But for whatever reason, the embedding isn't clickable on my computer? Here's the full link:https://www.tvinsider.com/1269427/jere-burns-young-and-restless-diane-mystery/Jere Burns’ debut airdate on Y&R Monday, June 15. USA (Friday June 12 CDN). This is for a multi-episode arc.Burns will play the new role of Dr. Laurence Markham and sharing scenes with Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins). This will apparently address the mystery of Diane’s whereabouts on Y&R.The last time viewers saw Diane in Genoa City was on May 14, when she left Jack a voicemail, and had seemingly disappeared.Despite being missing on Y&R, Diane appears on BTG in the crossover. Diane and Jack are together in Fairmont Crest, even as her disappearance remains unresolved in Genoa City.image credit Howard Wise for JPI via tvinsider Edited 8 hours ago8 hr by janea4old
9 hours ago9 hr Member Per several cast interviews, the Y&R cast was in Atlanta for four days in January 2026 to film the crossover. So Diane attending the BTG event was filmed months before Diane disappeared on Y&R. Y&R had months to write/adjust dialogue to explain her being at Fairmont Crest, and why Jack was unsurprised to see her there. Y&R characters know Victor was in Fairmont Crest. Why don't they discuss Diane ? ? ?I wonder if this newly-cast doctor's arc will explain any of this? ? ?
8 hours ago8 hr Member Wow how did they manage not to catch on to that? That’s a pretty big error. So when we see Jack again back in Genoa City are we just supposed to pretend he wasn’t with Diane in Fairmont Crest?.. please tell me they have a way of explaining that lol
4 hours ago4 hr Member I don't watch either of these shows very often but I'm not sure who decided this level of distorted timelines made sense for a crossover. Back when there were actual soap magazines, Carolyn Hinsey would have been dispatched to tell everyone to shut up and get over it, but in a genre where fans get mad if the clocks are not wound the right way, this is a doozy.Anyway, I'm glad to see Y&R hasn't given up it's use as a nest egg for primetime actors last known 20-30 years ago. I liked Jere on Dear John. I didn't even known if he was still in the business. A shame Judd Hirsch will never be doing daytime as he could have popped up too. Maybe that little British woman could appear. She was great.

Walters’ work on Seinfeld and more infamously that strange role she had on Melrose (didn’t her character get hit by train???) are more notable it was always Dear John for me. I didn’t even know she had been a regular on Hotel til I saw a couple of her eps when it ran on SoapNet.

Walters was just coming off that USA network show of hers when she got the Melrose gig, obviously her past/present connections probably got her that roles. I think Susan has always had more high profile roles than Linden ever has, although Linden and Susan were basically equals on Teen Wolf.
