacation or something and didn't want to wirte endless dialogue.

And JJ is SO ADORABLE!!

  • Member

Yeah... and we don't get to see J.J that much either.

I loved today's show! I hope Max dumps Chelsea... I can't wait til he makes her jealous for a change.

I loved LOVED the flashbacks especially Jack and Jen and Patch and Kayla.

All the scenes were so good. :D
