BTG is so good. I remember when my brother was chosen to escort a family friends daughter to her cotillion and all that entailed. It's definitely a big deal with some families.

I am still feeling out Eva & Izaiah but I don't dislike them like some posters do. I think they have potential.

I think the show is handling Anita's cancer story perfectly. It is informative, it is also demonstrating what a powerful, close family the Dupree's really are. I am very much enjoying it.

Everyone has their opinions about things but I completely disagree with the assertion that because Joey is white makes his storyline invalid or biased.

Joey and SPS/Leslie were the highlight to me.. it was good that the show finally inserted other scenes/stories instead of focusing just on the Anita story.

Ashley in supporting mode is where she is best right now, but I must confess she has better scene chemistry with Shanice than she does with Naomi in terms of friend scenes. I still wonder if she's connected to Joey as his daughter and that's why the two haven't interacted with one another yet on the show.

Izaiah and Eva have chemistry, but I'm not seeing the conflict and/or forbidden aspect of their coupling like there was when she was with Tomas. I'm going to assume that either his ex will be coming into the picture to provide some conflict or the show will try to insert Tomas as an obstacle.. or maybe the show will actually make the Hawthorne's the second family of the show and have them be the obstacle for the two.

I like how the show writes Vanessa and her friendships with both Dani and Nicole. With Dani, Vanessa displays a bit of that naughty element that's been missing while with Nicole.. she becomes more together and supportive. This kind of writing goes a long way in making a character more layered because you don't interact with all your friends in the same manner. Vanessa and how she interacts in 1:1 scenes with Dani and Nicole is a prime example of that.

Leslie is probably going to be a problem for Joey because she picked up on something being suspect about him wanting to name the clinic after Doug.

Martin got Tyrell all the way together for being such a follower behind Jessica. Martin was two seconds off of saying "Little boy, hush up!".

Martin has never played when it comes to those kids, while Smitty is the soft touch. The consistency I appreciate lol

Finally got to view Episode #200 tonight.

WOW!!

What great work from everyone involved. I know it's a gloomy issue, as each of us likely knows someone who's suffered (or who is currently suffering) with breast cancer, but those Duprees knocked it out of the park. Every single one of them. I'm handing them an armful of DuPraise of my own tonight.

(And I just knew Anita & Vernon's little Sweet Baby would be the first one beating a path to their door. He didn't let me down.)

Apparently so. And here I am thinking I'm tech savvy.

It's been established that Doug came from a lower class background, hanging out in his youth with BFF Randy. I don't know Vanessa's background but I had the impression she came from money or that she earned all her money from selling real estate.

Who said I was talking about money? I'm talking about the Black card that gave her entree into the community. Her friendship with Nicole and Dani wouldn't be enough to do that with the wider community in Fairmont Crest.

I think Eva and Izaiah's conflict is about to come in the form of Leslie and Joey's partnership. I would assume that they would have some opposing views about it.

Why would this cause conflict?

I'm still annoyed that Vanessa can invite Joey to the club as her guest, and nobody objects.

Because Vanessa is a member of the club and guests of members are permitted and it wouldn't be a good look if he was rejected because he wasn't the 'right type'.
