I think one could lead to the latter. I don't actually want Naomi and Izaiah as some major pairing, but I do think it would be good soap and lead to busting her and Jacob up and building the track for him and Kat.

Yes! And, it closes the door on all the discussion about Kat never becoming "the other woman" with her cousin's man. I didn't like that, either, but I really enjoy their chemistry. If Jacob leaves Naomi, that works well for Jackat without ruining Kat's character.

Dani/Andre will explode. I am so mad at Dani because she just became the "Bill" to Andre's "Dani" and she, of all people, should understand the pain in that position. I hope Hayley figures it out and rats her out. Or, Vanessa gets drunk and tells Joey (who has a bet riding on this).

It is never my intent to hurt or offend when discussing any shows. I have the greatest admiration for your father's courage in fighting this disease, and compassion for you as you deal with the news.

That said, it doesn't change my opinion that Naomi was entitled to her medical privacy. Jacob and Dani seem to understand that after they dealt with the news.

Dani used Andre as her main source of narcissistic supply... to survive the humiliation of what Bill did to her. And what she is doing now is proof that she and Bill deserve each other and they also deserve what will happen to them.

I just finished this week. I thought it was pretty good. A bit subdued compared to all the action we have gotten recently. Not sure if binging all the episodes helped but I enjoyed it.

I do feel like all these characters just getting accolades and recognition for their greatness is a bit excessive. Now Smitty is up for some award.

It's actually ridiculous. That kind of writing does not make characters likable or rootable.

Someone is always getting an Oscar, a Grammy, a blue ribbon, some grand celebration, etc.

I was already questioning Smitty's work. Just what did he say beyond reporting facts that any reporter would write? Who did he expose? What happens now?

Instead of writers just moving on because there's nothing there, instead they give Smitty an award. It's laughable.

And don't get me started on his boss who thanks him and cares so much about good journalism while she is very unhappy he won't spill any political news about Martin. In one breath she went from New York Times to TMZ.

FINALLY!!! Not only on my system this week, but I have some time to watch this week. I was already annoyed with the repeats. lol.

I thought this was a good episode overall full of intrigue, SHADE (cuz the looks the Dupree members were giving behind Tomas's back were hilarious, and good interaction overall.

I've been enjoying that while Chels has been giving Tomas all kinds of common sense advice, she appears to slowly be going back to being shady when it comes to him. I liked Chels vs Tomas so I'm fine with that. That said...that proposal fell flat. Kat was right. All of this because of a tornado??? (NOTE: see how much we are still getting from that Y&R crossover three two weeks out? That's how you do it!) That also said...darn! I was hoping that proposal would lead to Tomas's exit cuz we know they ain't marrying Kat off. shakes fists

I love that they continue to play the tension between Eva and Kat cuz OF COURSE they were released at the same time. OF COURSE!!! It gives me hope that this temp truce will not last. Same for Darlene and Silk Press Sheila. SPS is still taking too many popshots at her and is clearly jealous so she will probably wreck it. It goes without saying that I was happy to see Darlene.

Jacob and Marcel getting along? Since when???

And Deanna vs Joey is now shaping up to be a good C plot. I have mixed feelings about it though. Like others have mentioned and we discussed when the Doug specter showed up, I would also rather Deanna was just smart and cunning and tried to figure out a way to prove what Joey did and stay STRONG as a character rather than it's all in her head. Also I don't like that Joey is already onto her because Joey knows all. The vibe it was giving. I don't mind Deanna and Joey playing cat and mouse where he might be suspicious but he can't prove jack as Deanna slowly weaves a wedge between him and Vanessa. If it goes that way, I'm down for it. And now poor Randy is in the middle, too? Joey and Vanessa have been too happy and without story so good to see something moving forward.

I also love how Karla keeps playing the fact that Dani slept with Bill at all times and that the writers have the storyline simmering. All great A stories get a break from time to time. Also like how Anita's cancer storyline continues to be referenced, but not centered at the moment.
