Stuff does get cut when they piece the episodes together. But also some stuff is just not a priority and was never written or filmed. Mac has not been a priority for this show in over two decades. And Emma sadly isn’t the priority Joss is, so we don’t see everything about her life. They skip over details in the stories they drop or delay all the time.

There was some nice stuff with Emma and the Scorpios, Maxie, etc. around the holidays last year. She was a real presence there, with the kids and so on. I'd love for there to be more of it. But there hasn't been too much.

It's unfortunate that a lot of Emma's material gets cut or happens off screen. Mostly Emma only appears with Gio and it's not often. I don't think her relationship with Anna gets explored much let alone anything with Mac/Felicia. That being said, I had no problem believing she is close with Mac or the kids. BB and JJY don't need much material to make scenes work.

Speaking of police incompetence, how is Willow even going to trial? Chase is working on his own or whatever, but the PCPD is actively interviewing other suspects for Drew's murder. They aren't helping build the case against Willow-they are trying to tear it down. I know that's Alexis's whole strategy for acquittal, but Idk if the PCPD should be helping her cause lol.

Since when has the PCPD been good at their jobs? When Anna or Robert were chief of police in the 1980’s maybe? But even they didn’t notice Burt Ramsey running an evil empire until it was almost too late. Sean Donnelly had his moments. But poor Mac was never allowed to get the bad guy once he was made chief.

Elizabeth getting eyelid mites, complete with Bill Bell-esque PSA dialogue, feels like the writers trolling fans who wanted her to have a storyline.

At least it isn't as bad as Corrie years ago where they gave an actress that they were about to fire a nits storyline and she then had to go around with a shaved head that made her look like a Mad Max character.

Elizabeth's big "eyelid mites" storyline, which was set up and resolved in under 5 minutes, was completely baffling to me. Who was this for? Was it some kind of bizarre product placement? Probably not, since the eyelid mite medication she received at the end was never named. I'd love for a show to post a BTS video about this, like they did recently for those scenes with Emma and Gio's rescue dogs.
